new countdown

I am trying to add a countdown with a ticker for 4th sept 2008 :wacko:
when punch in it says wrong format :nono:
please can anyone tell me what I sholud punch in:rolleyes:

Have you added the time too?
I set one up last night and was getting really frustrated that it wouldn't accept it when I suddenly realised I had used 00.00 for the time rather than 00:00

Does the month have to be 3 letters ie sep?
