in your profile each message with have a check box after the time it was left..... 'tick' that, then click 'go' with delete in the drop down box (these are under the last message)

Apparently SMAX and/or the mods do a 'clean up' every now and again and sweep them off the system ! As I say, I only know because I had to ask last night as I felt rather rude deleting people's messages !!

As Cal said, only you can see that. Smax will have a clear out every so often .

Hard delete is not going to be an option. Not even mods can hard delete. Only admin can do that.

This is so that any nasty comments posted cannot be denied by the poster by simply deleting them. It is the same in all parts of the forum. They are just hidden until admin clean them up.

Is this the same with posts in SG's ? Is it only me that sees I've posted something and deleted it?

It looks so untidy... is there any way of restoring the comments?

Am I right in thiking this ...... they are NOT private then??

no anyone can read them...

for private things still use the private message system...
