For the last two weeks I have been trying to upload to my gallery or layouts and I keep getting the mesage" internet exploroer cannot display this page", can anyone help me out here please? I have uploaded my Lo to another online gallery and I know there isn't a problem with the file itself being too big, any advice?
What is the file size and image size you are trying to upload?
As a general rule a single LO should be resized to 600x600 pixels @ 72dpi. Saved as a JPG with compression set to 60 and that will give you a file size of about 100K.

I have just deleted one of my older photos from my gallery and tried to resubmit it but I am still getting the message "internet explorer cannot display the webpage"
Sounds like your firewall is blocking the upload then.

I have been able to upload both LO's to other online galleries though so wouldn't the firewall have blocked those too, I've never had this problem before!

Have you tried it from a different browser? Maybe you could download Firefox and try it through that instead of IE.

What version of Windows are you using (XP, Vista etc?)
If you want to try Firefox go here (http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/products/firefox/), you can download it free. Save the file to somewhere you can find it easily, then you can follow the instructions here (http://mozilla.gunnars.net/mozinst1.html).

I get the same message just trying to get on the site and often when going from one forum to another this happens, it isn't just when uploading, it seems to loose the connection to UKS and I know for a fact it isn't just me or my ISP I have spoken to several people having the same problem.
I wonder if it has anything to do with how many people are using the site at a given time. If it has what will happen with these new changes? If there are going to lots of people chatting, it will get worse.

Right , my son finally got this sorted we changed to firefox as suggested above and had exactly the same problem, after a lot of sorting we realised that we had upgraded our AVG anti virus software to version 8 and this is what is causing the problem. You need to disable link scanner and web shield and then it seems to work fine will try adding a photo to my gallery now just to make sure.

finally thought I would up load a card to my gallery, but my photos are to big. How do I make them smaller so I can upload?.. not that great on the compter when it comes to doing things like this. but can follow simple instructions.
thanks in anticipation...
