Welcome to May everyone! Here are our details for this month:
Club dates are:
Saturday 10th May, 9.30am - 1pm
Monday 19th May, 7.00pm - 9.40pm
Everyone is welcome, you can find more information about our club here (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/showthread.php?t=118320) if you haven't been to one of our sessions yet.
Crop on the 10th
We didn't get the chance to use the shrink plastic last month as we had a mini book frenzie instead! So we will definitely be having a go at using shrink plastic in the beginners corner. ScrapaJack can't make it this month as it is their retreat weekend, but we thought we would have a stash swap shop type event instead. If you have been spring cleaning your stash and want to bring along any unwanted items, we can all help ourselves and if anything is left perhaps donate it to a school or toddler group.
Class on the 19th
This month's kit includes 2 Basic Grey papers, 4 sheets of cardstock (2 black, 1 pale green, 1 dark green), a piece of swirl patterned grungeboard (flexible chipboard!) and an olive green inkpad. I've attached the layouts I have done so far, I still have enough left for another one so watch this space!
I have to order the kits on 8th May as Sarah is going on holiday so please let me know if you want one before then - thanks.
Scrapaholic CJ
The CJs are almost finished..... handovers will be at both May sessions. If you can't make a session, please ensure you arrange to pass your CJ onto the next person so there are no hold ups.
If you have any questions please let me know. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Sorry been AWOL, spent most of yesterday at Coate Water - was really nice, took the boys and their bikes and had a picnic and a play at the park. If the wind had dropped it would have ben like the height of summer!
Been out to Dobbies today and managed to get some nice frames for some photos we had done of the boys. Just waiting the the polyfilla to dry from the shelf holes we have taken down and then we can get them put on the wall.
Hoping for a BBQ this afternoon as we promised Liam we could have one this weekend  but I see it is raining again!! Thinking of doing the scarecrow trail in Wanborough tomorrow if it is dry - Trudy got Liam a form - there are loads of scarecrows arounf the villages that look like TV characters.... should be good fun.
Hope you are all having a good long weekend whatever you are up to.

Hello ladies :D
Just droppin' in to see how everyone is doing. It's been AGES since I caught up with you girls!! Not much has happened.. I went to the Scrapping Angels Retreat and saw Sandie :D The treat was FAB FAB FAB and I've just managed to finish of my LOs and projects from the retreat! Very pleased :D
We're moving to Naples, Italy in October. I'm really looking forward to it! We plan to drive down to Italy, so I've been very busy planning the trip. There are soooo many things I want to see on the way!! We plan to spend 5 whole days driving down there.. so we'll see how much I can fit in! And as we've been leaving soon, I've decided to make a mini album of our village, our house and our every day life here in England... I bought the Elsie Love ''Home'' papers for album   And Elsie Love ''Toby'' papers for the trip..!! Can't go wrong with those fancy papers! :P
Well, I hope everyone is doing great and I will make sure to log onto the thread more often!!

Mary we are finished the CJs, just waiting for Steph's to catch up as it was stuck at Jan's while she was in hospital. Mary E and Karen have one more to do as they couldn't make it on Saturday. So I will get Steph's one from Janet on Monday, do it ASAP and pass to you so you can do it as well by 7th June. I don't know what people have done in Steph's already so want to wait to see it before doing mine.
And yes, you are booked for Monday.
And I spoke to the church and we shouldn't have any further double booking problems!
And the 13th September is OK and booked as our all day birthday crop :)
Mary Buttons
16-05-2008, 04:38 PM
brilliant about the 13th Sept and about double bookings
I wouldn't clash with anyone on Steph's cos my hero was alway my dad so will do a dlo about him. I don't go in for any other kind of hero at all so that's the best I can do.

Kind of like Hobbycraft.. but much bigger!! You should check it out, if you plan to stock up on some stash!! Have fun!! xxx

no i dont think florida has a Hobby Lobby which is a shame, i like some of their exclusive love, elsie lines.
got a couple of early bday pressies today..some pink paislee stamps (the set withthe cupcake), a gingerbread man charm from Links of London, some dollars, an underwater disposable camera (will use on water rides!) and a framed print from marcus of the wicked queen in snow white, to match the one of Maleficint (sleeping beauty) i already have

We are off narrowboating, so hopefully should be a good week. Only problem is I have just looked at the 5 day weather forecast! Nightmare scenario - pouring rain and 6 people cooped up on a small boat - plus Ben has lost his waterproof coat (we think at school although we have looked everywhere) so it couldnt be worse!! Speaking of weather...I will be flying to Mongomery, Alabama in June to visit my grandkids. Now that is some hot weather. I would love to come to a crop but I have not driven in Swindon yet. It is still kind of scary for me. Hope everyone has a great day.

We are really easy to get to from Fairford Melody, just straight down the A419 towards the M4 and there is only 2 roundabouts to negotiate. If/when you feel ready to give it a go just shout and we will direct you.
How long are you visiting your grandchildren for?

I will be there for two weeks. When I return in July I may try to drive to a crop.

You would probably not want the heat from Alabama maybe just some of the sunshine.
