Morning everyone!

Would have liked Shimelle's class, but not without kit, not sure I'd keep it up!!!!!

Peacock scared the whatnot out of DD last week.

Hoping to go to NCT nearly new sale before swimming this morning, but better leave DD behind!

Morning all, I'm on a momouth clear up of the dining room this morning, so will just be popping in and out. Also Shredding old bank statements, but the shredder only lets me do about 40 pages at a time and then it needs to cool down for a 5 min rest and i have 100's to do - How frustraiting!

I liked the winner in Sues comp, but I still think the circles one is very good too.

Not surprised she was scared- they must be almost as tall as she is! I got scared half to death at a similar age by a black swan which chased me and I've never trusted one since.

DH is on one of his document clear outs at the moment too and is scanning and shredding boxes of stuff. He keeps asking me to do it during the week but life's too short!

OK in the cold light of day I have just re read my earlier comment re the winner of the comp and realised it reads two ways - I wasn't saying that the circle one was 'as good as hers' meaning as good as the woman who won - I meant done deal - circle one won - I am not making alot of sense am I? cold light of day it may be but I can still talk drivel fluently!
I'm just trying to say that I didn't mean the winner wasn't a deserving one - I just thought it would be circle one!

Advice please- I'm going to make this handbag box (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/attachment.php?attachmentid=102834&d=1208522645) into a mini album-should I leave it pink and flowery or go for painting it black>

I'd go for painting it black but that's because I'm not really a pink person - pink is very popular?

so to sum up - er, maybe???

tigerlady
19-04-2008, 01:05 PM
I'm veering towards painting it black- think if I'm going to put my little girly charms on it black would look more "classy"
My DH's sneeze has developed a ricochet!!!! Used to just be a really loudATCHOOO Now it's more of a ATCHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Mind you it still rattles the plates on the wall

I have a really bad habit of voting on every poll on here- regardless of whether I'm entitled to or not!!! Have just voted NO on the "Should Cricut owners have their own forum?" and of course I'm the only person who has said no so far
I often vote on the polls people put up in Testing and help as a try-out- freaks them out!!!

I'm thinking about doing 8x8 for my cc los cos all my 12x12 albums are full and I have 6 empty 8x8's. Not sure I'll be able to cope with converting the sizes under cc pressure though!

Mary Buttons
19-04-2008, 08:19 PM
If it is just the photo/s that you don't think you will be able to convert easily why don't you make an 8x8 page on the computer and 'see' the size of photo to go on there by importing the photo onto that page and sizing it accordingly.

tigerlady

Yes, I'll give that a go, thanks, Mary.

I got two pages done of my mini book of our retreat at Scrapaholix this morning but just don't feel like doing any more at the mo. think I am tired thats why. and I have a busy day tomorrow. I don't usually go to the evening service but I have been asked by my friend if I would set up my computer so that she can do a power point presentation, she is preaching tomorrow night and as I don't often see her I really want to do this for her. Think I will have to make sure I rest in the afternoon.

While at the swimming pool I was waiting in the snack bar and 2 little boys of about 4 were chatting. Mother of one yelled"Jack come here and stay with grandma I'm going out for a bit" "jack yelled back- "I don't like staying with Grandma"
his little chum pipes up"Is it because she is cruel to you?"
Every head in the place turned to look at poor Grandma who looked like she wanted the ground to open up and swallow her!

Wondered how long it would take you to see. It has not long happened though Smax did it but said it should be Shoppaholic by she is at a crop
I got the pm from Smax at 7.25 so thats not bad but you were obviously tired cos thats the sort of thing you see right away.

Hello by the way.

Been football today. it was blooming cold, and damp. We won though and they were two good goals so that's good.

Mary Buttons
19-04-2008, 09:15 PM
Glad you enjoyed it but I bet you could do with a hot bath and a hot toddy and your dressing gown. I would not have liked to be standing around outside today

Kat the Cobbler
19-04-2008, 09:17 PM
don't do standing. I'm in the seats (actually Sixfields is all seater) I've had some soup (didn't actually fancy a meal) and I'm trying to warm up.

I'm having fun on the kids swap thread- one of the kids has had her swap but can't work out who it's from. Jemm, another Mum and I have been working it out from all the clues. I love logic puzzles!

tigerlady
19-04-2008, 09:26 PM
You put all the people you might want to talk to online on your buddy list and open it up when you come on each time and then you know who is and isn't around-eg at the mo it's just you and Tracie on mine. Badly explained, sorry

Kat the Cobbler

tigerlady
19-04-2008, 09:27 PM
OK easy one to start off.
The tallow obtained by burning ten candles will yield one extra candle. If you burned 1000 candles how many extra candles could you make?

tigerlady
19-04-2008, 09:34 PM
Or a non-numerical one:
Dee Septor, the famous magician, claims that when he is in the far north he can point his car north on an ordinary road, drive for one mile and without turning around, end up one mile south of where he started. How does he do it?

Kat the Cobbler
19-04-2008, 09:38 PM
the second one he's driving in reverse

Mary Buttons
19-04-2008, 09:39 PM
it go on ad infinitum I've got to 651 from just 100 candles that cant be right surely

tigerlady
19-04-2008, 09:40 PM
:D Correct!

tigerlady
19-04-2008, 09:41 PM
Sorry, Mary correct was for Kat- a lot of my posts aren't posting straight off tonight.
No it's not 651

Mary Buttons
19-04-2008, 09:42 PM
from 1000 you get 100 from that 100 you get 10 from that 10 you get 1

so 111 not sure if that is right or not.

19-04-2008, 09:45 PM

Click on my name and the drop down menu says add to buddy list. Add all those you want then, when you first log in go quick links, open buddy list.
If I'm cruising the boards before switching off I check mine to see who is around before logging off! If there are loads of folk I may stay a bit longer or if everyone has sloped off to bed I know without having to check back to our thread or wherever.

We got 1935 points last month which included 85 layouts

Bear in mind that this month will be a high scoring month because of the cyber crop (although I'm not sure how much I'm going to do) to be honest a lot of the classes don't really spring out to me as inspiration. Might do most of it digi.

Well, typically I woke up at 6.20 and despite keeping my earplugs in for an hour and all snuggled up with eyes shut, didn't get back to sleep, so got up and showered. What's the bets that tomorrow, when I have to get up at that time and drive to Stroud that I won't be so awake?!?!?! No time to visit Paperarts though!!! You've kind of inspired me - we've never really decorated any room apart from once since we moved in, now I want a new bathroom floor, repaint on hall, stairs and landing and also been hankering for a change in living room - better wait until DD has passed that mucky pup stage - what do you reckon? 10 years!??!

Evening all, I have finally found some time to chat! What a weekend! DD1 had a sleepover, DD2 had eye tests. We went to watch a dance show and today had to take DD1 to St Georges Day parade. Her last event as a cub, she leaves on Tuesday. We were so lucky, the service was held at the Royal memorial chapel in Sandhurst. The building is just beautiful. parents are hearded away from the kids and I ended up in a balcony (almost out of site) so I used the opportunity to take sneaky photos of the stained glass windows. THANK YOU JANE for teaching me how to use the AV setting, I lowered my ISO setting, set the lighting and managed to snap away without flash and without anyone knowing- tee hee. It was a lovely service and I joined in and sung all the hymns, but I did find myself (during a very long sermon) thinking about a lovely bit of BG periphery paper that I have that would suit those window shots!

Anyway, logged on to chat about 3 hours ago and saw Hilary's comment about the monthly. I thought I had missed it, so logged off and bashed of a LO for FAMILY. Picture is not brilliant as taken in the dark, but here it is... FAMILY (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=157863&cat=500&ppuser=22350)
