NO it is still worth it.
This will be my 4th time to Holland if I didn't like it wouldn't keep returning.:)
I had a look at the sunday schedule
Classes I would recommend
Karen Burniston (wall toy)here is her blog so you can see her style
www.karenburniston.com
Melodee Langworthy - Family Favourites & Pieces of me
www.melodeelangworthy.typepad.com
Or The rusty pickle class & Dyan Reavely
There is a spoiler for the thong thing class, a flip flip mini book using Imaginesce papers.

CD's album track is the same project she did at CKU, but with different papers and different color palette. There are loads and loads of techniques in it with all different types of materials, cloth, tissue, cardboard, floss, you name it!

me and my mum booked yesterday - really looking forward to this. Went last year to Amsterdam and really enjoyed it but we can manage the UK one. Travelling from Aberdeen to Fife to pick up Mum and then come down.
Anyone else having probs accessing the website - it keeps taking me to the 2007 site or if I click on the header in my email it says "Not Found - The requested URL /index_mini.php was not found on this server."
Any ideas?

Hi Elaine-
I think I did figure it out, the ISP changed named servers and the complete prorogation to all ISPs can take some more hours. However, people are trying scrap-a-ganza.nl and are able to reach the site.

Thanks tried this - got to the site and tried to log in but says
"This is an invalid registration ID for the member zone. If you are a member and you need to verify your information, please send an e-mail to info@scrap-a-ganza.com"
I verified my email when I registered yesterday. - what do I do now?
Thanks

Maggie - I would have loved to come to Amsterdam but haven't renewed my passport either - a bit easier staying in the UK. I will miss the chat and amount of laughing we did in that class!
Dawn - thanks for helping with the link - tried it but no luck have PMed so hopefully will get it sorted for me and Mum as she hasn't been able to verify her email address so hasn't been able to get in and book any classes.
Nice to be back on the scrapping map again!

im a bit worried by the new post that there are only 100 people booked for stratford. I hope that it runs regardless of numbers.
I booked for the Lipstick retreat which ended up beig cancelled and was gutted and its taken me this long to choose another retreat i fancy. Ive never been to one before and if this gets cancelled too i think i will give up.

******Let's just get this clear*********
WE WILL NOT CANCEL THE EVENT!!!!
at this point we are losing money, but that isn't your concern. I do find it shocking as we have been doing the event successfully in Holland for several years running. In Holland the week before Stratford we have more than 450 pre registrations. We have plenty of repeat customers from the UK that come to the Holland event. I wouldn't dream of tarnishing my reputation.
Not to mention, we have already put a hefty heap of money down for the hotel.
I'm just saying that it would be *nice* to get a few more.
We planned for 200, and otherwise it will be cozy and you guys will get tonnes of free gifts, lots of individual attention from the tutors and the laugh will be on those who didn't come!
And it will have been a very expensive party for me! LOL!
suttyscrappers
25-04-2008, 10:34 PM
thankyou so much for coming on and putting my mind at rest. I didnt intend to worry anyone, and have seen the reviews for Holland and know that these retreats are spectacular. I guess its a case of build things up here too. A lot of people were let down by Lipstick and i was so looking forward to it, I just didnt want to get excited and be let down again.
So again my apologies and thank you :D:D
elaineb
25-04-2008, 10:38 PM
HURRAY - didn't think it would be cancelled. Me and my Mum I loved Holland last year but wanted to support the UK event. If it goes well - which it will - you will be fully booked next year - as long as those that came this year get priority!!!!!! (joke)
I think that Andrea was just abit worried after the Lipstick retreat being cancelled but she has nothing to worry about as the classes are great, kits fabulous and goody bag phenomenal. At least we will probably all get the classes we want.
Me and my Mum have been to a few retreats and by far Scrapaganza was the well run and DEFINETLY the best value for money.
I just hope that more people decide to come and isn't too expensive for you.

I'm still looking for a roommate if anyone wants to save themselves the supplement. As far as I know I don't do anything nasty like snore. Plus we can spend the supplement on even more stash

I wouldn't worry Jem - the one they are on about is Jemm (with two mms), who is also a member here
I wouldn't worry about anything an anonomous person wrote about me lol, well maybe if they said I had BO or bad breath, I'd ask DH. Not that I need to, on occasion he's been known to pass me chewing gum, lmao.

Yeah, but to be fair, so do we
I'm trying to persuade DH that he wants to either have a trip to Scrapbus in Newtown or a trip to Stratford so I can go to at least one scrapping event....wish me luck ladies, as it looks like I only have a few days to manage it!

Good luck :D
Sarah, the Stratford registration is open a bit longer than Holland so you have a while to work on him, certain favours have been known to work in the past....
Like making his favourite tea, cuppa's without asking etc ;)

Just for clarification... all the totes will be one colour! Making Memories make them in a selection of colours... but SAG have all one colour to save arguements!

I think we need to point out that its only the Divas (full weekend package) who are getting the totes, the cheaper packages will be getting something else..... if you check out the price page on the website it tells you what you get in each package.....
Beach Bums get a Goodie Bag
Party Animals get an "Ultimate" Goodie Bag
Divas get the "Super Mega" Goodie Bag
Here's the sneek peak for the Diva's goody bag tote.

Unfortunately my car decided to blow something major on Thursday and as I need a car for my job, I am going to have to use the money I had put aside for Stratford to get it repaired. A real bummer as I had been looking forward to the whole event but there is always next year I hope!
{{{{Debs}}}} That sucks! Maybe you'll have a little win on the lotto between now and then.
