Alabama Slammer:
1oz Southern Comfort
1oz Amaretto
1/2oz Sloe Gin
A dash of lemon juice

Pour all ingredients (except for the lemon juice) over ice in a highball glass, stir and add a dash of lemon juice - Enjoy :)

(There are a couple of varieties of this drink... some use 1/2oz of each, some use Orange juice...)

The OF and people he talks to on the phone till gone 2 o'clock int he morning just have no common sense at all!!! I mean, what decent peson would keep phoning someone's house till 2am??? Yes 88 bricks and a great big sack of sand have just arrived!!! This is for our new conservertory dh is rebuilding, making it bigger weve outgrown the old one!!!

Spoke to Jan and she is well, just rushed off her feet. She is looking to come back soon. However, as she is so busy she thinks it is best we choose a new leader. So I think maybe the best way to do it is if everyone can pm the person they would like to be the new leader and hopefully that will decide for us. (and hope that you all are in agreement to do it this way) The person you vote for will go no further than my eyes!

I have asked you pm me as I dont want the job as I'm still a newbie and feel that one of you oldies will do a far better job!! :lol:

I'm now nervous! dd1 finished school at 3.25pm and should now be walking home by herself for the first time :o in reality, she's probably not got as far as the cloakroom yet :rolleyes: she goes very slowly! well it won't happen often as dd1's school is virtually next door to dd2's school, so I collect both of them at once more or less. Today dd2 is going to a freind's after school so tha's why dd1 got to walk home by herself. It is weird that she's getting grown up though. Over Easter holidays I had her making cups of tea for me :D I almost felt guilty asking her, but she seems to enjoy it :)

so you know when you look at it, its one of them glass clip frames, the ribbons and lettering are underneath the glass and the little heart gems and the flowers are on top of the glass.

it would be interesting to know what some of these celebs look like when not airbrushed and fully made up too

they actually look really really good. Being here in Santa Monica, I do tend to see celebs but I never rush up to them. I just allow them their space and privacy.

When I am up close (because I'm in the same line as they are), their skin from face to neck to hands are truly amazing. You can tell they really take great care of themselves. They are also very nice as well.

I'm back and soooooooo pleased with my new ink :D I love it!!!! It's perfect!!! Dai (my tatt artist) is a genius with the needle (ok, and my design was good to start with :lol: ), he gets it right every time!!! Just waiting on Mr Fireman's opinion (via txt, he's working), then I'm putting pics up on my blog :)

I was just reviewing the number of layouts I've completed thus far for the year, and I can't believe its 17. This is more than I've ever scrapped....ever! In the 10+ years I've been collecting. LOL...and I love all my layouts. There are a few I could go back and change/add this or that, but I'm just going to forge foward.

I dont answer the phone after 10pm and wouldn't phone anyone after this unless and emergency. As a rule though I dont phone people after 9pm and dont like getting phone calls after 9pm. ...... unless im out on the 'P' and I phone everyone at 3am!!! :lol:

Not me! That's the even more annoying bit!!! I've had numerous nights now with the phone ringing till gone 2am!!!! All calls - of course - for the OF who seems to treat my house as a hotel! (Can you tell, I am ever so slightly miffed? lol). I have asked - politely! - to please tell whoever keeps phoning so late to please NOT do so any more an if they have to, to please phone his mobile... And last night I just had enough!!! Friggin' 10 past midnight the phone started ringing again!! So I disconnected the one I have upstairs and the one in the kitchen (which is mine anyway) and have only left the one in the living room. That now should give me peaceful nights and sleep!!! I don't use the landline anyway; only person to phone me on that is my mam. Gonna tell her to not use that any more until the OF moves out!! Grrrrrr I am sooooooo annoyed!!!! I mean, do people have no common sense any more??? Who on earth would think nothing of ringing a LANDLINE in the middle of the night - in a house where there are children asleep and other people than the one they are ringing are living!!

So, thanks for the input. Just needed re-assurance it's not just me (which the OF is trying to convince me of... unsuccessfully ha!).
