I've bought myself a new digi camera this morning. I went into Jessops and tried it out first but wasn't going to pay their prices! I ended up getting the model lower and saving myself £130! No brainer really! I don't mind a slightly different model for that kind of saving!

We have a WII. Ron bought it for himself a few weeks ago. I still haven't had a go on it but I will on Saturday evening. We have visitors for the weekend and my friend Del is bringing his 2 controllers with him so we'll be bowling! I like the look of the fitness thing too.

we tried bowls i had tw goes but my head was hurting so shan and kieran played on their own and kieran knocked them all down with one bowl he is brilliant

i knocked them all down with two though so not too bad and that was with no practise its brill

i will have a look when i next go into town which will probably be saturday after karate hope they still have them

well i found my camera charger earlier today it was with my psp cables lol so i have put my digi camera on charge

i dislike the royal family, but gritted my teeth for john as he was invited to her garden party and her home in the centre of edinburgh, for 43 yrs service to the country and also work he does for charity john had to go in the scottish national dress of kilt and dress jacket me i had to wear a dress or suit i wore a long skirt and matching top,he so loved it and thats why i went for him he has some lovely photos which i hope to put in a book so he can keep them,and boy we got to stop in a real posh hotel never do that again if i had to pay for it, it was £200 pound a night each. He still talks about it now,so it was worth gritting my teeth and going for him.he works hard and looks after good too.
well not done much except collect stuff for my page have most what i want john is going to take a more recent photo of me tomorrow that i can use.

i had driving lesson this morning, then had to go to my parents to help out, as my dad is very ill, i help mum to look after him.
then tonight it was my turn to cook tea for my best mate and her daughter, then after tea i have been helping her with her theory tests.

how was work?

Work was ok actually, i work in an src unit at a residential home which is for people who suffer with mental care needs ( dementia, alzheimers, etc) and can be very stressful but it was calm tonight (no punches!!) we do have a resident who is dying soo spent alot of time with him, but was good otherwise.

Howz the driving going? I passed my test 7 yrs ago when i was 17 and it was definatly the best thing i'd ever done!

the driving is going really well hun thanks. altho i have had to postpone my test as it was booked for monday just gone but i didnt feel ready so its been put back for a couple of weeks. i cant wait to drive as i has full use of a brand new zafira, the only thing i have to do is make sure that the car is available to take my dad to any hospital/doctors appointments etc, then mum says its mine to use as long as i put petrol in it as (according to mum lol) they dont run on 'a promise' lol

i used to work at a care home too, i was only a domestic but i can see how stressful it can be. there was a lady in there that didnt like being prodded/poked etc and whenever she has cathater (not a good speller) etc she used to rip them out. she would also smear poo all over the place lol and that was my job to clean it up lol im glad i got pregnant and had to leave really as it was getting me down, seeing all those elderly frail people deteriorating all the time.

yeah it does get hard doesnt it! It makes you realise as well how horrible it is to get oold! u sort of expect to get old and die but then working with em u realise it isnt that straight forward! very scary!

I have been scrapping for a couple of years, just more into cardmaking. I have managed 5 scrapbooks so far so I am getting there. I just don't seem to have the imagination for it as I do for cards, maybe its just because there is a bigger area to cover.

maybe you have come to a halt because of the papers, try going back to what you used before

there are lots of mags/books out there with ready done sketches for you to give you layout ideas

well i am just back from b&q and have real sore legs now i walked round that store while john got the stuff he decided he must have today, so not got the housework done,or any crafting i have my cj page half done was hoping to finish it,maybe tomorrow.Love the hamsters are they cute. i loved the once upon a time papers when i had seen them on qvc but knew if i got them i would struggle to use them to there full potential and do photos justice as not been scrapbooking long,mainly like you into cards sharon. How are you researching your family tree Karen?

It was done in the late 70's by some family over in America who were visiting. I carried it on years ago. Then put it away - as you do! Decided to take the plunge and register with Genes Reunited. Was trying to trace my mums side but with not much luck, so decided to try dads side. This is where I have been most successful. Contacted quite a few people with connections to our family and waiting an email from another lady to see if her tree matches to mine - just drawing a blank though on the Census information. Have posted a message on Geneaology to see if there is any other sites to look at!

dawn....... yeah we can slightly tell them apart, one is a tiny bit lighter in colour than the other and is more active. smirnoff is not as lively as jerry, last night jerry was going mad in the wheel lol it was like chinese water torture lol need to find out if i can oil the wheel somehow, as the noise was awful lol then when smirnoff woke up he was trying to get in the wheel at the same as jerry only trying to go the opposite way, their little legs were going hell for leather trying to turn the wheel lol then they did acrobatics lol hanging from the top bars of the cage, i was in hysterics lol

dawn, i used my digi cam hun but when i tried to upload the piccy to here, it says the photo was too big and to re-size it. if i use my fone then its fine, the piccies upload to here no probs but not with the camera. i'm on xp hun so if you can give me a little tip on how to do it that would be great. your a star babes xx

try finding a phto that is too large then right click on it and see if the resizer comes up in the box that shows

when you upload a pic just right click on it and either choose the resizer if its listed or choose open with and then choose the resizer

if you have it set up like mine then its will save the file as a smaller file and leave the original as it is and then save the smaller file in the same folder

watercolours are fine hun

sansador is a medium that you use with other colouring types is pastels and prisma pencils

i have got all of them and they are all different yet nice in their own way

watercolours are perfect for starting with anyhow and give a lovely effect

sharon yes they are nice but i havent tried any other pencils so cannot compare

you do get a much deeper cloured effect than with watercolours though so are very nice to use

havent seen what you are on about yet bridget but i think i need to find out now lol

you use the pencils direct to paper then you get some sansador and a stump which is basically paper wound very very very tightly and then you dip the stump into the sansador and then apply to paper blending in the penciled areas

not a very good description but there are some tutorials somewhere around t help if you get them

i only had a small pack as i couldnt afford the large set but trust me you need the large set as i find i am very short of colours

well dawn sorry i was late for my afternoon tea,hope your at the hospital now getting your blood test. What have i been upto, still have internet issues but not as bad,told them to sort it or else,they updated my computer while i was on with there upgrade never asked my permission and it has been problems since the weekend,not amused. putting more things up in our finished bathroom as long as you dont look at the floor its the only thing not done yet.cannot put all the things i had on the wall as they will not all fit back as we made some things different. then took my lastest yuck picture for the cj page which i have started it is half done as i needed the photos to progress,eaten a nice good dinner. and just about to go and get dessert and maybe watch some of the last of C&C craft day, which has been same old stuff as usual but it beats watching football. might catch you all later, hugs to everyone.

Yes, Karen i so hate my photo taken,one of the reasons is i am a large lady and people can make fun and even if there not there you know some do,i was alot slimer when i did not have to take so many medications to enable to me to walk without being in a wheelchair so i guess i live with it myself as i have no choice,steriods are my main bugbare along with morphine for pain.
Sorry you have a poorly back nic rest up and hopefully it will ease before your visitors come tomorrow, me i am off to bed early as i want to still rest my legs so i can do some stuff tomorrow.

I hate having my photo taken too, also hate being caught out on video. We used to borrow my f-i-l's video to take on holiday and sometimes because I was always behind the camera it looked like dh was on holiday all by himself! morning all, or should i say afternoon, well i've been out this morning to get the fish for the kids tank, there was an open day in my pet shop so there was some extra animals there, an owl and something that resembled a rat but was 3 times the size and called something else!

but i did touch it and as i am petrified of rats and touched one thats 3 times the size you should all be proud of me!! lol

hi girls, forgot to say yesterday dawn loved your book with the hint of pink and your pink tools too. And liz the cards were lovely too. well what have i done this morning stripped beds to wash, chatted to son to make sure he is okay as he and his partner have split up,james not sure if its permanent.
just printed out my photos for my cj and need to work out where to put it on the page,will have to lay it on the page and ponder a while to decide,and am off to sponsors to buy more brads, i have a bag load here somewhere but i give up cannot find them.

HOTP is the company, and they put lots of ideas out with the materials. I've generally just lifted the ideas, but have changed a bit.

I'm feeling pretty chipper today after a good night's sleep. OH surprised me with a very nice evening out last night: we went out for tapas and a few glasses of wine. It was a bit of a departure from the diet (5 weeks til holiday and still look scary in cossie) but nice to spend some time together.

ive changed my medication and im supposed to be increasing weekly til i get to 400mg but i can only increase 100mg per week the day after i have blood tests but i forget to thave my blood tests so ive only just started today on 200mg so im so not good at all

im feeling down, low, upset, depressed,paranoid and like i so want to kill someone which i every nearly did today and all because he had no manners!!!! ill teach people to be rude!!

Hope that helps! I'm not the huggiest person (much to the chagrin of my mother who now lives in the States and hugs perfect strangers).

My mother suffered from debilitating depression the whole time I was growing up, so though I can't understand how you feel, I do a little bit. I know it can be all encompassing and take over your whole life. All I can say is that there is always a way: the medication is so important and it takes a while to find one that suits you, but it is so worth the effort. And I know so many people who have come out the other side, so keep on keeping on.

As I said before, let's hope all the rubbish stuff for the year has now come and gone, and you have a great rest of the year to look forward to.
