Love your LO Wendy, the photo is amazing, I knew it didn't look quite right, but didn't twig that it was made of ice until I read your bit below it. I'm glad about the tickets, the NEC isn't too bad from here, but it was probably the dates that caused a problem, as both my kids have big exams this summer plus the one we are going to is close to DD's 18th Birthday, so it's part of her celebrations.
I haven't had any ideas for our next challenge, so look forward to hearing other people's ideas! Already looking forward to it being our turn again!
I have done a quick LO for this week, and now all my scrapping stuff is put away ready to get the sewing machine out for DD to get stitching. Hope she doesn't take too long because I'm itching to get on with some of my projects.
My LO is here (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=155642&cat=503).

Goodmorning ladies! Well the plane ticket has been purchased for my ds4 to go back to the USA and live with his dad for awhile. Even though I know its the only answer right now it still is hitting me very hard as he is the "baby" of the family and means no more children left at home, in alot of ways I am totally ok with this...but I am also quite tearful about it...doesn't take much to set me off at the moment. On the flipside of the coin..my mum arrives tomorrow and I am very excited about that! I pray she gets on that plane  Hoping to get some scrapping done today if I can tear myself away from here
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Aww Tee, that's sad for you (((((big hugs))))). Knowing in your head that something is a good idea and having to deal with the emotions of it are always poles apart so I can understand why you're feeling so sensitive atm. At least hopefully your Mom coming will help take your mind off things. Love your ideas btw. I think that's a great possibility.

(((HUGS))) Tee. I can understand about you getting tearful. You've a lot happening at the moment and it's all quite emotional stuff. Tears are there to help us cope and stop us bottling everything up. Let's hope you have a great time with your mum. xxx
Sorry I've not been around much today. Had my cousin over and then I fell sleep straight after tea which is how I'm on here now. Won't be around now until Friday as I'm having a girlie day/night/sleepover with my sister. It'll be so nice to have a fun time with her as we haven't done that in several months.
Hope you're all as well as you can be and have a couple of great days. Catch you when I'm back home xx

Just trying to catch up on everything at the mo but just had to share with you all... have just ordered the silhouette die cutter:ph34r: Found it hard to justify the money right now but know that it will pay for itself when i start using it to cut page titles (who am i kidding!!) Well, its done now and i am excited about it really

Vicki, I had a pampering party just over a year ago. It was great fun, so I hope you had fun at yours too. I got a make-over on the night which was fab.
Cheryl, these gadgets are not always justifiable, but they are necessary aren't they? I had a purple cased crop-a-dile ()arrive today which I've managed to justify as I craft quite a lot through the night. I wanted to make holes in chipboard the other night and couldn't, well now I can :D :D :D

I have had a nice day, my friend came over and we went into town for some lunch and a mooch round the shops, then we came back for a cuppa and watched a DVD she had brought -James Toseland's band Crash. We are planning our next girlie day, probably going to London in a few weeks.

Hi everyone, just doing a quick catch up as I can't sleep again.
Sounds like everyone's busy with HW, crafting and more this week-end. I've been feeling a little off-colour, so had a duvet day. Feel a lot better now though.
Jane, I used my crop-a-dile this evening with chipboard and it was fantastic. Silent, easy to use and quick. I'd most definately recommend it.
I'm hoping to do some crafting later. I need to get the weekly challenge done before I run out of time.

Sarah, thanks for the info, I felt a bit intimidated by the cropodile when I first saw it, but it sounds a useful bit of kit!
Tee, feel free to jump in, all info gratefully received! is the big bite the same as the cropodile, but more versatile? being able to punch holes right into 12 x 12 sounds better, but not if it is harder to handle (I haven't seen one yet, so don't know!) I only have little hands, and my grip isn't always that good you see.

Yes thank goodness for my craft room too. Means i don't have to tidy away at the end of the day if i don't want to meaning that the next time i craft its there to carry straight on with. I used to hate having to use the dining table as it had to put away when done which meant if i only had an hour say to craft i couldn't be bothered.

Finally made one thing, but apparently can't upload it yet until there's a gallery for it. Might put it on my blog though *.....sneakily creeping.....*. Best have a look now, and get going cos I'm out all day 2morrow.

Goodmorning everyone..sorry I have not been about as much, been a very busy 5 days working and then trying to keep mum from getting too bored after being alone all day cause of us working. I have tonight to go at work then 5 days off so hope to spend lots of time showing my mum around england...well the coast is a definate this weekend if the weather stays nice..clacton, and such...perhaps felixstowe...not sure exactly where yet.
I have a couple ideas for the weekly challange which I will be doing tomorrow. Ladies I hope I have commented on all of yours that have already finsihed ....please give me a smack and a nudge if I haven't.
We spent a bit of time packing more boxes last night..doing a few each night so it won't be so bad come closer the date. Moving date is set for the 25th and we have our appointment to pick up the keys that morning. soooooooo probably the night of the 24th I will be packing my pc up and probably won't be back online until the 26th or 27th.
Friday we take my son to the airport for his flight to the states to live at his dad's :( We are planning going out for Chinese that evening so hopefully I will be in the mood for it....I am finding him leaving harder then I thought I would.:(
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

his stepdad and I have been through some tough times with him over the past couple years and a lot of hurt has occured...I spent alot of nights and days in tears but I still love him to bits..I know in my heart its time for him to go and spend time with his dad if for nothing else to see how the other half lives iyswim....but even at almost 20 he will always be my baby. But I also think we will have a much better relationship when he gets away from the crowd he's been hanging around with here and gets becomes a bit more independant. Time will tell.

Hi everyone, great LO's ladies.
Tee, my thoughts and love are with you all with everything that's happening. I do hope you manage to enjoy your days off and that things go ok on Friday. It's a tough time and one I'm sure you'll be glad to get to the end of. You have your mum with you so I'm sure she'll help you to get through it. She'll have some idea of how you're feeling as she had one of her 'babies' come to England and look how well you've got on :)
(()HUGS))I can't imagine it with mine. I;ve told hims hes got to live with me always cos i couldn't bear letting him go:P!!!
Can we remind you of this in a few years?:lol:
I had this morning with my mum, shopping and lunching. I managed to get some lovely unvarnished wooden nesting boxes at £2 for a set of 2. I got one of each of the flat and domed top sets. I intend altering the domed ones to make look like pirates chests for Christmas and put gems and chocolate coins in. Just gotta work out how now

off to Glitter Pot this morning. I need to buy some bits (thats my excuse anyway) for a scrapbook i am doing for my mum & stepdads pearl anniversary next month. i've had the album for ages & would have started ages ago but have been waiting for my siblings to actually send me some photos to be able to use (its going to be photos of us kids & grankids) & typically my siblings have not been in a hurry to get me the pics. The meal celebration isn't until 3rd May though so i can get cracking now.
regarding points for it . its a a4 sized album so i take it , that with points it would be as normal for single or double los?

I got my last papercraft part-work and just have to use them now. I'm setting myself the target of using them to make at least: 4 cards, 4 LO's, 1 alternative scrap thingy and 1 other thing per month. Will I do it? Who knows! I think I need to do a mini-book to keep a record of what I do, so that'll be the '1 other' for this month I reckon.

Love your LOs Amanda and Sarah!
Tee, I think it was on one of your LOs that I fell in love with Dreamboat, just had to wait until I could find it cheap. I had a look at the big bite at AP, but it didn't look that easy to use to me.
I did spend more than I intended, mainly on stamps, dies and embossing folders. I really MUST get started on making cards now!
Unfortunately I didn't get to meet Rachel, once inside I had no phone signal and the place was so crowded there was little chance of spotting her walking around. Better luck next time - when we all go in September I would suggest arranging a set time and place to meet!

Great LO Tee, I love those photos.
I have put most of my new stash away now. Funny thing, DH mentioned a couple of times that it would be nice to have money to spend like I spent it today (I did point out that I have just spent over £500 on our new garage door, so it's not like I keep all my earnings to myself - not to mention that I have been saving up for this since the new year!)
But he was fascinated by the cricut expression being demonstrated until he found out the price, then I mentioned that something like the Craft Robo is probably cheaper and more versatile - and when we got home he started researching them online. I have a birthday next month - might I get lucky??

Hi all,
Haven't been on forum much this week. Hope I've left comments on all your new LO's. All the ones I've seen are great. Glad to hear you had a good trip to AP Rachel and Jane, shame you didn't manage to meet up. Glad you're settled into your new home now Tee (and hope you're managing to come to terms with your son leaving .... it will get easier). Hey Amanda, how are you enjoying the new series of Dr Who? Do you like Catherine Tate as his side-kick? Hope all you lucky girls who are at home today have fun crafting .... I'm just finished my lunch break so it's back to work! 'Bye for now...

hmm shes ok. i wasn't keen on here in "The Runaway Bride " at all so was abit wary of how she would be in a whole series. I;m trying to see her as abit better (she was OK in Partners In Crime) but in Saturdays Fires of Pompeii she was as gobby & awful as ever actually which may well ruin it for me.
david is of course lovely though so some compensations:)

Hi everyone, Rachel, a fantastic LO. Sounds like you certainly had a day of it. At least it didn't put you off going back :D
Trouble with Catherine Tate is that every time I see her, all I can hear is "am I bovvered?" and I hate that saying. I've never been a Dr Who fan, so I'll leave that to the rest of you
Oh yeah, I'm catching up with the Elsie challenges. #8 is here (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=157082&limit=recent)

Love the LOs Rachel, we were introduced to Wagamama's by friends last year, and often pop in now if we see one when we are out for the day! I love that new BG paper too, I looked out for that pack at AP, but didn't see it, so I will have to order it instead.
I don't like Catherine Tate either, so I don't rate her ar the new assistant; in fact, I find she puts me off watching it at the moment.
I have got the details of this week's challenge, it's an interesting one but I haven't a clue yet what to do.

I don't find Catherine Tate funny either. Don't watch DR Who but I certainly wouldn't if she was in it. What an odd choice for an assistant.

Lovely LO's ladies.
I've been working on a Dottie card this afternoon. Spent ages doing it as I wasn't really sure what I wanted. Took me half an hour to decide what colour to use for the base card! No wonder I don't get much done
Did anyone else have mad weather today? We had lovely sun, so I opened the windows, then it hailed, sun again, thunder, sun, hail, sun, wind, rain. It was crazy. Don't remember having such a mix for a long time

I'm still in shock!   I have signed and voiced my opinion. Managed to keep it to one sentence too which is unusual for me
Wendy, she probably only bites if she's scared or frightened (or are they the same thing?). Sounds like she has a lovely home with you full of love and cuddles. That's all most pets want ~ apart from some food and drink of course
I had a lovely day yesterday. Went to Tee's with my sister (Jo) and met her mum who's really lovely  Jo and I had a lovely lunch at a farm shop, then went to a craft shop. I got a heap of Bazzill card and Jo got ideas for her wedding invitations. She saw something and has asked me to have a go at cutting/folding/sticking ...... and see what I come up with using what she saw as my guide. Hmmm.......... As a thanks (in advance) she bought a tub of flake ice-cream and some spoons and we sat in a car park at a nature place eating it with the sun beaming in the car - yummy!!!

Vicki, credit card scams are getting all too common, but at least you're not out of pocket - you have to be really careful these days. DG had his card scammed last year, the first he knew was when the bank rang to check on a couple of transactions that didn't seem right. Luckily he didn't lose out either!
Sarah, love the LO, I really enjoyed this week's challenge, and looks like you did too! What alphabets did you use for the title?
Amanda, can't remember the exact date of our next challenge, but I know it's shortly after the next Ally Pally show.:)
I only just managed to get on the computer, DH has brought home and installed Office 2000, it took ages to load and then took even more time installing the updates! Word is completely different to what I'm used to, off to have a play in a minute to see if I can get my head around it!

i had a nice night wasnt too cold but my shoes cut my feet up pretty bad- i only ever wear flat shoes so thats why
last night made me grateful for what i had there were so many 'scanky' girls dressed in next to nothing trying to 'pull' guys it was just laughable and i was glad i dont have to do that coz i have my rob- and walking home there were these 2 girls really young well 19 ish that werent from leeds had next to nowt on couldnt get home didnt have a phoen- lent one off a random person then put me on to explain to one of there boyfriends where they were- he had no idea bout leeds, then we had to direct these drucken idiots to where we had arrange to have them picked up.
safe to say we were glad we knew where we were and had our pizza and a nice warm bed to snuggle into :)

hiyas all
well it turned into quite a hectic day. we went to 2 garden centres then came home & i decided as the weather had turned really nice , to wash the car. Was going to do it anyway but got up this am & though maybe not when i saw the sky. hubby was mowing the lawn ( & next doors too) whilst i did that. After that i cleaned the back door (inside) then scrubbed the bathroom & polished the bedrooms. Needless to say i am exhausted now but good news is i feel abit better atm!

Glad to hear you're feeling better Amanda!
Rachel, I see young girls like that in sleepy St Neots on a Friday or Saturday night, and it's scary, they put themselves at so much risk. :(

Glad to hear you're feeling better Amanda.
What a near miss Wendy. Hope yuor thumb feels better soon.
Rachel, I used to see girls dressed and acting like that all the time when I worked in the taxi office. It was in the centre of town and was crazy. The driver's (mostly male) used to call me over the radio telling me when there some that were dressed even worse. You were so good to help those girls, but I bet they didn't remember it today

Morning all
Rachel, i hate seeing girls like that out & about. I was never like that when i didn't have anyone & couldn't see the attraction of making myself so vulnerable. But it is so scary , as they just don't see the dangers themselves at all & what can happen to them if they are not careful. Frightening.
Well i did this (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=157906&cat=500) lo yesterday. Its a challenge at the other forum i am in . I have 1 more little lo to do from the Tiger Santuary to finish off today aswell.
Nothing to do today, just walk & post a couple of letters. so out 10 mins max. suits me with the weather today!!
hope your thumb feels better Wendy! OUCH!!

I will post the pics of the orbs on my photo blog once they're downloaded off my camera, but I'm certainly gonna make a LO or two from the night as it was so much fun. ALso have some pics to scrap of me and Ali in our chipping uniform taken by FIL. I'm hoping I might get the chance to do some today but I'm out at 1.30 to assess a female Collie who's having real aggression probs while in kennels. Should be fun:wacko::mellow::blink::nono:

Great LOs Amanda!
I won't get any scrapping done, as I have a load of notes to get typed up still. I'm going to have a look at the weekly challenge first though, so I can start to think about it.

Sorry I been a bit quiet..been crazy around here with packing and such, took mum to see the village of Kersey as its a place we love to go and walk around, she loved it and took lots of photo's. I will be adding some to my photo blog as soon as I am finished here. I have a drs appt this morning to my bloods to be taken and to have my blood pressure re checked, then I am off to the post office to post 3 parcels, and put in our change of address, then I am going to have a cuppa with my mate and hopefully chill for a little while with her. Then back home to do the ironing so I can pack those clothes. DH and I went through our chest of drawers and wardrobes last night and ended up with 4 black bin bags full of clothing to get rid of...and no we aren't walking around naked :o
Hope everyone is well and I shall be back later..don't forget to have a peek at my photo blog in awhile to check out the new photos :)

Morning all.
Tee, glad you had a good day yesterday. I'm assuming it wasn't just your mum who did  What a busy day you've got planned today. You'll be needing that coffee to unwind. Good luck at the docs. I'll go and check your blog in a bit :D So glad to hear you and DH still have some clothes left ;)
I'm getting my hair cut today and having a cuddle with my baby nephew (well, it's his mum cutting my hair!). I've been busy winding ribbons onto dolly pegs. I need some more pegs though. Must remember to get them when I'm out. Best get loads cos I'm a ribbon-a-holic
Hope you all have a great day :D

Thanks ladies. Hope everyone has had a good day so far.
Maddie, have you've cooled down now?
I had a lovely cuddle with Kieran before having my hair cut. He's growing so fast. I'm off to do a little scrapping before I have to go and get David from work. Have to stick to my end of the deal if I want to borrow the car again

Guess that was a bit more interesting though Amanda. Nothing like a shower to unwind and cool down.
I've had a good day, successful rehoming of the little Yorkie and also the homecheck for our Collie X was passed and she's off home next Wednesday. Really pleased and I shold now have a couple of hours scrap time before DH gets home. The house needs work doing but I'm home all day 2morrow, so it'll keep :D
