So here it is, Rudolph day again!

Join in on Jue Jue's fab challenge idea as we try to make a few Christmas cards on the 25th of each month and avoid all that stress come December!

And just think, if you make just 5 cards per month, that's 55 cards made before we even get to December!

OK Rudolph-ers! Go drag out that Christmas stash again and post your cards to this thread! :D

Well good morning everyone here we are again i will try and do some of mine later and then i will have to make the rest on Thursday as im out all day tomorrow and the farmers market just wanted to wish everyone good luck on getting there 5 cards done

I've managed to make two so far, both with images from Pink Petticoat. I made them last night, it felt so strange to be making Christmas cards on Easter Monday lol!

Is this what they call hybrid? How does it work, do you pay for the image then just print onto white card? If so, do you watercolour or does that make the lines smudge?

Debbie, I'm not exactly sure what hybrid is, I 'think' it's a mix of digital products and normal cardmaking stash, but hopefully someone will put us right! As for the images I used on the two Christmas cards, yes they are purchased graphics from Pink Petticoat. I don't know if I am allowed to post the link, but if you Google the name it will come up. You pay and download tthe graphics then print them to colour in. I believe there is a fixing spray made by Ghiant that you can use to stop your printing ink smudging when watercolouring. I discovered a fabby printer, a cheapo Espson one - I use it to print my Pink Petticoat images as the ink is waterproof and I can watercolour without any smudging.

Mind you, I do love my rubber stamps too!

I've got an epson - is all their ink waterproof?
I have looked at the PP website before & they have some gorgeous images, might pop over for a browse

Debbie, I have an Epson Stylus D92 which takes the Epson TO711 DURABright ink cartridges - I set it to use the black cartridge only and it definitely is waterproof. There is more info about the DURABright inks on the Epson website.

I usually two pieces of ribbon together like you would shoelaces (but in a knot) or attach a length of ribbon and tie a second length of ribbon around it.

Here I attached one piece of ribbon, took a second piece tied it in a knot and then used a sticky dot to attach it onto the top of the first piece. The most simple way.

I did it this way because it was puckering where I had attached it if I tied the ribbon around the first piece. It also meant I could direct my ends 'artfully' over the white square.

I like the idea for making christmas cards every month. There are some lovely cards on here. I think I will have to have a go in April but as the 25th is a Friday I would have to wait for the weekend.

I'm doing mine on Sunday as Rudolph day clashes with the cybercrop. I have already stamped and coloured in some images ready.

I am so behind now, my computer crashed Friday and with it my mojo was zapped. New system arriving on the first day of the cyber crop, so looks like I won't be doing much playing! :lol:

I will be trying to retrieve all the data that was salvaged from my old PC and look for what's missing... likely a lot of fonts have gone and brushes... loads really. :(

I've uploaded mine a day early as I have my daughter arriving tomorrow for a crafty weekend and I must tidy up a bit first and get some shopping done too!
I'm really chuffed with myself this month, I've managed to make TEN Christmas cards... woohoo! OK, so there are two sets of 'four the same' cards in that total, but my Christmas box is filling up nicely!
