Caz, is the stamp club still available to order? And what are my chances with Paypal?

maddiejane
16-03-2008, 02:02 PM
Fae you can only pay with credit card i think . i didn't see an option for paypal anyway.

Thanks Caz, i;m excited now about this. I don't normally bother with clubs or kits type things so this is a first.

CraftyCaz

I am still trying to decide whether to order....will they be new stamps not available separately??

:( Oh well, means I can't get them. Seeing as I bought an Expression yesterday probably just as well!

thanks for the comments guys. Fae, you can pay by Visa Debit card although your bank will charge you £1.50 for the pleasure. You can still order spring kit as it's not been released yet, judging by past kits it will be stuff not yet released and only after it has been will some of the images then be sold seperately. HTH

16-03-2008, 02:48 PM
The stamp club stamps cost about £ 25 with postage

Yes, you can buy them separately afterwards, but they will be more expensive

We don't know when they ship.... it's Magnolia, we never know anything :lol:

Stay away from paypal with them. Stick to credit card.

I think I've answered everything :D

maddiejane
16-03-2008, 02:49 PM
thanks Isa for that. i was wondering what happens about shipping because i only paid just over £22 & wasn't sure if there should have been shipping on top.
Thanks for answering all those questions for this dunce anyway :P

last time I ordered a stamp club, I got charged £24.99 on my CC, all included. Then it depends on the conversion... the krone must have changed since last october :D

Georgeous Bryn, how do you colour yours?

I'm still practising, so far I've used watercolours, watercolour pencils, sakura glitter pens (like a watercolour) and my H20s. My latest practice had nearly all of them on it to get the colours! Problem is, they don't look anywhere as good as yours. I think I need more practice.

Thanks. I use Prismacolors and Sansodor to colour. The ribbon blossom is not my idea, 4Hounds off SCS has done a tutorial for it here (http://indigostudio-4hounds.blogspot.com/2008/01/happy-new-year-and-ribbon-blossom.html) and compared to her blossoms mine are totally pants

I have ordered a few stamps in the past directly from Magnolia on two or three occasions and (touch a big piece of wood) have never had any probs. Stunning cards as usual and it's lovely to see some stamps making an appearance on layouts too.

And I really like the way you have put one behind the other on your card Kim - good idea!

Here's my latest offering - it's taken me longer to scan the wretched thing than to make it and it's still wonky! For some reason my scanner and I are not getting on at all well at the moment - it's set to join the computer on a scrap heap in the garden if it doesn't pull it's act together!

I had also already had a "Sweetie" bracelet and charm, the set of H&S Stamps and a Momiji doll from Georgia.

Happy Birthday Caz, sounds like you've had a nice day.

Very jealous (in a nice way) of the H&S stamps - I love them and would love to find somewhere that sold to the UK. You must stamp and show which ones you've got.

Haven't done much stamping today cos I have just bought a BIA and it's keeping me busy tonight but as I am crafting with the kids tomorrow then no doubt the stamps will be out.

Hope you all have a good easter (those that celebrate) otherwise have a good long weekend.

Lovely card, where did you get the sentiment stamp? I really want some lol

Thank you - the sentiment is actually two separate Woodware (francois read I think) stamps bent round into a circle (thank you for the idea whoever it was on here!). It worked quite well I think.

and lovely cards everyone! I have completely given up buying card magazines anymore (except Quick Cards which is still on subscription but I won't renew) as there is so much inspiration on here I don't need them!

Hi,

I've just coloured in my very first magnolia. I bought some stamped images on the auction site to see if I would get on with them before I committed myself to buying stamps. I've never made a card before and have only just started using stamps. I have never used watercolour pencils before either( lots of firsts today) and have used a set of 24 ergosoft Staedtler aquarell pencils that I found in DDs old bedroom.

I would really appreciate any honest comments on my effort, especially about technique eg Have I been too heavy handed? Is she holding the strings of her bonnet, or is it a skipping rope that needs to be drawn in? How do you get a decent skin tone?

There is a sky and grass background but it doesn't seemed to have scanned very well.

Well I think it's lovely and wouldn't have known it was your first time!! Everyone has their own styles regarding colouring in the stamps and you will change the way you do it as you progress - that's normal, but well done for all the firsts.

Kirsty,
Copics are Copic markers, very expensive colouring pens  they're alcohol based so they blend very well and you can layer the ink without it making the paper soggy. Primarily they're used for people that do the Manga cartoons.

Hi Nicky *Waves*

How did you do the matting on your cards? Did you just hand-cut them or were they from a cuttlebug or something?

Hi Kev! The top wavy one is a sizzix die and the other curvy one is a nestabilities die. Maddie-my easel is from IKEA

Thanks Nicky. I didn't mean the curvy ones... I was mainly talking about the ones like in the second and third cards.

I hand cut (use a paper trimmer) and use a corner rounder (punch) to get that effect

More lovely cards ladies:wub:

I finally got time to share my cards with you. I made a few all at once and left them blank to add a message on when I need them. The scene one isn't the best but it's something I'd like to get better at. So if anyone has done any & has advice, it would be welcome:)

Sorry they aren't really big enough to see clearly but not sure how to enlarge them?

Sorry Denise, yes it is stickles on the wings. I think stickles are the best thing ever for their wings:) How could you bear to part with any stickles?
