Just to repeat my earlier idea.....
Would it be possible to post the dimensions of all the cj's...?? That way we could be getting on with the LO's even if we don't have the actual cj yet - it might help us catch up??

Have just done mornings this week..... so not too much planning etc.. and no other 'added' xtras just yet.
Still feeling a bit emotional and nervous - but am pleased to be back.
mrsladybabe
06-03-2008, 05:17 PM
All the stuff is kept at home - she takes it round with her to crops etc.... but no 'real shop' just the online one. You could always come and pick stuff up instead of paying or postage.

Yes she is feeling very sorry for herself too!, and she was ment to be going to Bristol on sunday to start her training for Nat west, so that's been put off for a couple of weeks, yes she has a boyfriend (same one for over 4 years), have tried to keep him away but he misses her, LOL

of course - the more the merrier!
Its £3 - tea and cake provided.... no classes, just crop and chat! Katie will probably be there - but if you want anything in part you will have to let her know before hand as she doesn't bring it all to the evening crops.

I wondered whether a stash swap might be a good idea for the retreat......?? However, I know with people coming from all over lugage could be an issue??
mrsladybabe
06-03-2008, 05:50 PM
Or maybe we could make another kit up between us....??
One person bring paper, another c/stock, another flowers, brads, ribbons, etc.... if we agreed colours first, that might work...?? Either out of our own stash, or magpied stuff, or just a couple of pound spent, doesn't have to be much
What do you think??

06-03-2008, 09:04 PM
Yup I did post mine ultra early - sorry if this caused problems. I will do the next one as quick as possible and then ask what I should do with it before I post!
I'm bringing a little something on the retreat with me for us all to have a little challenge - is everyone up for it?? It'll be fun and you'll be making something for someone else.....want to play???
I could put some stuff towards a kit, I've got plenty lying around. Can't spend any more money, but can use up some of my stuff. Happy to put some papers in - as long as each kit can be a bit different but the same colour scheme/range

Not a criticism Karen, I wish I could pull my finger out and get them done as quickly. I will try to get Flights of Fancy done and posted next week and then do the others as quickly as I can when I get them.
It's nice to see lots of chat on here again, I'm happy to join in with the Kit/stash idea BTW.
Glad you are feeling a bit better MrsLB and it's good that you can ease your way back to work.

Thanks Angie, she loves food so that's been the worst for her, it took her 25 minutes to try and suck a sandwich LOL!
She put a scarf round her chin and head to releive the pain and she wont let me take a picture to scrapbook how inconsiderate is she! (i have given her lots of cuddles and sympathy really).
Anyone got anything planned for the weekend?
picked up cj from po today thanks Angie.

Hello All. nice to see lots of caht.
So sorry to hear about Steph Mandie, hope she soon feels beter. Not being able to enjoy your food is a torment surely!
Grace was ill earlier this week with Slapped Face Fever. I was worried sick as she had a small red mark on her cheek that got bigger really quickly. In 10 mins her whole cheek was bright red with like white blisters. i took her to the Drs where I was left waiting for over an hour! I complained after 30 mins as I didn`t know if it was catching. Anyway it`s nothing to worry about. It went off but keeps coming back every now and then. Bless her she had it all over her arm, cheeks, neck and even her little bottom!
Sorry to hear about your injury Jen, take it easy. The challenge fro the retreat sounds good. Count me in.
BTW thanks for the kind comments on my resent Lo`s everyone. It means alot to hear your thoughts.

Angie, CJ finished will post on MOnday, tried to make the post office today but got caught in the building of Steph's new wardrobe, I've never seen so many bits of wood and screws, still it looks nice now and her room is very tidy for once! (maybe cause half her stuff is still in my room) LOL

Had a great weekend. Crop saturday, small scrapbooking fair yesterday. Managed two lo's at the crop & I also had a lesson in howto crochet, this I am finding very difficult.
Nearly a full week at work this week, tired at the thought already.

Crikey Jen - it all sounds very exciting - dont worry about the CJ - TBH Im just trying to keep on top of all my crafty projects.
I have been learning a new mantra this year which is... "Thank you very much for asking me but Im afraid I cant take part - I seem to be a little over committed right now" Do you like it?!!LOL
Went to Woolies today to get my Easter Eggs - they didnt have very many left - goodness knows what it will be like next weekend?!
Anyway. Im trying not to let anyone down so I do them as soon as I can in the hope that I will not run out of time!

Hello everyone, well it`s been quite on here. Although everyone seems to have been busy which is good. I do enjoy checking out all your LO`s.
My parents have Grace this weekend so we have been busy getting jobs done. Now that they are all finsihed I am going to do some scrapping. It was my birthday in the week so I had some money to spend. yesturday I went to a craft shop I`d never been to before and bought lots of goodies. They are all out on the didning room table just calling to me!

Oh Elizabeth I am so sorry I missed your birthday - many happy belated returns x glad you had a nice weekend
Angie I am going to say no thanks to the kits at the moment - I am just drowing under paper and stash that I havent used so I am going to be good (Will not last long!!)
Tricia your baby book looks cute, is that a cuttlebug folder that you used? It looks great x
Been out for lunch today and to the cinema and saw The Other Boleyn Girl - it was really good - I did Tudors and Stuarts for A Level history so geekily enough I quite enjoy stories from this period of history. I also watched Borat this evening which is completely the other end of the scale!!
Hope everyone had a nice weekend x

Elizcabeth.....I am really sorry that I missed your birthday. Stupidly, I didn't make a note in my diary of everyones birthday and I have lost the list. I'm glad that you had a nice time anyway and you must bring some of that new stash to the retreat.
I went to Scrap Revolution's crop last Sunday and one at Datchworth yesterday. I have done a LO with buttons but obviously it wasn't in time for the blog, I'll try to photograph and upload it this week.
I can't remember if I paid £80 or £85 into Jens account. I will have check my bank statement.

Hello all, not to worry about missing my birthday everyone leads such busy lives I understand. Thanks for the belated wishes.
Sorry to hear you are unhappy at work Mandie, have a good nights sleep then you might feel a bit brighter. Thinking of you.
I managed to get a LO done at the weekend, I have others planned. I haven`t photographed it yet but will tomorrow to upload it.
Glad you enjoyed the cinema Karen, my sister also covered that era of history and loves anything to do with the Tudors.
Well our retreat is not far away now. I have never been to a crop before and I suppose this retreat is kind of like a crop. What will we be doing? I know it sounds like a silly question but are we all bringing photographs we want to scrap on our own or are we planning to do group projects? Also how can anyone decide what to take stash wise? I think of all my paper and wouldn`t know what to leave behind!
jack scrap
18-03-2008, 11:42 PM
I find it very difficult Elizabeth as I always want to take everything. However, that obviously isn't going to be possible because of the travel.
Something you can do is to choose which photographs you want to scrap and then make up a 'kit' for each layout. Put into a poly bag the paper and cardstock and then any embellishments you think you might want to use.
Anyone else got any ideas and tips?
I don't know what the kits involve. Should we bring any particular photo's Angie?
Perhaps we can start to make a list of who is bringing which tools. I can do this if you like Angie.
hey - i've figured out that if i take my cricut out of it's tote it'll fit very nicely into my overnightbag and i can carry it on - apart from that i'm going to take v=basic tools like eyelet setter, scissors, glues etc and will see what else i can cram in
will be trying to be as clever in my packing as poss
I wasn't planning on travelling too light - but I'll have hockey training on the Friday night, so will have to bring all my stuff with me :( That means I'm going to struggle to even fit clothes in my car!!!
Elizabeth - I tend to make up some little kits with matching stuff in and then I have some different choices when I want to scrap something.
I will be bringing my laptop and camera though, as I'm planning on taking some day trips out to see stuff (not sure what's nearby but I'm sure there's something) I don't know what else is planned, but I'm pretty sure I can't scrap for a week, I'm just not that creative.

I am hoping to bring to the retreat a wedding album project to continue with and maybe a few xtra pic's that I might want to use for the team kits/projects.... I am also hoping to get some good shots of us all together and individually :)
I will be bringing my Expression and I can also bring my QK Squeeze if people think it would be useful....??
Have only just got in after a very bust day, inc. a crop this evening - so am off to bed now. Thanks for the pm Elizabeth - will reply in the next couple of days xx
Ani - 2 cj's will be on there ways to you tomorrow.... (I've inc a little stash parcel, by way of peacemaking :) - sorry I've been so crap...)
I missed your birthday too Elizabeth, sorry. Would put a little sad face here but for some reasen mine don't work.
Mrslb don't be silly, I will look out for them. I wasn't off work as long as you and I am still finding it very tiring, so don't over do it, look after yourself. Will let you know when the journals arrive.
I am very envious of all the retreat talk, I have the gogo one in june, and a small crop I go to locally are planning a weekend one for sept so I am not left out but still 5 days! Hope you lot make the best of it.
better go. going to be late again
Canterbury - cool...does anyone want to go on a day trip? :)
Does anyone want me to bring my printer? I was thinking of it - mainly because I never have the photos I want in the size I want no matter how hard I try and plan. My laptop and printer can read most kinds of memory card, so anyone who brings a camera could use them.
I also have a tag-a-long and 3 alphabets.......
and that's it - I don't really have any fancy kit.
MrsLB - take it slowly :) Glad you're back at work, just take it easy and don't tire yourself out....you've got a retreat in a few weeks!!

Mandie sorry you had a bad week - here is a good bit of advice I got two weeks ago - dont do anything rash - you will regret it! It was good advice and hope it works for you!!
Dad took me shopping today - got the very nice Vanessa at papermaze to open up just for me - wa hey! Spent too much though!!
Lots of scrappong for me tonight to justify the spend!! What was that about me drowing in stash and I still went out and got more! Got some new BG stuff as it has flamingoes and dinosaurs on it and really got a bit carried away with that! I am so determined to make some cards wioth it though!

I am loving the sound of a few day trips, we can`t go all that way and not explore. Plus it will be a good oppourunity to get some group shots of us to scrap. Shopping could be squeezed into it somehow!
I think it`s a great idea to kind of make a kit up for each LO I want to scrap. I don`t really have any fancy kit either, just lots of paper and stickers and bits and bobs. I am a magpie so save everything. If you could bring your printer Jen it would come in handy but see how you are for space first. Oh I am so excited about it and can`t wait...an adventure! Shame some of our mambers can`t come but we are all going to be together in spirit I`m sure. Thats the kind of group we are.

Evening all :)
Very tired tonight - think the week is catching up with me.... Need to rest a bit tomorrow as I have a wedding to go to on Saturday!
Jen - YES! please do bring your printer... I have that problem a lot to!! Plus, as you say - any pic's we take that week can be printed out, copied and shared straight away :D I have some photo paper, so I'll bring that with me.
Maybe if everyone brought a blank cd with them - they could save copies of any photos they want to take home with them....??

A day trip sounds great - and we can easily car pool. I was trying to find out about local scrap stores, so will have another look....
We can't get into the cottage before 4pm on Monday - I would suggest that Wed would be best for a day trip.... that would break the week up nicely, with a day of scrapping either side. As we also have 2 class/kits to do we could do one of those either side too :D
We have to be out of the cottage by 10am on friday morning - leaving it neat and tidy as we found it, so will probably need to do most of the packing thurs evening.
mrsladybabe
20-03-2008, 10:43 PM
Angie and I are happy to cook the evening meals (as long as someone else washes up/does the dishwasher...) If anyone else wants to be in charge of breakfasts or lunches, make yourself known!
I think the cottage has interent access - will check
I have a CD writer, so copying photos will be no problem. The ink cartridge is pretty new so should have plenty, but I don't have a lot of photo paper though, so donations are welcome!
I was going to sort out stash tonight but I just couldn't get in the mood....there's so much of it I just don't know what to pack! I'm going to be terrible at picking the right stuff to take!!
Was wondering if people were up for swapping stuff the didn't want? I have some papers and random things from swaps that I probably won't use, but someone else might? I thought maybe we could just bring stuff we didn't want, put it on a table and if someone else wanted to use it, then they could....what do you think???
I have sorted out the things for my challenge though....I did that ages ago, got a little excited. Still have to order something though......
Elizabeth - my kits aren't fancy either! Just paper, card, ribbons and lots of flowers (I got carried away in a sale!)
Karen - I am jealous of your little shopping spree! I've been very restrained lately, but I don't think I would have been if I'd had the whole shop to myself...you lucky thing!!
MrsLB - go rest yourself! You have a wedding to enjoy :)
Mandie - you're always welcome in my little car - who knows, if the weather is nice, maybe I'll just cruise around with the roof down :)
Oh - I'm rubbish at cooking - seriously, I'll poison you all......

A day trip to Canterbury sounds wonderful, however if you want to get any pics of me you had better bring your wide angle lenses with you
MrsLB it's great that you are back at work and you are bound to feel tired. I don't work but I still get tired.
I went for an interview today with Kaliko clothing who have a new concession in a local shop and they phoned me this afternoon to offer me the job. It's just twelve hours a week but it's a start.
Karen, I love Papermaze, although I have never visited the shop...probably just as well. I did receive an order from them this morning though, I should not buy any more paper but I could not resist the new Fancy Pants About a Boy papers and rub ons.:)
I have a Bind it All, if anyone is interested in having a play I could bring it along.
Jacqui - well done on the job :) It's a great way to get back into work, I bet you'll have loads of fun.
MrsLB - sorry, I missed you. I was drinking pink wine and leaving half drunk messages on facebook for people to find in the morning! Oh my head is going to hurt tomorrow!!

Hi
Hope everyone having a great Easter. :)
Not long to retreat, hasnt it sneaked up so quickly. I havent got a clue what to bring with me, I have only booked one bag on my flight, so probably wont be bringing too much..........probably just my calico kit and few other bits and bobs. Kits I'm hoping will be posted to MrsLB, so dont have to bring them too.
Great news about job Jacqui.
Mandie {{hugs}} about your job.
I've been playing with some new papers from Scrummy Stash Cafe, the new kit is fab, lots of yummy stuff and a mixature of ranges. Hello All, Did anyone else get LOADS of Snow today? Wow it was great to wake up and look out to see a wintery wonderland. Got some pics really early before it had been disturbed. Andy would have loved to try out his snowboard but unfortunately Andy`s mum couldnt look after Grace until after lunch, by that time it had started to melt....there didn`t seem much point.:(:(
Congrats on the job Jaqui I`m sure you`ll really enjoy the chalenge and getting out is really a good boost.
All the plans for the retreat sound good, got a cd Jen and will bring some photo paper. Wouldn`t mind having a go on a bind it all if it`s not too much to bring:D
I don`t mind doing some cooking, I`m sure we`ll get along fine. What about doing a big shop? We`ll have to make sure we have everyones favs in.
Grace hasn`t been too good the last few days, she`s teething again and is really suffering. Thankfuly she is sleeping ok at night but trying to get her to nap during the day is becoming really hard, she knows she`s tired I know she`s tired but she fights it for ages...like 40 mins the goes off for half an hour!
How did the wedding go MrsLB?

I think I need to use stronger glue as they pulled off my flower and repositioned it and they moved one of my buttons! If you compare big piccy to little you will see what I mean!! A lesson to be learnt - use Diamond Glaze!!!! It was a bit freaky as I know Lisa really really well, we sit together at crops!!!

Had a mad wk, my first full week back - I'm knakered.
Weather is miserable here today - so spent some time scrapping instead, have done 2 LO's so far and am now planning another 2!
I've registered for the cybercrop - I'm a Drama Queen (Angie - say nothing!) Anyone else registered yet??
Nearly retreat time - am getting excited! They've sent me a map through for finding the cottage, so will try and get it scanned before the end of the week and emailed to you all. xx

My first week at work was ok but I feel so unconfident, more so than I realised but I'm sure I'll soon get back into the swing of things.
I'm going to a crop tomorrow which I am really looking forward to. Matthew has been on school holidays since Good Friday and doesn't go back until Tuesday, as much as I love him it will be nice to have some time to myself.

Hello all. So sorry to hear your sad news Mandie, loosing a pet is heartbreaking my heart goes out to you and your family. Just think of the precious memories you have.
Loved the Lo`s in the mag girls, saw what you meant about them changing your flower Karen, the put it over the little girls face in the picture! Paticia threw me too but I recognised the Lo for your gallery!
Well I`m very excited about our retreat! I got us a load of face masks today for our pampering evening. I also spent a few hours at the weekend printing off pictures and organising Lo`s I want to scrap whilst I`m on the retreat. Andy asked "Isn`t that what you are suppose to be doing next week?" I told him it was preperation! He`s got a week of walking up mountains in the Lake District planned!
very quiet, bet you're all rumaging in your stash & packing

Yes - I started my packing for the retreat last night! Rob is also off work with me this week, so have been spending time with him. We took our niece to an indoor play centre yetserday.... this morning my knees are covered in bruises and v. painful  didn't get me out of doing the gardening this morning though! Our back garden was beginning to look like a jungle, so we've cut everything back this morning (probably will all die now) - only thing is we've now got about 4 trips to the tip to do.

I did a lovely lo yesterday, i started to have a clear out, but ended up finding some old paper that i thought fitted a photo i wanted to scrap, so stopped clearing and did a lo instead.
I havent uploaded any lo for ages, so may try to get a few on here.
Have a good day you two, maybe catch you tonight?
To the retreaters............ have a lovley day!

BTW who had the most points for March, so i could send a prize.?????
no idea on the points, my kits arrived from Angie today, don't think I will find time to play with them though this week ( although I am well chuffed with both of them, thanks for organising Angie)
Bet they went to bed really late last night, probably already gone to bed tonight.
I have got the day off tomorrow, going to go over to mums, take my silohette? and we are going to compare with her robo, I am hoping she is going to give me lots of tips, my software seems to have bits hers dosn't and vice versa.

Hi - it definately wasnt me with the points, I mostly made lots of cards!
Enjoy your day off Ani. I thought the Silhouette was like the Robo but just a different name, would be interested to know what the actual differences are. Hope you week flies by!
Hey Mandie, let us know when your LO is up. I am very much into using some of my older paper at the mo - think it eases the guilt!!
Hey to all the happy crafters - hope you are having fun NOT being at work x

Hello All, well I haven`t been as organised on uploading my work from our retreat. I have just finsihed the Favourite Things mini book I made for Grace. I just need a good photo of her for the front then it`s done. I`m really pleased with it. Like Tricia said it was nice to have time to work on LO`s on the retreat rather than rushing. Everyone had such great stash.
Not only have I bought the expresssion....naughty but true (Andy said he`d give me some money towards it.. I`m hopeful that means half:lol:) but we went to the Range at the weekend and I got more stuff. A making Memories paper trimmer like yours Jacqui (it was £39 which I thought wasn`t too bad) I also got a making memories eyelet setter and a papermania tote to store all my bits. I spent way too much.
You know Andy got a new sleeping bag...well he told me how much it was when I got back ....over £100! So he can`t pick on me!
It was wonderful seeing Grace again, she held her arms out to me straight away and gave both of us a beaming smile. She has another tooth through at the top bless her.

Photos are great girlies, Jen - nice lens!!!
Mrs LB you are very photogenic and I am most jealous! x
don't worry bout the photos jen - i've plenty to be getting on with and if i make it to MLB this week i may be able to copy hers over
some evil person has hacked into my email and ebay account so i'm waiting for that to get fixed at the mo and my laptop got some juice on it - it never rains but it pours - desperate to get some pics printed out
loving your spending spree Liz - good on you - i've spotted some crops around the hull area if you want me to forward them on to you.

Hello all.
Just popped on to say a BIG thank you to Jacqui and Tricia for sending me the wonderful box of goodies from your trip to scrap revolution. I can`t wait to use them. You shouldn`t have........but I`m glad you did:D Also thanks Jacqui for the copies of that project from your mag. I have been looking around for some 8 x 8 albums already.
I took a good picture of Gracethis morning that I intend to use for the front cover of my mini book. Once it`s done I`ll upload to show you all. tricia how do I display lots of photos of the mini book in the gallery? I know you did it on one of your books. If anyone can help I`d be grateful but you may need to explain it twice as I`m not that great with computers.:( Sorry to hear about your trouble with ebay hope it gets sorted soon.

hiya hunnies!!
2 entrants are not in the poll, The LO's weren't linked here and when i made the poll i went through here{the common room}:( (I did post last month to remind everyone to link here because some were nearly missed last month.)
there's 31 votes already counted so am not sure if it's feasible(sp) to shut the poll and re start it with the 2 entries that aren't included, however it seems a shame that the hard will go to waste... also the time taken to do the challenge.
what does everyone think?? shall i close the poll and do a new one or shall I just leave the poll up as it is??
Please try and post your answer in the Common Room ASAP
I'll post this in the bradette team threads too incase anyone misses it!

Hello All.
My cricuit arrived yesturday....wow I`m so please with it! Although I didn`t realise the guy was getting it from USA. I have a travel adaptor for it, don`t know how the warrenty works now. Not too pleased about that part of it to be honest as I could have got it cheaper if I had got it from the us myself but hay ho. Enjoyed playing with it last night and finally finsihed my mini book. Only problem I want to get other cartriges for it but i really shouldn`t spend any more.
Thanks for the offer of help MrsLB if we are ever online at the same time it would be a help if you could talk me through that.:D
Andy and I took the old sofa and cahir out today, he cut them up rammed them in my car and took them to the tip. He had planned on geting the wood out of them for the fire but realised how much work that would be. The new sofa is coming tomoorw sometimes....we hope! We just have cusions on the floor for now.
