Wouldn't waste my money on it hun!
Precious little scrapbooking there (its still mostly needlework) and when you add the entry fee to the cost of getting there its an expensive mistake!
I went last year and the cost of getting there and getting in was the best part of £30 - before I spent anything when i got inside.
Look at what it would cost you to get there - then go on a spending spree at Banana Frog who were the only "scrapbooking" stall there!

Thanks Carolyn. Unfortunately I have already 'paid up' to go by coach. I have heard a lot of people talk about Banana Frog. What kind of things do they do that are particularly good?

Banana Frog are one of the best sponsors on here - check out this month's challenge on the front page and follow the link to their shop. They do their own lovely stamps and other scrummy bits like the bejeweler and crystals and unusual papers....

We had a stand at the show last year, but are not going this year. I think it is an okay show if you are into both papercraft and stitching/knitting, but if you are one or the other not all of the stands will appeal. From our point of view, it is too close to Ally Pally for it to be an asset for us to be there. Sorry not to be more positive about it :(

I understand Vicki. That is one thing I don't understand - why are Excel, Olympia and Ally Pally all within a month and a half of each other???

Thanks Carolyn. Sounds like I should definitely have a look at Banana Frog.

Excel and Olympia are general shows - Ally Pally is more specialised
Olympia has been running for 12 years and started off as "The Needlecraft Fair", and is now run by Twisted Thread who also happen to do the the big Ally Pally and Harrogate (and Dublin) Knitting and Stitching Shows.
Last year - all of the downstairs was needlecraft as well as quite a bit upstairs - all the other crafts were upstairs - sorry Vikki - I did see you there - but you and BF were the only real "scrapbooking" stands in evidence out of over 100.

Hi, Craft Superstore will have a stand at the Olympia show and we'll be stocking lots of Scrapbooking brands including K & Co. and 7 Gypsies. We'll also be demoing the Bind It All Machines and Cuttlebugs so please feel free to come and say hello!
Thanks,

Thanks for solving the mystery Carolyn. I knew there had to be some logical reason for it being that way. It had been puzzling me for ages!

Sorry to say but Banana Frog won't be at Olympia-I have already asked as I want some of their new stamps and wondered if I could see them in the 'flesh' .
I quite enjoyed it last time I went, not too over powering and full on with the scrapbooking stuff. Went with the Mother, she is a stitcher :)
Try searching under Twisted Thread-think I saw a list, but not 100 % :)

I am so pleased to read your email fiona. We are exhibiting for the first time and were getting rather worried from some of the comments!
Marion I have booked a last minute stand and they could not provide me with a list of exhibitors - the Twisted Thread website is being re-designed, so if you find out I would be interested.
Thanks
