I've had that mesh stuff for a while.. no idea where I bought it from but I think it is called sinamay? Maybe a post in the Shop till you Drop forum will help you locate some. It's a bit tricky to work with as it's a bit brittle and impossible to stick down on the front of a card - so I cut it slightly longer and used double sided tape at the back of the paper, then used two brads to stop it sliding about! I've also used it on cards for gardening friends, tied in place with raffia it looks quite good!

The scalloped edges on that card were just cut with a pair of scissors with a scallop blade. They are only cheap ones, I think I only paid about £1.99 for them at the big H'craft store.

I am kind of new to UKS although been crafting for years, fallen in love with the Sugar Nellie range, especially Nellie herself, currently stamping and colouring Nellie with flower basket as I type. Can I show my ignorance by asking what an image swap is?

It is where you would stamp 2 images of 1 stamp on a5 paper x 10 and then send it on to person hosting swap. Another 9 people would do the same only using different stamp and then host would send you all back images and you would have all different stamped images to try out.

Hi all

Has anyone done any cards using the Knight? I thought of doing Father's Day cards with mine and perhaps putting "Dads are Heroes" on the front instead of the usual "Happy Father's Day" but just struggling to get the creativity going, have stamped and coloured the Knight and layered up the shield, just need a decent manly background now. Used metallic pencils to colour him in which makes him quite shiny. Perhaps I need to step away for a few hours and the ideas might start flowing later.

I got a flash of inspiration and used a blue checker board design for the backing paper and lots of blue and green papers on top, just assembling it now whilst I wait for all the grey hairs to dissappear from my head as if by magic, or, by the magic that is hair dye.

I have 3 new lolas, all rubber is in stock but we are using one for the challege kit and as soon as the DT at Funkykits have handed in their work we can sell those.
These are not like the Lola & Simon range which should have 20 new stamps for winter and christmas as agreed back in January with Rachelle. But as she now works only for another stamp company we will have to wait and see.
Good news is that I have one , maybe two new designers in the pipeline, :ph34r:if I said Holly Hobby I think you might have a great big clue as to where we are going, these things just take so long and now we have to wrap up the leagal stuff just hold on to our illustarators.

I have a cheeky favour to ask
The play school my daughter goes to is having a knights dragons and fairytale theme this term. I was going to suggesting printing out some dragons and fairies colouring them and sticking them on lollypop sticks to make puppets - then they could all make their own fairy tale....

So here is the favour I was wondering if anyone would be willing to stamp me 12-15 of the suger nellie knight on any old white card - which I could then use for this activity....I have fairies and dragons stamps

I do want to buy the knight stamp but am waiting for some others to come back into stock :)

I would of course be happy to refund costs. I hope you dont mind me asking in this thread....

I've had to be really good & not buy any stamps for now. having to make do with what i got in 2 recent swaps instead!!

Wish I could be so strong willed, my set of 6 arrived this morning so I jumped out of bed and hid them from hubby, then when he dissappeared I cut them down, added the sticky glue stuff to the back and left them to dry hidden in our spare room behind some boxes. No need for him to know about the new additions. Once the glue stuff has changed from sticky to it's usual tacky texture later today I will get stamping, can't wait.

Yes Caz is right, just as well I have so many girls keeping me right these days:blink: The stamps are on their way, I had hoped they would be this week but the factory is a bit slow at the mo. The three new Rachelle stamps will be available soon along with Maggies and Hamish.

I have just been using the very same flowery paper with my dressing up Maggie stamp this morning. Here is one I made through the week using a bit of left over Blonde Moments paper.

Actually I love grungy colours and I think Dexter is quite suitable for a man as well. It was the leftover scrap of crate paper that decided the colour theme.
