** January Card Challenge!! **

Happy New Year everyone!!

Hope the post-bubbly headache has worn off and you're ready to get back to business! :D

January can be a bit of a difficult month, all those resolutions we're trying to stick to including that vow to be more productive this year than we were last... Well this month's challenge can help you out, because it's all about breaking into your new stash (yes, this is a good thing honestly...).

Whatever your most recent purchases have been - share with us all by posting a card that uses them!

If at the end of the month there have been 10 or more cards posted here in this thread, then one lucky person will be chosen as a 'winner' and will receive a little goodie through the post courtesy of Julie at Scrapbooking Castle (http://scrapbookingcastle.co.uk/store/).

I have been playing today and have actually opened some "new" stash from a kit from a few months ago... In this case a bag of Mod buttons - I seem to have a lot of buttons, but only use the odd one here and there... :rolleyes:

Heres a couple I've made - had a bejeweler for christmas so am currently *jewelling* everything in sight :D. Shoe card made with stash from scrapagogo kit and used new ribbons and scraps from new basic grey paper leftover from a LO.

Gosh there's bling there Nic! Very nice! :D It's a common problem once you get a bejeweller, there's nothing left in sight that doesn't have some crystal stuck to it!

OK so all the Christmas money I got went on craft - bought some Lacquer pens - great for shimmer and glitz, also the teddy decoupage came on a new CD :nono:

The new stuff used is the tiny cupids bow and the golden heart brad.

The background paper just happened to match the champagne bottle and a bit of sparkly dots
should emphasize the fizz of the champagne.

The good thing about January is that it is a great time to pick up bargains. I bought some Anna Griffin stamps at a great price and a thank you card seemed just the thing for this time of year. I put it together with some Anna Griffin paper and simple cut out cat.

Tracy, sorry I haven't answered your question till now - I can only get online at weekends at the moment :( The image stamps are by Magnolia, the text stamps are from a See D's set I got last weekend - Celebration Messages. There's 30 stamps in the set and they are going to be very useful!

Lovely cards and bright paper - very cheering for January

I've made this for a friends dd who will be 10 tomorrow and who realy likes fairies so thought I'd introduce her to the 'rock hard fairies' which are one of my most recent buys. Cut the card on 'robbie'(xmas pressie!) used pm papers some ribbon, outline stickers and decoupaged the fairy - not sure decoupage is my thing its bloomin' fiddly!:lol: but I hope she will like it my dd thinks so.

I managed to get some time to make cards today - great to be back at it.

I used some lovely new BG 2 Scoops paper - I love it! Stickles are also new. Sorry about the photos but had to take pictures tonight as I need to post the cards in the morning ;)

I am particularly pleased with the engagement card - I dont know if it shows up but there are stickles on all the flowers and a small gem on Bella's left hand.
