One saying that still confuses me is the "back of 9" when telling the time. I think it means just gone 9 o'clock - but after 7 years up here I'm still not sure!

my mum says this! she is actually scottish and it does mean just after, anytime before half past really :)

My mum says 'back of' too, she's from Aberdeenshire :lol:

Exactly!!!!! my mum is always very very vague about things, i think it is the scot in her :lol:
