I made a kimono card a couple of weeks back for a birthday card exchange, and have spent some time since refining the template as my original seemed to have distorted when I resized it and needed a bit of hand trimming to finish it off. Getting it absolutely symmetrical has been a bit of a b****r I'm afraid.

I stamped and gold embossed Japanese style flowers back and front to decorate it and lined it on the inside centre with red and gold bamboo pattern paper.

The template was made on the Pro so needs a longer (A3 ish) carrier sheet but will fit otherwise. It just fits into a standard A5 card size envelope.

I've just uploaded a second template with a resized CUSTOM document size (8.26" x 13") as the original was made using an A3 work area which is too large for the small Robo. The template remains the same size, but should be now more accessible to everyone. But you will need to make a longer carrier sheet to use this template - or resize it to fit the A4 standard carrier. Simple geisha.
Hope someone can use it, simple but very effective if cut from loads of different coloured patterned papers.

One I did yesterday.

The cut out from the card front was coloured with watercolours and H2O's then put through the Cuttlebug and attached to the card insert.

A bit of a change for me. The file has the option of drawing your own features for the face of the doll or there is a print and cut file for the head if preferred. You can find her here (http://www.shirleyscards.co.uk/Birthday_cards%201_CR%20.html) along with a different version.

Thanks for looking

I found a video of instructions to make these at http://www.michellesrubberroom.com/ where there are a number of excellent videos on paper and card techniques. I do not have any myself at the moment, but I think they would work best on 2 sided card. The "head" can, of course, be left off if you like
