Just made this one up for my daughters birthday, Of course you don't have to have the square cut out at all and could in fact substitute the square for any shape.
Thought I had better mention that the shoe is a decoupage, (don't know if I spelled it right) and is designed by Jean.

Hi,

I don't know if this will be of any use to anyone. I am a new CR owner so am just having a play. Apologies if this has been done before.

I saw a similar card on "Create and Craft" and decided to try a version for the CR. The main card uses a sheet of A4. I have also attached a second sheet to provide the inner mat and the stripes on the front. The original A4 card can obviously be decorated in many ways.

Make sure you check that the red lines in Tools/Cutting settings/Cutting settings are set to Dashed Line.

I also switched off Track Enhancing, to save the rollers marking the card. (Track enhancing refers to the action of moving the media back and forth several times before cutting is started to stabilise the quality of the cutting and is on the final screen before cutting takes place). The pictures show the unfolded A4 sheet, the folded card as it will come out of the envelope and the completed card.

The boy and girl on the swings come from a GSD I purchased from Paperthreads.

Enjoy Adrienne

Ihave been trying so make cards that are a bit different and came up with this one, hope you like it.

Personal use only please.

Sorry forgot to say that the crease of the card is at an angle so use the point at the top as your centre !

Hope someone may find this useful. It is the first thing that i have taken from an idea to a template. I did post it in the general forum. I have added a couple of fold lines now.

Been meaning to post this for a couple of weeks thanks all that helped. It's a simple card that can be used for lots of things. Sorry it's in GRA format as I haven't got around to working out how to convert them yet.

Okay - here it is.
After, an entire day of trying to work this file out, I am going to post it.
I really had a hard time lining up the back layers. I finally ended up hand
trimming them.
Right now, I love this card and have so many people that want it - but.......
as of this moment, I never want to see it again.
I hope you pros have felt like that at times.
Maybe an expert may want to play with the back layers and get them right.
Or, maybe someone would like to tell me the easiest way to get it straight-
that is if I can manage to look at it again.
My brain just can't function in backwards mode - so trying to turn those
layers around to match the folded card was difficult.
They don't seem to be too much off.
Anyway, I think the card part is okay. I designed it in different colors so
the different images could be cut in different colors. (I know you pros
know that but maybe a newbie doesn't.)

Ok everyone, reinstalled the original software and had to do the foldback card from scratch. Let me know if it cuts alright, I've tested it and it cuts fine.

If it works then I hope to share some more templates.

This is a little card for sending small gift vouchers or similar. The file is just the basic design - how you decorate is up to your own imagination.

The squiffy prospective in the photo is down to my dodgy photography!!!!!

Hope this answers a recent request for this type of card.

Mary

PS I have mirrored the front of the card and uploaded an altered file. The original file needed to be mirrored for use with patterned card.

looks great..but then what do i do...lol

Try something like this:lol:

Mary

I have added an (undecorated) inside view of the card.

This is a modified version of a diamond shaker card, adepted from a magazine template to fit (hopefully !) on a CR carrier sheet, for Elizabeth Ann.

It is untested so I offer no guarantee of it being 100% accurate after it being reduced. I do also have the full A4 version which will fit on an A3 carrier (Pro) and should be OK.

Rosemary

(I'll upload a screen shot later, I've run out of time now....) I've added one of the template for what it's worth as it dosn't show what card will  look  like!

Have seen similar cards to these for sale on TV this week - thought I'd have a go at making up a template.
Can't put a photo on 'cos my camera is very sick!
A4 card isn't long enough to create a reasonable sized card in one go, so I've cut the front separately with a flap to glue onto the back piece (does that make sense?)
There's a square and a round version and an envelope to fit.
Finished card size = 13cm square

Here's a scanned image of a made-up card, but of course it's only 2D

Have now managed a photo to show how it works!

I found a site that had a tutorial to make these cards I dragged out the rectangles, resized using the measurement given in the tut and the width and height measurement option in the software, turned on the grid and added the score lines and that's all it took.

If anyone makes a card with this PLEASE can you let me have a photo as the file doesn't look anything like a card just the pieces to make one.

:thanks:

I've added a converted GSD which is RM friendly so you should get a clean fast cut, but I had to make 2 files because RM didn't want to convert one of the rectangles no idea why, couldn't be bothered to spend hours finding out, so I split the shapes into 2 files and it's fine.

extra info from NikiB - one of the sponsers here, BubblyFunk, had one on their blog a few months ago here (http://bubblyfunk.typepad.com/bubbly_scrumptious/june-09-kit-for-a-special-birthday-by-kathy.html)

Todays subbmission is a tri-fold shutter card - this version has mum and roses on central panels but has vast possibilities for decorating the base card -

I have also done this in GSD,WPC,AI,KNK formats

Lucille found this pretty design today and posted in CR Chat about it. The template was very simple to do from the measurements given - just took a couple of minutes :P, and I've added the matting layers for the green and cream version.

Original example is here (http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_qWX3t7GqcpA/SuQemCtmwHI/AAAAAAAACRQ/ElVndKoFPqI/s320/1256463258NIMG_4884.JPG), as I've not cut my version - I should be doing other things!

Hope this is of some use to someone. Cut the joined card out first and then the orange one which is for the front. Put a piece of acetate on the back . Run double sided foam strip all round. Put picture in the middle on the back and some glitter on the acetetate. close the back and join the purple cut piece onto card. Clear as mud????? Hope photo helps more than my instructions! x

This is my take on the kinetic card being demonstrated on C&C last week. If you group it you can re-size. I haven't put all the layers on the card shown but have included the extra layer in the template. hope it's of some use to someone.
