And for our final House Challenge of 2007, we are going further up north to meet Angela from Angel Crafts (http://www.angelcrafts.biz), and Gail from Craftspirations (http://www.craftspirations.co.uk).
Angel Crafts is an online store and we are based in South lanarkshire, Scotland. We have been trading for over 2 years and pride ourselves on having the latest items in stock and also on providing excellent customer service.
We also stock the hard to get items such as Hambly, Rouge de Garance, Bampop, Kaiser, Heidi Grace and a great selection of books and magazines, as well as all the basics such as bazzill, Punches, Book Rings, adhesives, patterned papers, etc.
We also hold regular crops, full of challenges, classes and fun!!
Through Luxurious Angels, we also organise Scrapbook retreats. Luxurious Angels is hosting its 3rd retreat in March 2008 in the Luxurious Lockerbie Manor Hotel. We have a few spaces still available, so you know what to ask for for xmas!!!
Craftspirations (http://www.craftspirations.co.uk) opened its doors on the 31st of October 2005 at 128 Murray Street Montrose, Angus, Scotland. In the March of 2006 the website was launched and is solely managed by me, Gail Gray. I am married to Brian and we have 2 beautiful boys, Liam 11 and Sean 13.
I have always had a creative side to me, firstly I trained as a Hairdresser and have always had a love for interiors, decorating, colours and I am partial to the odd spot of DIY. After having an operation and in the recuperation stage I started to make cards. I became hooked within no time. I always wanted to have my own business and left my job as a Day Centre Officer to open Craftspirations; my main focus was to provide a store that had provisions for cardmaking, kid’s crafts, general craft materials, scrapbooking soon followed and gifts. I pride myself in providing a warm friendly and welcoming customer service.
We live in Montrose a 12th century burgh situated between Dundee and Aberdeen on the East Cost of Scotland. Montrose is renowned for its family friendly Seafront Splash adventure play area Blue Flag beach. It has the fifth oldest golf course in the world, and is notable for its Tidal Basin where the Montrose Basin Wildlife Centre is situated, where you can see magnificent wildlife and enjoy a superb panorama from the comfort of this unique centre.
You can be sure to find a wide range of shops in and around Montrose and places to eat, namely the well know Roos Leap which serves a taste of Down Under, and in the nearby Arbroath you will find the famous Arbroath Smokies fish.
If you are visiting the area at the end of the year and are looking for the ultimate Hogmany experience then you have only to travel 20 mins north to Stonehaven where you will see a fantastic festival unique to Stonehaven, whereby some 50 participants swing fireballs around their heads with gusto and in spectacular style, the dark skies memorably illuminated, for the approx 10000 people who attend to see it all happen whist seeing the New Year In.
Many thanks to Gail and Angela for sponsoring this months challenge.
And this months challenge is ...
Christmas Past & Present
You can choose to either scrap about a recent or future Christmas, or a past one, or even compare your childhood christmasses with your adult ones. If you don't celebrate Christmas you are welcome to join in the challenge by scrapping a 'celebration' instead.
We’re looking forward to seeing what you come up with…
