i dont know if i am posting this in the right place but i bought 2 maya road flower albums and dont know were to start and what do i do about the hole in the middle i know it sounds silly but i havent got a clue to be honest and would love some advice on were to start and what i do with them . thank you dewberrypink.sonia

There's quite a few options open to you. Best thing to do if you're struggling is imagine they are ordinary squares to decorate and forget they are flower shaped. You can collage paper over them, paint onto them (acrylic paints are best), or ink over them. Painting & inking you can do with any shape. With paper, glue on a piece larger than your shape first then trim off excess and use sandpaper to polish off. If you find it difficult to design a collage around a central hole why not stick a square of card over the hole on both sides before gluing your paper over it

Or you could stick acetate or vellum over the hole, cut a hole the same size out of your covering papers and put a rub-on on the acetate. I like having see thorugh pages or elements in books.
