Hi Alli
Here is the LO I was working on last night I used one of the hamble overlays on it. Baby Blue Eyes (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=141581&cat=500&ppuser=11077)

I know it is a bit bonkers isn't it?? Well I have had a busy day... went to view some photos my sister and I had taken last week, and ordered a couple, then working and committee stuff this afternoon. Now I have to plan the Christmas tree collage we will make at playgroup tomorrow. All fun

Corinna
01-11-2007, 09:07 PM
Yes, I'm guilty of a full inbox too! But I've been a good girl and emptied it, so hopefully it won't happen again Miss!

Hope everyone has had a good day. I feel like I have been running around like a lunatic this week. Sam is now at nursery every morning, but that means lots more bike trips for me. I am sooooo fed up of doing 2 different schools! Put our application for school in today, so now just have to wait until 15th Feb to find out if I only have a few more months of double school runs, or whether it will be a few more years!! Aaaarrrggghhhh

Right off to make some Christmas cards - first time ever, I must be mad!

AlliR
01-11-2007, 10:58 PM
I was guilty yesterday until I got an email saying that MaryB had tried to PM me.....

Fingers crossed your school application goes OK.

Hello Peeps

Was up at 4.30am this morning to pick DD up from Gatwick - she flew back from Cuba and landed at 7.00am. Feel shattered now and am going to catch up on a few zzzz's in a minute! :P

Bought a wireless keyboard and mouse yesterday but so far it's done nothing but drive us up the wall! The 'hot keys' along the top that are supposed to load Explorer, Outlook etc. only seem to work when they want to and all the buttons are in different places to my last keyboard!

Speak later.

alli Kentra received your Sunshine books and says thanks

AlliR
02-11-2007, 07:33 PM
Oh thanks Steph, meant to check the thread but never got round to it. Glad they were OK.

Well Trudy and I have had an eventful day! She helped me out at playgroup today as Selena in on hols - it's the first week where we have taken over the running of it. Was all going really well until Joe fell over and bashed his head on a plastic box resulting in a lump the size of a golf ball (no kidding!!) and becoming all hot and clamy..... After 2 hours in A&E he hasn't fractured anything and we have to just keep an eye on him. I was in a lot worse state that him! It's gone down quite a lot now, but he is going to have one corker of a bruise! Boys

Hope you've all had a calmer day than that

Sandie V
02-11-2007, 07:54 PM
Oh Alli, what a fright for all of you. Hope you all recover from the shock! Boys can be quite a liability sometimes don't you think!!!

Mary Buttons
02-11-2007, 08:05 PM
Oh Alli that is not nice hope he will be OK, and you also.

I have had a fun day getting lots of silly pressies to make up advent parcels for my DD, DSIL, DS & his girl friend. finding 24 x 4 things I thought would be a real challenge but then I went into the bazaar in the brunel when Early learning used to be and they had lots of sillies that I know will at least please Andy & Neil if not Helen & Gemma.

AlliR
02-11-2007, 08:30 PM
Good for you Mary, I am sure they will love their pressies.

Sandie V
03-11-2007, 11:11 AM
Mary I love that shop!! We bought a few things for the boys in there for xmas too :)

JoolsG
03-11-2007, 11:14 AM
Good morning everyone.

Hope Joe is looking and feeling better this morning Alli - boys scare you... Noah has already had to go to the hospital twice so far for stitches! I think until they reach a certain age (probably 40!) they just seem to have no sense!!!

Beautiful day isn't it? Got to take Kat to the Ridgeway Leisure Centre for a swimming assessment and then get things organised for Hettie's 9th birthday sleepover party. Only 2 friend invites so not many children. She wants pizza followed by chocolate fondue. Hopefully I can then persuade them in to their jammies and send them up to her room for an evening filled with dvds and popcorn... yum...

Oh, and somewhere along the line I NEED to tidy my scraproom and perhaps fit in some scrapping... possible? I think not?

What's everyone else up to?

Sandie V
03-11-2007, 11:17 AM
Absolutely NOTHING Jools, I have no plans at all!! The boys have scuttled of to their rooms with PS2 games and Hannah is watching Charlie & Lola on Cbeebies :)

SO........I guess I'd better do a bit of HW, and then maybe some scrapping later on

Hope you have a good day, and the sleepover is a success too.

AlliR
03-11-2007, 11:18 AM
Joe is fine today - swelling almost completely gone but he has a bright blue bruise which covers half his forehead. ouch!

Dave has just gone shopping with the boys as I need to do the 2 hours I work I missed yesterday. Then we have a few boring jobs to do this afternoon, and a friend coming over for curry and a chat this evening.

Hope you all have a good day.

scarymary555
03-11-2007, 01:18 PM
Morning.....ooppss afternoon all!

Thank goodness Joe is OK Alli....looks like runs to the hospital are gonna feature in your life for the next ?????? years!?!? Only had to go up there once with Megz and a couple of times with Rhys but some kids are just soooo accident prone!

Nothing much planned for the weekend.....just a take it easy sort of one. MUST go clean the bathroom properly though - something I've been putting off all week! :P

Afternoon Folks
Have just got back from the church, we got quite a bit of work done and the one room that I wanted to clear of all the rubbish accumulated there has been clear so am pleased with that, we can now use that room for storing the goods from a Thursday morning which will be much better than where they are at the mo.

Just had a phone call from a friend, meeting her at Starbucks 3 O'clock so must dash.
Speak later.

scarymary555
04-11-2007, 11:06 AM
Morning Peeps...

Had a very strange day yesterday, I awoke to a lump on my neck which then turned out to be two...looks like bites maybe. They got bigger and more painful during the day but luckily they seem to be going down a bit this morning. Didn't actually do much yesterday but yet was bored all day and evening too. DH was away, there was nothing on the TV, even the kids went out!! Talk about 'Billy no-mates'!! Normally I would be over the moon and do loads of scrappin' but I didn't feel like doing that either! Hopefully today will bring better things. At least I'm getting on OK with the keyboard now!

Corinna and Jools - you've been tagged, have a look on your blog.

I've never been tagged before so I hope I've done it right Sandie!!

Have a good day everyone....I must get off here and have a shower!

AlliR

scarymary555
04-11-2007, 11:15 AM
thanks Alli.....I think they'll eventually go away of their own accord. No need for going to the 'Walk in Centre' as DH suggested this morning! I can think of better ways of wasting my time!

AlliR
04-11-2007, 11:17 AM
If they are going down by themselves I would agree but if they get all angry make sure you go there. Dave had a bite on his ankle which he ignored and eventually had to go there to get anti-biotics, a telling off and 3 days off work to keep it elevated..........

Buying pressies is what December is made for not October or November. only done the advent parcel cos they start on Dec. 1st. and need to post two up to Skipton. Next year I will have to do one for Daniel as well.

Sandie V
04-11-2007, 05:23 PM
Whaddya mean October and November aren't for buying pressies  We've bought all the pressies for the kids and they're hiding away ready to be wrapped ;)

Did you have a nice lunch Mary?

Mary Buttons
04-11-2007, 05:30 PM
I had a lovely lunch thanks for asking we went to the Bollingbrook I had Roast Beef done just as I like it with lovely crispy roast pots. and a mixture of veg.
With Baileys cheesecake to follow. Now I feel full.
I don't like to start to think about Christmas until Dec. not sure why but thats the way its always been. Though I do buy sillies throughout the year when I find something that I think someone would like or find funny.

Sandie V
04-11-2007, 05:31 PM
Your lunch sounds delicious, its got my mouth watering

scrappy_rak
04-11-2007, 06:04 PM
Yummy! Mary, sounds like you've had a great lunch! And that cheesecake.. yummy!!! :P

And talk about Christmas!!  I love buying things all year long. We also have to send the presents to the States and Iceland and it can often take up to few weeks, due to the military post.

Christmas is my favorite time of the year and it's all that I talk and think about these days!! And yes.. I've also bought Elena's Christmas dress!!! :P The truth is.. if you don't buy it when you see it.. things will sell out and you'll get stressed!!! Don't think Christmas is about stressing at all!! I love spending December cleaning my house, baking cookies, burning candles and listening to Christmas music.. not stressing in the shops!! ;)

Sandie V
04-11-2007, 06:13 PM
I'd go along with that Rakel, I love December to be full of excitement for the kids, and the build up to christmas.

Mary Buttons
04-11-2007, 07:31 PM
Oh I agree entirely with the excitement growning towards Christmas and I understand about having to get things posted much earlier when going abroard. I used to spend nearly all december shopping making and baking and that was a real build up for me as I really used to enjoy it. I think I have had such a rough few years since John died that it has taken the sparkle out of Christmas for me but I think this year will be different as I am difinitely going up to Helen's and will be with family again.

Sandie V
04-11-2007, 07:33 PM
That will be lovely for you Mary, to share in Daniels first christmas.

04-11-2007, 07:48 PM
Mary, I know you'll have a wonderful time! :)

I'm kind of upset at the moment, my MIL was suppose to be spending Christmas with Paul's sisters and their boyfriends. Everything had been sorted for it and now for some reason Paul's older sister decided she's not having everyone over for Christmas and my MIL will be spending Christmas alone!!! Now.. that's just not right!! :nono:

Sandie V
04-11-2007, 07:50 PM
Oh thats a shame Rakel, can't you have her with you?

Mary Buttons
04-11-2007, 07:51 PM
Oh Rakel that is so not right I never let my mum be alone for Christmas except the very last one when she just didn't want to know.

Mary Buttons

04-11-2007, 08:36 PM
Hi everyone, we have the boys stuff sorted, I nearly always buy Dave's present online as that is just so much easier. Got my niece and nephews, done the album for my sister. Getting mag subscriptions for mum and dad as they are so hard to buy for. Trudy and Jim are sorted. SIL & partner also sorted. Just my aunts and uncles to decide about. I don't do shopping after mid November, I hate queues, they never have the size or colour you want, and there are only so many Christmas carols I can listen to on loop in the shop. Bah humbug!

Mary Buttons
05-11-2007, 12:23 PM

not too nice out there is it, but thats a good reason to stay in and get the DHW done. Not done to badly this morn. I can now move in the spare bedroom have shifted the cases and will put them in the loft later. Have done my bedroom all except the 4 bags of advent parcel stuff, I hope to get them wrapped this pm. and tidied and cleaned the kitchen.
Just my Craftroom and conservatory but I have to be somewhere where I can be myself - messy

Good morning everyone - Great LO Mary, have left a comment :D

Alli - I won't be able to be at the crop this Saturday. My mum (& her husband) are coming to stay and I did hope for one tiny moment that I might be able to come along but I've just found out that my DH and her DH are going off to watch a football match (in London I think?) and so I don't think she would 'appreciate' my leaving her with all the children... :(

Perhaps I can pop in to the crop on Monday (after my college course) and pick up my kit?

AlliR
07-11-2007, 08:39 PM
No probs about Saturday Jools, I had you down as a 'can't make it but would if could' as you mentioned last time we saw you that you mum was staying. No problem popping in on the 19th to collect your kit. If you want the Nov kit I will need payment by Saturday tho (i know you said you did as it is the CW template one).

Mary Buttons

Did Hannah enjoy it?
I think if I have the gingerbread latte again I will see if I can have an extra shot of ginger, could hardly taste it, I am wondering if my tastebuds are going on the blink.
Think I may well try to make it myself and see what I think I certainly like the idea and what I could taste was nice just not strong enough

Mary Buttons
09-11-2007, 02:24 PM
Right Home made it is really scrummy. more gingery than the shop and I made it with coffeemate. only thing missing is the squirty cream. cos I don't have any.

Just realised its scrapaholics tomorrow and I haven't the faintest what I want to do.

Sandie V
09-11-2007, 02:31 PM
Hannah did enjoy it, yes thanks Mary. I've filled in the paperwork and she starts officially on the 7th January with 2 settling in sessions in December.

It will seem a long time till January for her still with Christmas coming that may keep her ocupied especially if she is still making presents with glitter.

Sandie V
09-11-2007, 05:24 PM
The way she's been playing me up today, January will seem a long way off.

Still she gets her sessions paid for by the government after January, so she isn't going beforehand

Mary Buttons
09-11-2007, 06:28 PM
thats good Sandie didn't realise that you could get them paid for you.

Sandie V
09-11-2007, 06:55 PM
You can once they are 3 years old, depending on when their birthday is. Because Hannah was 3 in September her entitlement didn't start until January, which is why I've held on.

AlliR
09-11-2007, 07:24 PM
Hi everyone, another busy day for me! Just don't know where the time is going at the moment. So are you all set for tomorrow??

Glad you found a nursery you like Sandie, will Hannah be doing the full 5 sessions? At Sparklers they start them on 2 and then move them up by 1 more each term. They offered me 4 from January but I'm sticking to 3 as the 4th one would be an afternoon and as I work the days he doesn't already go it will be a bit of a logistical problem. But he will move up to 4 after Easter and I'll just work something out then :P

Mary Buttons
09-11-2007, 08:18 PM
No I am not at all sure what I want to do tomorrow, will bring some bits and see where that leads me and if not I will see what everyone else is doing.
Is it Scrapajacks thats coming tomorrow?

Sandie V
09-11-2007, 10:59 PM
Alli - Hannah is only doing 2 sessions as that is all they have available at the moment, which is fine really. I will keep asking for 1 more, but 3 will be enough. Rich wants to have his Wednesday morning with her while I'm working and that can only be good in my opinion :D

AlliR
09-11-2007, 11:37 PM
Certainly is Sandie. Sparklers only offer a max of 4 anyway, but I am happy to stick with 3 and see how it goes for now. Liam certainly loves going, and I am sure Hannah will too.

Looking forward to seeing you all in the morning! I'll pick you up as usual Mary.

Oh that is lovely Mary!

Mary Buttons
10-11-2007, 05:04 PM
Thanks Sandie it is quite a simple one but I was not in the right place to concentrate on anything more complicated the lettering alone was enough for me today.

Sandie V
10-11-2007, 05:55 PM
Well I haven't done any scrapping today at all, I've been tidying up and re-organising a few things around the house!

My online friend has a baby due next week, I am sure I am "nesting" for her

Mary Buttons
10-11-2007, 06:17 PM
What are you like Sandie you can't nest for someone else she needs to do it for herself

Sandie V
10-11-2007, 06:19 PM
Ha ha I know  And she has been too, cleaning out cupboards and everything

I don't think I ever got the nesting instinct with any of my pregnancies, I could do with it a bit more now though, my housework might get done more often

Mary Buttons
10-11-2007, 06:25 PM
I don't remember Helen getting them either but I certainly did when my two were due. With Helen I found myself scrubbing like made on the bathroom walls, the bathroom at that time was just the outside buildings that had been incorporated into the house and the walls were just skimmed over with a thin layer of plaster and then painted you could see the brickwork through it.
When Neil was due John came home from work to find me on the steps clearing out cupboards, he said OH NO I've ordered the skip to clear the back garden I just said Sorry John the baby will come tomorrow.

Sandie V
10-11-2007, 06:27 PM
 I love it :D

I've just sent off another submission for an American Kit Design Team  Wish me luck  And I'll hear in 5/6 days time whether I've got a guest designer spot on another american kit

I must be MAD

Mary Buttons
10-11-2007, 06:45 PM
I was very restained to day didn't buy any pps still spent too much but not on any more pps this time. was tempted by the Chistmas pack but decided I had enough Christmas pps to last for several years to come

Sandie V
10-11-2007, 06:57 PM
What did you buy then?

Mary Buttons
10-11-2007, 07:00 PM
An 6x12 vertical album bright green
some bling snowflakes
and snowflake brads (we had better have snow this winter )
bright blue ink pad cats eye one

Mary Buttons
10-11-2007, 07:01 PM
seemed to come to an awful lot for so little but the book was £15 so that take up the bulk of it.

Sandie V
10-11-2007, 07:01 PM
Ooh I am loving the bling and that album. How much was the album (if you don't mind me asking)?

Sandie V
10-11-2007, 07:08 PM
Ah you'd answered that already

Mary Buttons
10-11-2007, 07:14 PM
Not sure how much the bling was the trouble is I didn't keep the list Jacky did so I don't have the exact amounts of everything and I am still not sure that is everything either seems so little for the amount I spent.

Sandie V
10-11-2007, 07:19 PM
You could always check it on her website if you're not sure

Mary Buttons
10-11-2007, 07:22 PM
Yes thats true might do that

Sandie V
10-11-2007, 07:23 PM
I just had a quick look and the bling were £2.70 each.

Mary Buttons
10-11-2007, 07:33 PM
Does work out about right but seems a lot for what I got

Sandie V
10-11-2007, 07:34 PM
Mind you that bling was quite pricey, in my opinion anyway. Thats the trouble with impulse buying  Its probably a good thing I can't go to the Saturday crops

Mary Buttons
10-11-2007, 07:42 PM
It is a lot for just a little bling I bought some crystal tattoos the other day I think from the bazaar place in the Brunel and that was only about £1 for three pretty ones

Sandie V
10-11-2007, 07:43 PM
They are great, I'll have to look out for those. I have some paper somewhere with apples on too!

Talk about impulse buying, I've just placed an order with Scrapbook Boutique for papers and paint  Do I really need them...........NOPE

Wow! 2 posts in one day! I must be on a roll  I had a day off work today and spent it cleaning the house  But have to say, I know nothing better then having my house clean and everything sorted for the week!

I've just uploaded one of the projects I did yesterday at the workshop. It's here (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=142436&cat=2) if you fancy a look!

Alli, I think I should be able to make it on the 19th, I will check with Paul and get back to you! But I don't be able to make it to the crop on the 1st of December, as I've promised a friend of mine to help her out with her DD's birthday party that same day!

Ow.....that's not good Alli! When are you likely to get re-connected? Does it effect your home PC?

Hello..... been to town this morning as had to collect my wedding ring after it has been resized - think it is too small now :nono: Will have to see what it is like in a few days....

Just trying to sort out what I will do for my Christmas mini books this year. Need to get them done asap so I can relax knowing they will be sent before the last posting date  Oh well, might need a trip to Snazzys this afternoon

Hope Hannah feels better Sandie, and that you get some shut eye.

Hi everyone, not really had a chance to catch up properly, but just wanted to say "hi".

Been on a "What Not To Wear" day today and it was fab! Not as vicious as Trinny & Susannah, and such good fun. Learnt why I look stupid in skirts & how not to dress my boobs! And bought the most gorgous scarf! Will try and remember to wear it to the crop on 1st Dec! Someone remind me closer to the day!

Right off to bed, as we are suffering the sleep deprivation too at the moment!

Corinna, the "what not to wear" day sounds fab, I'd love to do that.

Hannah is a bit better today, we had a little more sleep lastnight, but she woke at 5.30am and was sick 3 times :( Hopefully she'll pick up a bit as the day goes on.
