Hi, I'm Rebecca Warburton. I'm married to my loving husband Will and mother to my 4 children, Megan (10), Carys (8), Lewis (6) & Katherine (3). I first became interested in Scrapbooking when my sister came back from a visit to my Parents in Australia laden with all these lovely paper goodies, with the intention of scrapping our childhood photos....well it didn't take me long to be hooked, well and truly hooked. I've been scrapping now for about 7 years, though my style has changed alot in that time.
In 2004 I was primarily a stay at home mum with a part time job to help pay the bills, knowing Katherine was my last 'baby' I started looking at my future....and in April 2005 Rebecca's Scrapbooking Stash was born. We started off small as capital seemed to get 'bagsied' by the children first and have grown from there. We've worked from 'the bottom up' so to speak and have loved every minute of it. Working for myself has always been a goal of mine, tieing it in with my love for scrapbooking is an added bonus. We aim to stock products that are different from the 'norm' along with essentials and pride ourselves on our different way of thinking in regards to kits we create and items we stock. Also we're the biggest stockist of Dream Street Papers a wonderful range of papers that we have a passion for.
While Rebecca's Scrapbooking Stash is online only we're based in Warrington, once an steel & textiles industry town (hense Warrington Wolves or Wires) and now a growing New town. We have one of the largest shopping centres in the North West England with award winning redevelopment of the town centre, including dedication to the lives of Johnathon Ball and Tim Parry lost in the bombing. We were the first town chosen by IKEA for a UK store (and we all lurve IKEA). We're also proud to still hold our annual Walking Day where the town centre is closed to traffic and churches walk through the town. While Warrington maybe growing it's spirit shines through and the beauty isn't lost. Pay us a visit sometime, you won't be dissapointed.
Scrapfairies opened it’s online doors in 2006. It is run by Sam (maffie) who is helped out by her partner Kev and even her mum and brother. We also have a great design team who every month feature some of our products. As well as the online store we run monthly crops in the Manchester area and also take the shop along to many other crops in the Northwest so it’s a great way to come see our stash and save some money on postage. We welcome visitors so please drop me an email if you would like to collect your shopping or just pop by for a coffee. We are located in a beautiful area up in the Saddleworth villages and I make a mean cup of coffee! Our new crop hall is also close by in Waterhead and easy to access from Manchester and the Motorway network in the area. We run a crop once a month which provides not only cropping time but lots of food, fun and shopping!
We are brimming with a variety of products not just for Scrapbooking, but also for altered arts and card makers too. We have recently been expanding our ink and stamp ranges after requests from customers. We value ourselves on quality products at great value, mix that in with personal customer service and we think you will love shopping at Scrapfairies.
As well as having offers and free gifts we also run a loyalty scheme where you build points as you spend and these can be reclaimed at a later date just like a gift voucher.
We welcome customers to contact us with enquiries or product requests as we love to help, so if you are unsure what Bazzill goes with the papers you want, or you want to match our range of flowers with ribbons, just get in touch as we are always happy to help.
Thanks Rebecca and Sam, its great to 'meet' you
and now onto this months Challenge...
its October, and that means Harvest-time, Haunting, Hallowe'en. This months challenge is to create a layout about
Halloween or Autumn
When you think of Halloween, does it make you think.. black, purple, orange
When you think of Autumn, do you think warm reds, oranges etc
Well, in addition to your theme, you'll need to scrap in non-traditional colours! so no typical Autumn shades, and no usual halloween colours
and thats not all....
you need to add some METAL to this months layout
we can't wait to see what you come up with
and finally, deadlines and rules
