Club dates are:

Crop on the 13th
Your chance to scrap and chat. We have Lets Get Scrapping joining us for any stash needs you may have. We will also be collecting any mini books made for the 'scrap a little sunshine project' that Steph told us about. You can see more details in her post here (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/showpost.php?p=3888148&postcount=434).
Class on the 29th
The kit contains 2 Imaginisce patterned papers, 4 sheets of cardstock (2 blue, 1 white, 1 black), a 12x12 sheet of Hambly Overlay transparencies, a white flower and a length of white ribbon. My examples using the kit can be found below, and I still have half a sheet of the overlays left.
Please remember that you can attend the class session without having the club kit if you prefer.

Morning everyone, sorry I haven't been around for ages. There are too many posts for me to catch up. You are all little chatterboxes!
I've been feeling really rough this last week and last Sunday developed an awful head cold and have been trying to shift it. On top of that I've been trying to photograph my world (and what fills it) as I'm off for a whole weekend cropping this weekend with friends (& some new ones) and will be doing Shim's 'Album in a Day' class - although we'll be taking a whole weekend!
How is everyone?
Corinna - congrats on passing your exams, I knew you would!
jools on mysims, how many 'worlds' do you have?? im running out places for houses! i have the desert, the forest and the town. im sure there's more!
Steph - you are probably way ahead of me - I have to 'fight' for MySims time with 3 children! LOL. Currently have the same as you though so I think that maybe it... bit disappointing though I thought and I'm finding myself slightly bored by it already...

MaryB, read my blog if you want to know what I'm up to :D
Jools I hope you feel better in time for your weekend away, have a fab time ;)
Corinna, I'll bring your RAK to the next Monday night crop if thats okay?
And everyone else HELLO :D :D Rich bought me a new printer today, I now have an epson all-in-one. My HP printer was slowly giving up on me, and the scanner had broken too.
Tomorrow is our 11th wedding anniversary, and we're going out for lunch at Blunsdon House Hotel, Hannah is coming too, except today she's come down with a bit of a cold, so we're keeping our fingers crossed she'll be okay and we won't have to cancel
Hope everyone else is ok too :D

Well I have a handover from the previous preschool committee chairperson tonight, wonder what delights what will uncover :P I've not done any scrapping this week, been too busy or too tired, but hoping to squeeze some in over the weekend. Also looking forward to meeting one of my team mates this weekend who is at ScrapCamp at the Hilton (was to be in Bristol but the venue changed).

I have just done another LO of DGS but am not uploading to my gallery as need to clear away some of the older ones to make room for the CC so I am posting it here
It didn't scan all that well the colours are brighter IRL and the buttons have given the page a wonky look also the scan has chopped a bit off the btm but you get the gist of it
I printed the pp out from one I had created on Serif & PSP used Brazzill cs
the larger button I filed the shank off so that it would stick easier. the rikrak is from my MILs stock of trimmings and the stamp in the LH corner is Autumn Leaves clear stamps swirls V:1 stamped with ColorBox smoke blue
Title Font is Acadian™ Journaling font Angelina and reads:- Daniel at three months beginning to form different sounds and chuckling noises

Hello everyone! :D
Fab news Sandie! I'm so happy for you! :D
You've all been very busy scrappin'!! Must catch up on the thread and leave comments!! :D
We had a FAB holiday! We really didn't want to come back!! We got home just after midnight last night and it was back to work for me today! Paul's off till Thursday and I'm not jealous at all :P I've already places an order with snapfish for some of my holiday photos and done 4 loads of laundry.. but the pile of laundry hasn't gotten any smaller!!
Elena's teacher sent her with a Travel Teddy to Portugal and Elena kept a diary of their stay in Portugal and of course Travel Teddy went everywhere with us! I took loads of pictures and want to make her a mini album before she takes her diary back to school, so need to get started on the cover tonight, as the photos are coming tomorrow! Think Elena would really love that and something that she would treasure when she gets older!
Anyways.. we went all over Algarve in Portugal. We did a daytrip and it was FAB. We went to ''The end of the world'' the southest point of Europe and the view was fantastic! Why camera was put to very good use and I took over 300 photos! :D I know the photos for my Christmas paper bag books are now sorted!! :D We also went to the Zoo, the dolphins were fab! The waterpark, we lived on the beach and ohhh.. it was just so nice!
Well, I better run! Laundry and dinner calls! Will catch up with you all later!

it turned out halfway nice today! Too bad I have nothing going on! I worked at the school this morning but only for a couple of hours and decided not to go back this afternoon. I snagged an old school desk from one of the kids schools that needs some serious TLC and was going to start sanding it down but DH doesn't know where his sander is so that will have to wait til tomorrow. I did however get my CJ done, all the stash for one of the swaps I am in ready to go and some relaxing in....so I got some things done. B)

Morning all!
What a weekend! I was never so glad to see a monday! My weekend was really boring...first I had to cancel a scrapdate when Gryphen came down with a nasty bug, then Sunday Brandon came down with the same bug and had to spend the whole day in bed barely able to move...I took a bus to the Brunel Centre because we still didn't have everything we needed for our trip this weekend and came home exhausted! I came home to a trashed house and spent the next few hours working on getting it back into shape before finally sitting down and getting two pages done...one just because and one for the October team challenge...I will upload them later.
Anyways, I was looking forward to sending all the kids to school today and having the day home with Brandon but Gryphen threw up again last night...after all day Sunday doing well! So Brandon who is completely well again is going to take the other kids to school and I am going to finish up a page before heading to the post office to post my last two October Swaps!
I hope everyone else had a good weekend!

Good Afternoon!
What a nasty day! I was meant to be volunteering at the school today but got called home by my middle sons school to let me know he had left school without telling anyone and when they phoned our house he answered and said the "babysitter" was asleep...so I left my volunteer work and have spent the day dealing with Tristan who refused to go back to school. He had been complaining about not feeling well this morning but I don't know if I believe that to be the issue.
Anyways, we have spend a lovely day inside reorganizing my ever expanding ribbon collection by color rather than the disorganized way it used to be. He hasn't opened up about anything but he is going to school tomorrow and isn't arguing it so it is either a test of some sort or he really was feeling ill. All the rest of mine are finally back at work and school!
On other news I have so many trips coming up! We leave for Devon friday morning! I am so excited to have a vacation for a full week! We haven't done that in years, and it is my first vacation without internet in YEARS! Also I signed up for my first scrapping retreat..it's not til spring but I am so excited! And lastly I signed up for a base trip to the German Christmas markets in late November! I am going on my own, which is really rather nice because I will have a break from home and all my extra money can be spent on ME! YAY! I am nervous because I have to take the chunnel which I am terrified of (will definitely have to take Valium ) and it also sux a little since I have to pay a single supplement, that money could have gone towards so much good stuff!

were going to Exmouth, it's a holiday park which works well with all my boys...we have a few fun things planned but mostly will hang out at the park and just relax..walk the beach, swim in the indoor pools etc. I am really looking forward to the rest!

Dave was a bit like that Mary, didn't do that well at school (except English literature, he stormed that exam! but average in everything else) but he went on to do a mechanic YTS, took all the training Volkswagen and Audi could throw at him and finished as Reporting Technican (top dog!) for Audi..... Maybe he is just a bit more hands on than academic?

I only tried shrink plastic once and I wasn't pleased with it at all I didn't realise just how small they become and am still not sure how big to make them in the first place to get anything worth having at the end. Think I would rather use Fimo then I know what I am getting.

Mary Buttons

How much does it shrink for instance if I want a button say 1cm in diameter how big would I have to cut it
peachey-kins
18-10-2007, 06:09 PM
it shrinks to about a third its original size, so go with at least 3cm

Well I haven't done Nov's kit, but I have done 2 LOs for our team challenge, which was to make a 'free' LO (ie just freebie papers and embellies from magazines or free digi downloads etc). Here's my attempts - I have chucked some of the SI embellies as soon as I got them so it meant I was a bit embellie-less. 1st one is a 12x12 based on pencil lines sketch 54, 2nd is an 8x8 for Joe's baby album (finally used those velvet stickers from yonks ago!)
Any of you ladies fancy giving it a go as well?
Mary Buttons
21-10-2007, 08:39 AM

They are gorgeous Alli,
I'll have a go, if I can find any of the embelishments they seem to get integrated with everything else, but I know I have some of those velvet letters and also clear plastic ones.

My dog is a bit mad  I'm toying with the idea of doing a scrapbook with Jack or just a page. I think with a bit of planning I could get a decade onto a 12x12? But we'll have to see
