Here are three things I hope you'll find a use for:
A4 folded card tree opening. Print and trim edges.
A4 folded scallop edged card print and trim edges.
small box suitable for tiny gifts or business cards

Christmas in July! Now I've had the input for the word edged cards I can't stop - cut this in thin mirror card and it looks very good. Could also be resized to use as a mat on a card.

Someone on here asked a few days ago about a happy birthday pop that they couldnt find in the template section and i was able to point them in the right direction , anyway i decided to make one for christmas for anyone who may want to use it.

I know I have given templates before but this is a sort of a little thank you to everyone who gave me help when I first got my robo.

I cut it and made a card with it that i have uploaded into my gallery on here as well.

Hope you like it, the photo of the inside isnt great its not easy photographing a popout card!!!!

Hi here's another one I made last night.

Very elegant.
Once again be warned, the folding takes some time and patience. As a lot of the joins are quite fine, do not try to force it to fold too quickly or it will break.
TIP; Make sure that where the tab joins the star, the cuts are right through and the waste is free. Even though all the lines on the template connect, if your Robo is just 1mm out it can leave the waste connected.

Enjoy

Here's a Noel word card that I adapted from one I saw in a magazine. You may need to check that the length is OK, I've done it on the Pro and I think the carrier sheet "boundaries" are not quite the same - I seem to be able to cut a bit longer but not so wide.

You may need to wishaway it.

I'll upload a photo tomorrow when I've had time to assemble it! (Edited to add that I don't seem to have taken the photo!)

Hello Everyone, I dont know if this has been done before but I fancied a bit of paper weaving so designed the attached files to use for Christmas cards, I have adapted it since for using to cut a full card front and changed the shape for other fronts. I am hooked now
hope someone can use it

As many newbies, I am extremely grateful for all the wonderful templates, help and inspiration that this forum gives me. This is my first template (based on the wonderful cards by Shirley Anne - sorry Shirley if this steps on your toes, but I love yours so much that I wanted to try something similar myself!!!!). I tried cutting it several times and it seems fine. The Santa's face I actually drew using the Pen facility and then have just glittered it to make it a bit snazzy and then cut it out using scissors - argh!!!

I have put it altogether in a bit of a rush as I was so excited that I have actually managed to make a template of own - hence the glue smudges.

So once again thanks for everything guys - the CR is fab and I feel like I am finally getting to grips with it - with all your help xxx:wub: xxx

Hi I saw the post of the on the round template and thought it was a neat idea. Here's my version. Quick and easy to make. Robo does all the work.

Designed in Inkscape using Pattern to path, traced in Robo. Storybook font.

Cut from a variety of cards and papers.

Hi all,

The second version of letters on the round. The trees are raised on decoupage pads and decorated with peel off waste.

Designed in Inkscape, traced in Robo. Storybook font.

Another quick and easy card since Robo does most of the work.

Hope you like them.

Hi,

This one is courtesy of my daughter, Helen. She described it and I designed it. It took a bit of weeding as the snowflakes are very fine. I cut the blue from card and the other bits from 120gsm paper.

Helen has really got into thinking about different design ideas, so look out for some more from her.

I hope you like it.

Story book font, WWflakes font, designed in Inkscape, traced in Robo. Cut the small Let it Snow and the snowflakes slowly, I used speed 2.

ErikaP

:P4.30 here and 35C, so off to the pool for a dip now!

Been playing with letters and came up with this. Big Mummy font. really simple. Not a lot of room to write who it's from but it looks effective (I think) The holly paper is from Crafters Companion CD.

Please set green line to dotted in the settings. The reason for 2 red lines showing is that I did copy/paste as I needed 2 cuts. You can delete one layer if you like!

I would welcome your comments on my first attempt at a Christmas pop-up. The outer card and insert were both cut on 160grm card , red cap, speed 10 and thickness 30 (My robocop has a blue lid). I put a piece of Mirror Card behind the cutout so that it would reflect the sleigh. It cut like a dream with only one pass. My inspiration came from the lovely Filigree Sleigh made by thecountryrose, many thanks again to her. The font I used was Worstveld Sling Extra. I cannot remember the source of the 'reindeer choir' but I have had it on file for several years. The gift boxes were definitely copyright free clipart.
Nervously awaiting your comments!

A couple of hints for newbies. Firstly, if the filigree 'chews up' when cutting, this means that the carrier sheet is not tacky enough. The filigree is very delicate and if the carrier sheet is too tacky then it will be difficult to remove without tearing. This is really a hint for people making their own carrier sheets. The standard sheet should be fine. Use the red blade and only cut once. (Double cutting may also tear the filigree). Take your time (slowly does it) and if possible, use a slender palette knife to remove the sleigh from the carrier sheet. Look at the picture to see which way the folds go. Bend each fold a little bit at a time until you reach the full angle. The card was assembled with double sided tape. Most of all ENJOY!

This is my first try at doing filigree and I'm quite pleased with it. I drew the shapes for the filgree in Illustrator then saved them as a jpeg and autotraced them in Robomaster. The card itself I did in Robomaster so everything cuts OK. I used a thickish card for the base and and a medium weight one for the green filigree and pearlised gold card for the other one. Hope you like them.

Shirley Anne

Got this idea from Making Cards magazine. I cut both the card base and letters in the same thickness of card as the top part of the letter P sticks out from the base of the card so it would be a bit floppy with thin card. It fits in a DL size envelope.

Cut in medium weight hammered card - two cuts, just over med speed , top pressure and pink cap - newer machines will proberly cut with less pressure.

my tree is a green triangle covered with punched branches.

This simple border was designed in Designmaster, and I have used it on a card posted recently. I have managed to make it into a GSD file thanks to the very clear instructions from Susib. It can easily be resized to suit. This is the first template I have managed and it is quite clumsy compared to the lovely works of art on here but at least it is a start. Hope someone can use it.

made this in DM then saved as a GSD file, had to use a zip folder as file was to big to upload, picture not very good but does look pretty when dressed up, ( Edit ) managed to upload new GSD file thanks to rosemary, i never delated the screen capture which made the file to big, so if any one has already used that one they may like to use the GSD file don't know if it would make a difference to the cutting due to the screen capture not been removed

So, on the outside the cut out word says Joy and inside the card the same cutout word says You - sounds crazy huh

Feel free to use the cutout word in any card, it doesn't have to be a christmas card as it could apply in a lot of instances so just take off the holly and the word christmas.

I saw something similar in the gift shop in the Tate Modern recently so thought I would have a play. I designed it in Designmaster and made a GSD template as well. Not cut it yet but I am sure it will be ok. Cut the Christmas tree in the appropriate coloured papers and place on the inside of the card so that you can see it through the tree aperture on the front of the card. Feel free to resize.

Lynne

I managed to find the time to cut the card. So uploaded a couple of pictures. I found that I had to reduce the size of the DM template to keep it within the cutting lines of my Robo

Thought this would be a nice idea for a child (or for any of us that haven't grown up - ok, that would be all of us then :P:D)

I used quite thin card, so have backed the moving bits.

I had to zip the gsd files due to the large graphic on front of the card.

Thought I'd upload this here as the crafty club haven't put them up, and although its late to upload for christmas, this might come in handy for the next big card usage which will be valentines!

This is 3 pieces of card - inside one of the pieces I glued the hands inside to make it so that they closed the card, best way for you to do this is to put the hands in a clasp and then glue them one at a time so that they fit together. I also wanted to make it a bit 3d which is why I 'hung' the mistletoe off the card, if you don't want to use the mistletoe, take out the 2 small cuts on the inside card and take out the small rectangle to the side. You can just use the basic gateway card - my advice is to use the thickest card robo will take as the words stand away from the edge considerably and therefore make it delicate. I haven't included the welded word of happy christmas as that was done as my first attempt as a gra file in designmaster.

Here I wanted a 'strong visual' card - I took both of the cards I am uploading today to work and people fell into one of two camps, either the kissing one was too fussy or dainty and this card was either clean to the eye or not enough detail:lol: Interesting to see which people liked which best:rolleyes:

12 Files once again and comes with box template too, I have made the front of the box from acetate and etched it then got my super glue pen and gone round the letter's the smothered in Glamour dust, The piccy doesn't do the etched glamour dust any justice, it looks really sparkley, but be warned the glamour dust is a big pain to remove as it gets everywhere on the acetate.

Hope I have done this correctly!

Hi! GSD File Added

Another Christmas one this one has taken me ages to design.

It is meant to be in the shape of a present. With two sprigs holly and a lace design as well (first lace design I have done)

I used some old cardstock to do a test cut & thought it turned out to be quite effective. Orange card with a lemon/yellow backing card.

I have tried to do a gsd file but the lace didn't turn out so well, so I have attached the jpg's to see if anyone else can do them?? Just when I thought I had mastered the conversion grrrr!:(

Hope you all like it...... :) Managed to create a reasonable GSD File, had to break the design up into sections, then convert the sections and rebuild the design. Hope it is worth it & cuts okay? Please let me know if it doesn't...

I thought I'd have a go at this month's challenge. Having been away from home for so long, this is my first opportunity to take part in one.

There are 2 offerings, both with pop-up edges. The baby one is very basic. The Christmas one has been done as a pop-up, pop-over, that's pop-over as in wrap, not as in pudding or tart, (tart as in cake).

I did it this way because the cut away lower edge won't be strong enough to support the finished card. Just cut a piece of suitable card to place the wrap over and glue in place. (Ignore the letter I which isn't stuck down properly, I only noticed it when the sun created the shadow from it.)

It also means you can use thicker embossed or glitter card as the base.

Both are DL size when finished.

Hope you like.

Hi,

Been playing again. This one was done as a Challenge template.

I've done it as a "wrap/pop-over", which means you can cut it in a lighter weight card and mount it over a different colour, I also designed the angel. I coloured her using water colour crayons and cut her out by hand leaving a very fine border. (I've never come to terms with print and cut.)

The outline is there purely for size, so you can ensure the one you print and colour will fit the space. To get the angel, click the thumbnail then right click the image and save onto your computer.

Hope you like.

Well here is my challenge result.
I changed my mind about the dove of peace as I could not make up my mind on what colour's to use and made this simple C6 card instead, not very fancy I know but I had fun doing it :)

Sadly, the glittering does not show up very well but it sparkles nicely.............promise !

Santa and his sleigh swooping over the rooftops. It's taken a while to get right as it is quite delicate. Add some glamour dust for a frosty sparkle.

Hi All,

I'm sure a lot of us have friends and family with a baby. I needed to design a card for my 5 month old grandson who will celebrate his first Christmas this year.

This is one of the designs I came up with. I put a pair of mittens on the front, but you can add any embellishment you like.

Enjoy

This is my last Christmas design for this year. Although it doesn't have to be for Christmas, it could be used for other seasons with a bit of imagination.

If you have visited my personal gallery at http://www.thephillipsons.net
you'll understand where the inspiration for this one came from. I designed it to send to our local friends and neighbours.

Basically it's a 3 fold card, I've glittered it and attached it to a backing card that will fit an C6 envelope.

In order to get the maximum length, the document settings are set slightly longer than A4, so make sure when you load the card into Robo, it is set to cut right at the leading edge.

Hope someone can use it.

I know I know I am soooo early...I blame C&C blockbuster lol
I love making cards for nearest and dearest but hate the batch making you have to do for people at work and neighbours etc so I decided to come up with a simple design which could be placed on a piece of mirror board and stuck to a card.
For some reason the scan of the gold mirror board has turned black :) and for the paper I used C&C smooth decoupage paper which has turned out to be fantastic for intricate designs like this :)

Hope u like it

The mirror board measurments are 6.5cm by 10 cm

Wasn't quite sure what to call this as I started out to make a Fairy but I think she looks more like an Angel - still I don't suppose it matters !! When put together if you tap on the wings she will rock from side to side. There is an optional print and cut file for the face and hair or you can do your own. I put the backing for the wings though my Zyron then stuck the filigree wings on top and sprinkled with Glamour dust. I cut the filigree wings from 160 gms card but the rest is cut from thickish card probably about 230 -250 gms.

My challenge to you all in this festive month is - "To create a card/scrapbookpage or decorative item from a Christmas carol or song"
I thought that this would be flexible enough for everyone to create something for Christmas and as we all get busy.

I'll start the ball rolling with "Oh, Little Town Of Bethlehem" - this is a card depicting the silhouette of Bethlehem against the night sky.

Look forward to seeing what you all come up with.

I'm cheating as this is a very old template (which was removed when we had our copyright theft problems); it's appropriate and also one of my favourite carols, so here it is again. You will need to create a card or panel around the design as this is left blank on the template. My original version was cut as a panel and attached to an A5 card, and I used a silver pen, silver Mirri mats (I think!), and blank silver peeloffs to create the design.

Details of the fonts used, are included on the template,
and the uploaded version was modified in v5.1 to include copyright info.

Thank you to Jan for cutting and asembling for me as I just haven't had time to do anything lately..

I have made this just from shapes in inkscape.. Surprising what you can make with just shapes.. The sentiment is for the pen tool and the font is Elegant script..

Font=Hawaiian Aloha BTN. I wanted to draw this with the pen but I've mislaid my penholder so I cut it out, it cuts fine. The writing can be done with the pen or cut out and the tree can be an aperture or cut separately an stuck on.

The song (if you haven't) guessed is "Rocking around the Christmas Tree" sung by Brenda Lee

A really quick one and nothing fantastic, but I tried, lol

Font = EastMarket. You may want to write this then you wouldn't lose the inners like I did

Haven't cut him yet, but I hope he's fine. I used to love watching the Little Drummer Boy every Christmas, but they don't seem to have it on anymore :( Hope you like him :)

Finally, my attempt at the challenge ^_^

As usual I used my favourite subject..........snow which I love.

Sorry about the picture quality, it was scanned so the glitter does not show up and the pearlised card lookes darker than it is in real life, also layered up 3D style which does not show very well.
Wordmat and snowflake cut in 160gsm card.

I have altered the SVG file.

This card is a tri-fold. The pink lines on the template should be drawn with the pen tool first, before sending the rest to cut. The leaves, pears and partridge are all decoupaged. :comp:

Hope it is useful.

Edited to add that the font used was Edwardian Script ITC
