I made the templates for this card so it is copyright free. I have attached a thumbnail of one of the cards I made. I find it looks best if the flowers are made of card in different shades, and a couple are raised on 3D pads. It also looks good to only stick down along the centre of the leaves so that the edges are raised and this gives the card more 3D effect. I used gold thread on mine. I only make cards for charity and friends / family but this one has been really popular.

I know you can get flower dingbats but wanted to have a go at my own so came up with these, thought they might be of use to someone, I have grouped each flower so they are easy to resize.

I know that the C&C demo did mention this but I think they used acetate. I tried acetate then used thin card - cheaper and did just as well.
Cut out two stencils as mirror images and put them one on top of the other so they match- these are approx A6 length - with the wrong side of your card facing you sandwich it between the stencils and secure with two paper clips- using a ball tool gently trace your shape - as you push down the card will be forced through the stencil on the lower side forming a raised design on the right side of the card..
The idea is exactly the same as that famous embossing system!!
I cut my stencils in 160 gr card -and they embossed perfectly. use the same technique for numbers, letters, Monograms on wedding stationery - the list is endless and if you ruin your stencil - just cut another one!
A tip - if you want to emboss in the middle of your card and are not sure how to line the stencils up just make them longer than the card, stick the ends together to make a kind of sleeve and slip your card in - the design will match up perfectly - this idea is great if you are doing monograms.
There are some dingbat fonts that would lend themselves beautifully to this technique as they look like stencils anyhow! Roses Roses for example.
If you want to use a traditional light box just cut one stencil!
Have fun playing

I've only had my CR for a few weeks so I'm still very much a beginner at creating my own gsd files. I drew this Rose in CorelDraw to use as a cut out for the front of a card, but it could also be used as a stencil. I resizes very well, but if made too small some bits may be a bit fragile. Feel free to play with it & improve it. This is the first time I've uploaded anything here so there may not be a picture, I haven't worked that bit out yet!

Here are a few simple shapes I made in Inkscape. The buckle will need to be resized depending on the width of your ribbon/paper strip as it is quite large at the moment.

Here they are. The flower with the circle in the middle can be ungrouped so that the circle can be cut in a different colour.

This is another option for a thistle, it is just an outline of a thistle. I used it recently when I made a LO about my sister-in-law who lives in Scotland.

I have been playing with lattice effects in DM and came up with this topper. The picture looks as though I put the flower on the mat wonky but that is a trick of the light as it is on straight. I can't upload a GSD version of this as it did not convert very well.;)

I've got some templates to share.
They're very basic, because they're the first ones I've ever made. Not sure anyone would need them, but I'll post them anyway. I just want to give something back, and this is all I have for now. :)
I've designed them myself, in Robo Master. I've not copied anything.
Do not share with others by mail, messenger programs, discs or anything else. Do not upload on any other websites or share on mail-groups.
It's ok to use them on cards and other things you sell.
This goes for all the files in this thread.

Here is my version of a card for the Marie Curie appeal. I drew the daff in Designmaster and have converted to a GSD. Fits nicely onto the front of an A6 card and is quick to make.

So, what is Spring without Tulips? I've traced some tulips then drew a pot to put them in. On my layout are rik rak and brads that I've had almost since I've started crafting and this is the first time I've used them!
Enjoy tip-toeing through the tulips!!! :D

Hi, as promised the template of the flowers for sewing, thanks to Lucille for all her hard work. I had hoped to upload a photo of the card I made but unfortunately the computer has other ideas at the moment and won't play ball. The templates take a while to cut out but once you have them you could just cut the outline out and prick the sewing holes through the original - hope this makes sense. Anyways we had good fun making them on Friday, the group of ladies I made them with thought it was very therapeutic and relaxing.

I have made a simple flower although I haven't cut it as my robo isn't working at the moment.
Please remember to tell everyone which dingbat you used and where to find it as anyone who doesn't have it installed or open on their 'puter wont be able to see your creation.
I used wildflowers 2 from fonts UK site. To find other dingbats simply google dingbats and you will find lots of sites to make your choice of the free downloads. For anyone who hasn't used dingbats before - they are a great way to make an easy file without hours of drawing and tracing!
Happy "dinging" everyone.
