Hello everybody, after weeks of struggling, I managed something this morning. Couldn't believe my eyes at first .
I needed a card for my friend Lisa who is opening a dress shop today and I made this one for her. It cuts great and I am sooooooooooooo pleased to finally share something with you.
The photo is really bad as the dress, hat ... are light blue and light green, very pretty. But hey, I managed my first template, I can't additionally ask for being a 1st class photographer, can I ? The dress and accessories come from my Sizzix die-cuts.
Of course you will need a friend called Lisa :(, but that's only a start, I guess if I go back to the Inkscape file I should be able to remove the Lisa. Well, hope you like it.
All my thanks to everybody who helped me with their patience, advice and tutorials.

   Shopmo is right, creating templates is addictive like anything.
So I have removed the Lisa firstname. You are now left with a Good luck only. Surely you will have more occasions to use it. For the picture, please refer to my previous posting.

I needed a Good Luck in your driving test card and inspired by Shirley Anne's card I have made this using her cat and her style. On reflection I should have made a square card so that the 'u' wasn't on the L plate, but the benefit of hind sight ...........!
Thank you Shirley for the idea

So sorry I should have said that the font used is called Big Mummy and is free from Dafont
