Hello ladies :D
I wonder if you are all getting fed up with the sketches so thought we might try something a little different this month ;) Remember - this is a 'Just for Fun' challenge :D
What I challenge you all is to make a card or cards using either one, or all of the following items:
Rubber Stamp
Brads
Ribbon
2 different Patterned Papers
If you are feeling really adventurous, you could make a set of four cards using all the above!
So... get the creative juices flowing and lets see what designs you can all come up with for July.
Have fun!
If at the end of July there have been 10 or more cards posted here in this thread, then one lucky person will be chosen as a 'winner' and will receive a little goodie through the post courtesy of Julie at Scrapbooking Castle (http://http://scrapbookingcastle.co.uk/store/)
Thank you Julie for your support of this Fun Challenge.

Do you have to use all 4 items? Or any combination of them. I don't have any stamps.
TraceyJ
06-07-2007, 09:40 AM
Do you have to use all 4 items? Or any combination of them. I don't have any stamps.
Are you sure you haven't got one lying around somewhere? A freebie off a mag?
If not - use something AS a stamp - a button or something? Anything that is raised enough for you to make an impression with.
Enfys
06-07-2007, 09:48 AM
Nope, I don't use them as I don't like them! And I don't have ink either.
If I want something like that on a card, I print it on with the puter. I have made a card with 3 of the elements on, and computer printed text. Would that count?
TraceyJ
06-07-2007, 09:51 AM
You can use felt tip pens to colour something in - you dont need ink pads.
colour the raised motif from "something" - "huff" on it - before aplying to card - this wets the ink again incase it dried out while you are colouring in.
Enfys
06-07-2007, 10:02 AM
OK thanks, will see what I can find that is suitable for this card. Might have to call on a friend for inspiration - and stamps!
Enfys
06-07-2007, 04:40 PM
Thanks for the help!
Ok, I talked very nicely to my friend and she brought me a suitable stamp around, which I coloured in just the middle bit with a felt pen, huffed on it and stamped it in the corner! I also put the whole stamp inside as it says "Happy Birthday". You might reckonise it as it was a free gift with a mag.
I have made a "parcel" from two different papers stuck back to back to make it stiffer and wrapped up a pic of his wifes boobs! We were messing about at Christmas and she undid a button on her blouse and posed behind the bar. I have fudged out the pic as I am sure she doesn't want her cleaveage splashed all over the internet. The tag is held on with a brad and the parcel it tied up with ribbon.
I took the second pic this morning, before I added the stamp.

Great cards everyone :D Thank you all for joining in this fun challenge :D
You dont have to use ALL the elements on one card, you could try making 4 with one element on each :D
Cal, the stamp Kitty used is from Missy B Designs, she does beautiful designs and she delivers to the UK for a reasonable price as well, we should all get together and order!!! lol
Enfys

Now you tell me! After I spent all that time trying to get a stamp!
Tracy, the font is "Felt". It is one of my favourites. I also use "Advert" a lot as its a nice bold one and great for filling with a pic or colour.
If anybody wants the template for the box on the front, I have it about somewhere and can scan it in. I used thick sticky things to stick the pic in as I wanted a box effect.

I made this card a couple of weeks ago minus the brads but thought it would be perfect for a bright July challenge card so added the brads today and I have used everything on the list! I shall be making some more for this challenge as stamping, ribbon, brads and pp are my favourite things to use on a card!! LOL

Finally done my card. Crate paper, with chipboard and a charm on ribbon for the dangley bits, held on with brads. slight cheat, as I haven't used a stamp, as I had the 'baby' printed on the bit of paper that you just push out (can't think what they're called), but could have printed it with a stamp.

Brill cards
Val -love that orange one - is that a "hand drawn" flower you have decoupaged?? Love it - but then i always love your cards!!
Thanks Tracey, you know I was telling you that I can't not be doing something, well, when I am sat in front of the tv I draw flowers then colour them with my Kuretake watercolour brushes and then cut them out. I must have hundreds of them but haven't really used them on anything until now.
The papers were from a free digi kit which I just printed out, but I really like the colours together.

Hi Sharon, thanks for your comments.
The black and white dress stamp is HobbyArt i think, its not mine I borrowed it at a card club, i'm hunting for it myself at the moment as I just love it. The Gold one is a Denami, the 1920's flapper is a Hero Arts (discontinued) and the Vintage one is a Stamps Happen stamp. The script background is again a Hero Arts, I use that one a lot.

I have one dress stamp Josieanne, it is the My Mothers Dress which I think is quite a well known one, haven't used it for ages. But feel really inspired by the spotty dress. I will try and find it as well and let you know if I do.
