Here are the sketches and designs for the June Challenge.

***Dont forget Fathers Day is on 17th June*** - Card No. 4 Could be adapted?

The challenge is if 10 or more people post a card on the Monthly Challenge thread - we do a draw, and the winner will receive a small prize. This might be a sheet of stickers, length of ribbon, or a few brads/buttons etc. Just something small, but worth doing a card for I think and hopefully this will also increase interest and enthusiasm for the Monthly Challenges.

Hope you'll all join me in thanking Julie from The Scrapbooking Castle for her generosity and I for one will certainly be having a go

Thanks Julie

Hope you like them and please, post your cards in this thread when they are done so we can all share.

Thank you for participating in this FUN challenge.

Hi,
I have never taken part in the card challenges, do you just pick one of the above cards to base your card on?

Thanks,
Jenny

Sorry for being a bit thick - I've never done one before! Do we make cards based on the 2 sketches on your 2nd post?

Janice

Hi ladies :D

the idea is that you take the examples in my first post, and make your cards using those shown as inspiration :D I posted the sketches in the second post to show how the designer had used the sketch to make her cards :D

Nice challenge, I shall enjoy this one. I've just sorted all my ribbons, so I must make myself use some (rather than just stroking them) for that second sketch!

Really chuffed to have won last month's prize, and looking forward to my little package. Thanks ++ to Julie, and also to Janice for organising the challenge and the forum

Yipeee, I had loads of fun with this and I used one of my cute sets from an american company called Stampin Up called Very Punny, I love this cute little frog and just had to use him. This card is tiny its just 8cm by 10cm

Here is my take on that card aswell, its for my friends 50th on Tuesday. The papers are from a freebie digi paper pack designed by Jennifer Barrette, the flowers are papermania, and the sticky ric rac is Anitas. TFL:)

I'm not really a cardmaker, but i came across this thread, and thought i'd have ago. I got this paper from SM for having a LO published, i've no idea who makes it, but when i saw the little houses on it, i thought it would be great for a new home card. I turned sketch2 around and changed things a bit.
Thanks for inspiring me to have ago. Here is my card, be kind :) .

Tracey - I love your card - I can't believe you say you're not really a card maker! It is unusual but really funky and I love the papers you used!

It is worth all the hassle and stress of moving house just to get this card at the end of it all!

Hi

Thank you. I did use a stamp for the happy birthday - it was one that came free with last months Papercraft Inspirations. Its the first time I have used it and it stamped very nicely. Other supplies were Basic Grey Blush papers - and I am sorry but I cant remember where I got the paper for the flowers.

I want to have a go at the two semi circles one ... all I need is some time!

Look forward to seeing more of the beautiful cards you all make

craftymama
27-06-2007, 06:57 PM
Lovely cards Joy, I agree that paper used on the first one is just gorgeous.

Heres another of my attempts. I've used K&Co daffodil plaid paper and then mounted a fabric square on mountboard and frayed the edges, what doesnt show on the scan is that I have used Sakura Stardust pens to add a subtle sparkly highlight to the centres, some petals and some leaves. Really pleased with the effect IRL.
