problem with colour in photoshop?

Hi i am trying to do a layout in ps cs2 and i pick the colour pink /or red eg, and when it fills it the box is grey? so is the swatch which shows my backgroend and foreground colours! any ideas what is wrong? thanks for your help Donnasx

Hi Kirsty, sorry no i dont have messenger perhaps i should invest in that too! seems every time i try to do something in photoshop it all goes so well than something just stumps me!what have i done this time? haha!
