best advice i can give is just to play with it! as you get more confident with what things do you can expand on the things you use. sorry this isnt much help but photoshop does too much to tell you everything.

my advice is to get a book, the dummies range are good, once you learn one photoshop it is easy to use any so the book can be a constant help.

also, look onto actions on the web, most are free and make editing easier in most cases.
