Here are the sketches and designs for the April Challenge.

Julie from www.scrapbookingcastle.co.uk has suggested that at the end of each month, if 10 or more people have posted a card on the Monthly Challenge thread - we do a draw, and the winner will receive a small prize. This might be a sheet of stickers, length of ribbon, or a few brads/buttons etc. Just something small, but worth doing a card for I think and hopefully this will also increase interest and enthusiasm for the Monthly Challenges.

Hope you'll all join me in thanking Julie for her generosity and I for one will certainly be having a go

Thanks Julie

We have 4 different designs to work with this month so I hope you think I have something for everyone's tastes. Bit of stamping, some ribbons, flowers, cutesy and even a 'male' look :D

They are from:

Becky Fleck Pagemaps
Doodlebug Designs
Bazzill Basics
Hero Arts

Hope you like them and please, post your cards in this thread when they are done so we can all share.

Thank you for participating in this FUN challenge.

So you make a card according to the template as opposed to a theme, is that right?

Sonia

Hi Sonia

The idea is that you take the samples/examples/sketches and go with the inspiration it gives you - either the design, the theme, the colours - anything to get the creative'ness flowing and more cards in your box :D

Lovely card Julie :D

I was playing with bear die cuts over the weekend, and here are some baby cards I made, using the 4th example as inspiration - basically the landscape orientation and the double mat. I thought it would be difficult to get the bears looking cute, as I'm not very good at all with chalks, but it was surprisingly simple, which made me happy! The flower jewel in the bear's hair is actually pink, though the scan has made it look greenish.

Gorgeous cards Nat, those bears look adorable.

Thanks, Jac. I avoid cutesy in most of my crafting, but I can really indulge it when it comes to baby cards - I love making them.

Love that last card of yours, and it's given me a great idea to use up the epoxy stickers from the poundland albums I got - thanks!

Funnily enough Nat that is what those epoxy stickers are from! I bought all 3 album kits yesterday - well at £1 each it would have been daft not to!

Yey - after a long absence, below is my contribution. The fact that I've missed the birthday in question already, but we might see them tomorrow, meant I needed a little inspiration, and thought I'd combine it with the challenge! I will try and do a few more.
The 40 and the strip are in strange plastic that make your eyes go funny - if that makes sense!

Hi,

Just seen this thread, I have been on my hols recently and have lost my inspiration. But after seeing this thread and the lovely cards made already, I think I can feel it coming back. I must try and make some cards, unfortunately out all today.

Thank you so much for re-inspiring me.

These were flower heads from a bunch of flowers bought from the £1.00 shop. There were 5 flowers with 5 layers on bargin. I stamped one of the flower heads with stazon and a medallion stamp
