I have been looking at various packages for ages and I really can't make up my mind. I've delayed putting it off because I'm worried I'll buy one thing and then find something better (it's a real headache). I've also tried to download a few trial versions (like Photoshop Elements) without success. I even bought a new PC so that I would be able to do digi scrapping.

Could someone recommend a good software package for digi scrapping which will allow me to do some basic scrapbook layouts but has the capability to do more advanced scrapping as I get used to it (without purchasing expensive upgrades). I'm pretty au fait with most windows packages so I think I would pick it up quite quickly and I don't want anything too basic.

I'm also into fantasy art and I like recent pictures I've seen that have glitter effects added to them - does anyone know how this is done?

I'd really appreciate any feedback please. Thank you in advance.

I haven't got it but from what I have seen PSE5 is the best value for most benefits at the moment. Lots and lots of tutorials around for free too.

Pse 5 comes with some ready made layouts so you could get started with these to learn the basics

Hey thanks Ladies, i've actually managed to download a trial of PSE since I posted the initial question - I'm just having a play at the moment. I'm going to go and see if I can find some tutorials here. Thanks all for getting back to me, it was really helpful.
