this may be stupid but what is !matte gel medium" i've seen it mentioned in many sites on altered art but just what is it? i think it may some kind of glue:wacko: do i need it:unsure:

Is it the matte version of modge podge?? ;) Maybe someone else knows......

yes it is , altho i find it better when its dried . You can also mix paint with it etc

It's original use was as an extender to acrylic paint, allowing your paint to last longer without drying. It is also used as a sealant and adhesive, usually on acrylic painted projects but can be use instead of mod podge for decoupage. And transfer technique as mentioned.
