January Week 1 Card Challenge

Here is the first challenge for 2007!

I am sure we all have lots of Thank You cards to make, so how about this as a simple starter....

Lets see what you come up with :D

LOL - you post a picture in this thread so we can all see your creation, and then you either use it or save it. I find I make cards 'last minute' most of the time, so these challenges help me to build up a 'reserve' of cards :D

i find i have alot of cards but nowhere to send them!!!! i do workshops at work and usaully end up with cards that really aren't my 'thing' coz i have to do different things to apeel to my customers!!!!!

I know what you mean - I have some from classes I've taught and stuff for magazines etc. I have just kept them in a box 'just in case' LOL

I sometimes bundle up half a dozen or so and send them to my Mother in Law - she loves them. In fact, when we visited her this Christmas she has about 4 Christmas cards of mine standing on her mantle shelf. I said to her that I didnt remember sending her all of them over past Christmas's and she replied....... "you didnt, they were in that box of stuff you gave me, I loved them so kept them to put out" :lol: :lol: Bless her!

Yes they are the same! They sell the cards for Marie Curie and made loads of money last year :D

I saw some empty bags when I was in a crafts central yesterday. I was trying so hard not to spend any money that I did not check it out properly!
BTW.. I was successful - went to a craft shop and did not spend one penny!

Here's mine - I received my new KI stamps the other day so thought it was time for a play - perfect challenge for that eh? hehe :D

Bit on the bright side but it gets rid of those post-Christmas blues.

Here's my thank you card. It's in Welsh as the ones I sent were in Welsh and Diolch means Thank You.

They were cut on the Craft Robo and I hand cut Junkitz flowers from the paper and a button

Are we meant to make a Thank You card inspired by the one as the Example, like a type of card map, or Just a Simple Thank You Card.

The idea is to inspire/encourage you to make a card - using the example as inspiration. You can go with a direct copy of the example, or go with the flow :D It is really just a challenge to get us making cards.

There isnt a competition - its just for fun.

Now and again I might offer up a little prize from my own stash but this is all just for fun :D

Ta, its ok I had realised it was just for Fun, I like these type of challenges as it give me a reason to do something, to many time I don't get round to it, these are great for a little Push :D . I made a card last night using a card map, just for Fun to :D, its great when others are working on the same theme to share ideas.
Right time for a coffee, not so sure I will get chance to finish a card tonight, but we shall see :)
