stitching help

Can anyone tell me how to create stitching for digital layouts? I want to create my own and not to use a downloaded one if possible! I have tried but not had much luck so far, I just keep getting confused :wacko:

Try using a dotted line and embossing it (what programme do you use? and does it have the facility to emboss?)I use Serif page plus and although its not a perfect representation of stitching its quite good.

Thanks for that, I will give it a go and see how I get on. I am using PSE5, which is great. I have only just upgraded from PSE3, so am still getting used to some of the changes! Thank you for your help :D
