I just want to let my Santa know not to get upset, there's no need for you to apologise for RM lol, I've had a lot of trouble with post this year.. for instance, we've had the phones cut off 3 times because we haven't received the bills in time. It's not your fault so please don't feel bad, it'll turn up. {{{}}}

Awww Jem, that's really disappointing that your parcel still hasn't arrived. Royal mail seem to be suffering already with the christmas post so goodness only knows what they will be like later in the month.

Sue that is lovely that Dh and DS are joining in too. i thought about doing something for my DD's but didn't think about DH. Maybe next year.

Glad you are enjoying your goodies so far. Especially the cuppa. Did you have the drink and read your mag like I suggested? Did DH join you for a browse or did you get left in peace???

The goodies get more exciting.......

I've checked with the sorting office and been told it's not there, but my usual postie was back today so I've asked him to check at the sorting office for me.

I don't live in the wilds, but my house is through a gate, and people who've lived in the area all their life don't realise it's there, (they only see the bungalow opposite) so temp postal workers have no chance :(.

A message for my Secret Santa
A little birdie tells me that Santa is very upset and sad that my parcel hasn't arrived and isn't having as much fun as she should be having. It is absolutely not your fault that the parcel has gone missing and as it is Christmas and a very happy time of the year I am ordering you (bossy boots aren't I?) to not worry and to enjoy your advent pressies. I'm having such a chaotic time at the moment (good stuff though, I'm on the PTA at school and we just had the childrens disco and we have a lot more stuff happening in the next few weeks) that I honestly haven't even had time to stress about it, so you shouldn't either. Christmas is a time of miracles and it will turn up soon, either here or at Anita's. Please don't let it sour the fun you should be having because then I will be sad too!

Santa is very pleased to see that you are using his Advent goodies. The LO you have created using the "too good to blow your nose on" tissues is fab!!
If Santa is very clever he will try to post a link so that your LO will get shown off to all the other Advent Swappers (but don't hold your breath!! only used to elf technology!!)

HO HO HO SMIFFY73

I hope you are enjoying your presents :D

I have to say though that you will shortly gets to a present (about no 11 I think?) where we have had a bit of an elf mix up! The clue is something like "when you know me you can send me one back" and it is small and flat - a very silly elf that created this item foolishly completed the back without thinking and put their name on it!! :o Do you think you can resist the temptation not to look on the back or do you think you should swap it for a number further down the line when you might have guessed who I am - I leave it up to you

Santa I am thoroughly enjoying my parcels. In previous years I have got up before everyone else in the morning and opened my present in peace but my 2 girls are enjoying rummaging through the box for the right present and watching me opening it (ideally they would like to open it themselves but that's taking it a step too far!!) so I am having to wait until after work and school.

I have a sneaky feeling I might know who you are but I could be way off. I will wait until nearer day 11 to decide what to do about the tempting present.

Thank you sooooooo much for everything so far, you are really brightening up my days:wub:

Hi girlies

Despite the best of efforts of Jem and her Santa there has been no luck tracking down her advent parcel that was sent a whole week before the final date via recorded delivery..... this has been so frustrating , especially as I know that Jem's Santa had put a lot of effort into her parcel and poor Jan (Jem) has been so patient whilst every one else has been opening theres... anyway I know some of you mentioned that if any parcels went missing that you wouldnt mind helping out.... so this is a little plea to help me get together enough pressies for Jan so that she can enjoy the swap as much as she can , along with the rest of us.
Jems Santa has kindly offered to get together 5 parcels I can do 4-5 as well so if there are 15-16 volunteers out there that could put a small gift in the post ASAP please could you let me know, they would be sent direct to Jan and to save any confusion do not need to be numbered or anything as I am sure Jan wont mind choosing a little package to open for each day she has missed and for the future days. Jans Santa has very kindly offered to send anyone who helps a little something in the new year although I am sure most of you wont feel this is necessary!

I hope you dont mind me asking this of the group and of course only volunteer if you are more than happy to do so, please PM me and I will get back to you ASAP later today.

Thanks again

Sorry girls for being late have just posted today - 10th day of christmas thread.

Yep in our group it was just the 1 parcel , I know of one in another group and one out of 2 in another group (but that could be a sender problem) so yes not too bad ... I guess there is a slight chance that some parcels may still turn up as I believe Jem's was very late being delivered last year but have had to ask the above favour of everyone as time is dashing on through DCecember now...

Thanks ever so much to all of those who have offered help , more since my last post , if we could just get 2 more to help with one little parcel each that would be so fantastic.

10th day of christmas is here (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/boards/showthread.php?t=142339) by the way.

I'm a bit sad cos my swap has hardly ever posted up what she got or if she liked it - getting worried now -have I boobed big time and got her things she doesn't like?? - but have looked at the postings and there are quite a few days where lots of people haven't posted up what they got.
Thats always been the best bit of the swap for me -waiting to see if my swapee liked her pressie.
So come on folks - it only takes a couple of minutes to pop a few words up. B)

Hi Santa

Thanks for posting this , I did start going through the list on friday night to see who has been posting and who not as I wanted to make sure that everyone is happy, I have inly got about half way through at the moment though (family stuff/ christmas has got in the way this weekend) , will try and carry on working form the list later, and yes as Santa says it only takes a couple of words to let your Santa know you appreciate your pressie, if any of you have any problems though do let me know.

Hi ladies, I just want to thank you all!
The past few days have been a bit {insert bad word here}. It's been pointed out to me that my post may not in fact be getting lost as there seems to be a pattern of cards, parcels etc going missing amongst the bills, having the phone cut off for not paying the bill tends to distract you from the fact that one of the kids birthday cards containing £10 or £20 hasn't turned up, but when I sat down and worked out what has gone missing in the past 15 months it makes your eye's pop. Then on Saturday we went shopping and a woman slapped TJ for running round the shop, I felt guilty because I'd taken my eye's off them and although I was fuming she hit him what was racing through my mind was the fact that I didn't see any of this so what else I could have missed didn't bare thinking about.
I've been in a foul mood the past couple of days but finding the envelopes really brought a smile to my face, so a huge thank you!

one had a clue about lofty heights, the other had kidsallowed.com on it, I'll post here so people know they've arrived safely but fingers crossed after I've phoned the fraud department tomorrow no more of my post will be going walkabout.

(((hugs))) Jem - I hope all the little parcels make it through to you then. It does sound suspicious that there is a pattern there - hope you get something sorted out. And don't beat yourself up about the shop incident - we all take our eyes off them now and again - they run too blooming fast for us to keep up all the time  I would be furious if anyone touched my kid for whatever reason - if she had an issue she should have spoken to you about it. Hope some more little parcels turn up soon to cheer you up :D

Morning ladies, 3 more arrived this morning, one a special delivery pizza box from SK7. It arrived at 7.15 this morning, which was extremely good timing as no-one set an alarm last night and we were all still in bed asleep  The other two were a parcel with LM6 on the postage paid label and the address in red ink and a really cute elf sticker on it, the other was a board backed envelope and as I couldn't read the postcode I've peeked inside and can see a plastic baggy with something wrapped in green tissue paper.

Thank you ladies :)

Hope you enjoy!!

Thanks Santa I found that out earlier when I went to put the others in the box I didn't have a proper nose though so I'll open it properly tomorrow :)

I phoned Royal Mail today and was fuming when I got off the phone, RM basically says they can't do anything about any post other than SD! Did you know that if a temp can't find an address the post goes back to the sorting office where it'll go out the next day and if the address isn't found that time it's classed as undeliverable, and shredded!!! Even with a return address!! Only RD or SD is returned to sender, because of the *massive amount* of undeliverable mail per day!!! Unbelievable,

The woman from RM drove me nuts, I felt like offering her a brain cell to keep her lonely one company!

RM's security team will be looking into my missing post and checking if there's a pattern in this area, I'm not holding my breath though, at least my old regular postie seems to be back at the moment, fingers crossed he's back for good!

Hey ...surely that woman cant be right about shredding the mail, thats peoples property .... goodness I can imagine you must just have been very disgusted with them .... grrrr .... if only some other company was able to offer them some competition ...

Thanks again to everyone who's helping out with parcels for Jem.

Just want to let Leslie know an envelope turned up yesterday, I'm really sorry I didn't get online to let you know but it's chaos in my house. Thank you :)

I haven't bought a single present yet! Steve's booked Monday off so we can go and do all the present shopping in one hit, we are going to do a complete list shop by shop and then spend the day working down the list!

I've now got the kids manky cold to top it all off it never rains but it pours lol, I put TJ to bed last night at 8 thinking I'll pop on UKS as soon as I've got him to sleep and woke up at 5am,

On Tuesday a special delivery note was popped through the door, Steve picked it up for me yesterday, it was from NP26 sorry I didn't let you know earlier but I'm flat out and didn't even have time to eat yesterday, literally!

This morning there's been loads of stuff delivered, including bills lol. There was an envelope posted on the 19th, I can't see a postmark it has a first class stamp on and the pressie is wrapped in silver paper. There was a padded white envelope from CF31 and also a brown envelope from Anita.

Thank you ladies, you've really brightened my day up :) {{{{{{}}}}}}}

Sorry Anita. These are the things I opened on Christmas day.. heart and star eyelets with heart shapes and heart toppers.. a black peel off alpha sticker set with AMM expressions play, laughter etc... a set of holographic alpha bubbles and a gorgeous decorated notebook, I'm sure I posted each time something arrived but just in case I forgot this set they were all wrapped in gold paper. Whoever sent them I love them all And I want to thank everyone who stepped in to help out, the pressies really cheered me up.
