I have found my new fave Kit from the US - the November Kit was the first one to go on sale. It shipped last Friday and arrived today.
Can I say BLOOMIN and MARVELLOUS???
Seriously - if the contents of the November are an indicator of what else is to come then I am gonna sign up for a whole year. And I can tell you already that there is MEGA US STAR siged up to supply product for their January Kit AND she will be the Guest Designer for that month too.
Tricia, the owner is such a doll and lived in the UK for quite some time, so she knows what problems we can get with customs, so she will be keeping an eye out for all of us who buy from her.
What I love about the November Kit is the Hambly Overlay, The 12 x 12 Fancy Pants chipboard, the 7Gypsies book, the rub ons, the papers, the blossoms....erm can you see I am already addicted.
I tell you - go check it out. You know how to get to her site all the w's cocoadaisy and then dot com :P
If you like what you see, let her know I sent you

Ooh, I remember looking at this and falling in love with it after Kristina Contes was raving about it on her blog - I seem to remember it saying it was sold out when I checked but it dosn't say that any more? Hmm...it's so prettyful...how much (with shipping) did it come to in £s? (if you don't mind me asking!) :)

If I am honest, I don't remember - it just went straight out of my savings together with something else. But the shipping label said $15.95 and the Kit itself was $29.95, so it was £18.94...cool hu?

I've just ordered the November kit - it looks wonderful
There are a whole range of postage options including a $6 surface mail option, which you would need to wait for but knocks £5 off the price
I paid $15 something post but it still looks great value

I've just gone for this too. I got $14 shipping this time but will probably have the surface mail this next time (i think ive already assumed i'll be signing up for this again!).
Thanks for letting us know about this kit Kimmy, can't wait to play:D
KimmyS
23-11-2006, 09:16 PM
quinnan - you do know that surface mail takes approx 2 months, I hope? That's why it's so cheap as they bung it on the next available ship that'll go the the UK. I would never choose that option, because it's not really worth the difference in price, me thinks.
Just a heads up for everyone as well - the January Kit will be very much sought after. Ali Edwards is a very good friend of Cocoa Daisy's Owner, Tricia, and she is not only the Guest DT for January but is also supplying exclusive product for the Kit...I can't wait!!!

Yeah i know how long surface mail is. But if i carry on buying kits the way i have been (have a few from you, signed up for OPAAT, and a couple from other places) i wont actually have any time to use them till them anyway
And it will be a nice surprise when i have totally forgotten all about them and then they turn up

Just in case anyone wonders. Each Kit is shipped on the 10th of the month if it was ordered by the 8th. Obviously if you order after the 10th it will go immediately

I've got the kit too - it's fab - nice selection of papers and bits :) I'm ordering December's as well even though I do not need any more Christmas papers.
I agree that Tricia's customer service is great.
There's also a couple of very yummy layouts posted on the site by one Kimmy! They are really nice - might have to try to scraplift the one where you used the fabric as a mat.

The lovely Tricia has just replied to my email, and supposedly when the site crashed orders still went through, despite them saying they hadn't. So, if like me, lots of people kept on trying, they'll all have ended up with multiple kits! Tricia is going to void the multiples, so I should imagine that additional kits will be available...

It looks excellent value for money and even though I LOVE my other american kit - I am fed up with their website etc - so thinking how professional this one is run I may end up subscribing...

Hi
I subscribed last month for the first time. What happens this month, do I need to go in and put my order through with cc details or will they automatically take the payment out of my account? Sorry to be a bit dim but can't seem to see the info on the site. :)

It depends how long you subbed for. If you just bought it as a one off then you will need to go to the site and redo it but if it was for 3 or 6 months then they will just take the money.

I've just signed up for a 3 month sub in place of my Jenni Bowlin kit. I had the January ( Ali E ) kit. The June kit is gorgeous. I'm hoping I may have subbed in time to get one of the owl transparencies. Apart from the kit OI have gone for the cardstock add-on. Very tempted by the other add-ons too, but managed to resist.

I had loads of ideas for the kit before it arrived. Now its here it seems to nice to cut into  . The postage mark from the US says the 6th June, so they were sent out earlier than I thought ( I had the 10th in my mind for some reason ).

Hiya everyone! I see this is the place to go if you have a love of Cocoa Daisy - which I think I do, I'm seriously considering getting a 3month sub but first I have 2 questions. I had a quick look on the site, no doubt I'm missing the glaringly big section that has the answers, but could you help me?
1) What postage/shipping option do you go for? How long does it take to arrive?
2) How do you go about ordering add-ons if you've already subbed? Do you see them on the 1st when they're released then add them to your order? Do you pay extra shipping?
Lol, ok, *technically* I guess that's more than just the 2 questions!
Thanks in advance for any help!

I didn't realise there wwas more than one option with the shipping. It usually comes around 15th or a few days later.
If you email Tricia she will be able to add any add ons you want to your order without having to go through the checkout bit. Not sure about the extra shipping.
gaia_uk
12-07-2007, 05:49 PM
oh. When I had a look earlier there was $15, $24 and $34 options (or there abouts!) I guess the less you pay the longer it would take. I think the time option for the cheapest was 'varies' - took 2 months last I ordered a parcel with that option!
I guess $24 would be safer, you know, get the kit while your still inspired to use it
Thanks for replying. I'll go ahead with the sub and email if there are any yummy extras next month :)

Hi all, just found this thread but I discovered Cocoa Daisy a while back and really love the kit but concerned about ordering from US. How much does the shipping cost? Do you have to pay customs? I noticed that the latest kit price has gone up and thought that might affect customs payments :-/

Was there supposed to be cardstock in this kit? It's not on the supply list but the card add-on says something like extra sheets of the the kit stuff (obviously put a bit better than that!)
CloClo - I think this kit was a bit more expensive because of the clear album you get with it (I think Ali Edwards kit was the same). I subbed for 3 months and last months (with shipping @ $24 I think) came to about £21 in total. This months was about £28.
I didn't get caught for customs as Tricia is lovely and put the regular kit price - without shipping - on the shipping label which is way under (well, $10 ish?) the customs limit.
Tis such a lovely kit, I just wish I could have got some of the extras but they were all sold out by the time I could get on there, even though it was still the day of release! :(
I know what you mean about the clear album - trying to come up with an idea to do it justice! Did you check out what Kristina Contes did with hers in the gallery and on her blog? You can get 2 albums out of 1 if you don't mind the back not being see through (which I don't...mostly cos I'm cheap )

Crafty Kacy
19-08-2007, 10:42 PM
Yes that would be including shipping. The dollar price is so good at the minute you can pretty much just half it, then add shipping. So my August kit was $40 + £16 shipping (approx) = £56 = £28 (approx).

Got mine yesterday. I absolutely love it but I am swimming in stash at the moment so have decided to sell it before I get too attached to it.
I've just put a post in the marketplace.

Haven't touched this month's kit yet, but here's a LO I did today using the August kit. I love the colours in this kit.

Thank you Kerry I am very excited, I need to not love it too much or I will need to buy it each month, but then again I might lose weight if I can't afford to eat and drink!

Got mine too. It's fab isn't it? Glad I ordered the cardstock add-on though as there's none in the actual kit. I like the stamp thingy, the brads and the circles best I think!

Got mine today.
It was funny because I was on the site earlier and the Dec kit sneak is up and I was thinking 'but I haven't even got my Nov kit yet!' half hour later...:D
I wasn't sure if I would like this one. Still not 100% about it, but it has some lovely bits in it, subscribers special and the thickers being 2 of them :). Oh, and those circle stickers. *really * not sure about the 7 gypsies stamp though. Think I'll prob sell that on.
Next months sounds yummy - I was reading the description thinking 'oh i was going to buy that, and that...and that...' and so on
If anyone bought the exclusive Fonterks stamp set and doesn't want it I'll buy it from them. It was sold out by the time I ordered my kit.:(:(

I got a kit from here and the service was wonderful, really brilliant can't praise her enough. It was a one off pressie but I really wish I could subscribe. It was the Dec kit and I love it to pieces!

I bought the January cocoa daisy kit last month but I'm just not loving this one - I guess its good that you can dip in and out when you want them. I've decided I might go back and get a few add ons for the January kit for scrapping my photos of Italian holidays!

Yes I've done a lot of dipping in and out, though I did take a 3 month sub last summer.

ive been a bit disapointed with the last two - having never been to paris (yet) the last kit felt a bit one tracked. I like the latest but my sub is up and ive found something new to spend the money on lol TROLLBEADS!! lol

I decided to buy last Aprils kit with an addon while they were 30% off - I know its not exactly up to date releases but I preferred it to the latest kit - just don't know what to do with all this felt which is so popular at the moment. I've made a layout with lots of felt in the past but it feels like there is only so much you can do with it!

It was about 5pm in the afternoon UK time I think.....hopefully someone else will confirm??
Tricia is perhaps away, as usually she is prompt to reply. It may be worth resending your message just in case it hasn't got through.

Hiya - I'm just wondering about this Ali E kit ... is it a travel based one? I think you may have had a sneak peek?
If so, can you tell from the pictures if it's full of MM Passport at all? I'm wrestling with my inner scrap shopper over this one - if it is full of Passport, I won't neeeeed it, but I might just WANT it, lol. I already have Passport stuff coming, so I really shouldn't if it is. Rambling now. Will stop. Any help gratefully received.
... do I really want a 6 month sub?! ... dilemma!
dancingqueen
18-06-2008, 02:59 PM
hia, no, its not full of the passport line. if you want the passport line, the scarlet lime june kit IS full of it (and i think there are still single kits left to buy).
flapjack
18-06-2008, 05:02 PM
Thanks dancingqueen. It was Scarlet Lime that made me look at the Passport stuff in the first place. I am going to have to stop hanging around in these threads . Maybe if I subscribe to Cocoa Daisy, I'll spend less... (good excuse, eh?!).
Thanks so much, Lx

One more question - how long do the kits take to arrive if you have first class mail. Just roughly! We move on the 24th July and I'm just wondering which address to put in for delivery. I've stuck with the Manchester one for now, but as we're moving to Bristol, it could be a bit tricky!! Must remember to get the mail re-directed actually!!
Thanks in advance!

Ali E has just put some projects done with the July kit up on her blog - the mini album looks interesting, glad I asked for it to be added to the order. Can't wait for this kit to arrive.

Thanks, off for a look... that album looks gorgeous. I love bright red. I don't think I can get it though, as I have mini-books coming out of my ears! I seem to have a weakness for them . Just got some other USA goodies (October Afternoon and Passport), so I'm really excited to move and get my own little room now... who am I kidding, when will I have time . Can't wait to get this kit, because I subscribed late, I didn't get the e-mails, but I managed somehow to track down where they are all uploaded online. It looks gorgeous. I'll have to dig out the honeymoon photos!

My kit arrived today and I got the album add-on.
But all I got was the tinkering ink acrylic/chipboard book and instructions. Nothing else to complete the project.
Before I make a fool of myself with an email, is this all there was or should Ihave got the pages and handle too. They are metion in the instructions but not the additional supplies list!
TIA
BTW...rest of the kit is lush!!! :D
