Don't worry Polgara, there's still loads of time yet. (Well that's what I'm telling myself anyway  ) I haven't properly started yet. I live 3/4 of an hour from a good scrapping shop and I have to rely on my other half to take me anywhere that's more than 20 minutes away. (Still getting over an op.)
I'm going to try to get some bits online, but I'm still trying to find the definitive 'one stop scrapping shop' Anyone got any recommendations??? Please

I did my shopping yesterday using 3 webstores (2 free postage, one cheap, lol). I've bought my edibles in the supermarket too. Just have a smellie to get but will need to get to town on a toddler free day for that. Definitely used up my allowance now so I have made a page kit from stash and am in the midst of a few handmade goodies.

I hope that I have been able to help who ever is getting mine, must admit to editing the post about 3 times already.
I keep looking at what the sponsers are selling and have made a short list of things I would like to buy.

I have a few things sorted, I think I am going to go over budget technically, but I have a few things that were given to me that I already have, so in cold hard cash I will be in budget. I knew I kept hold of duplicates for a reason!
My likes and dislikes are in my profile, theres not a huge amount to go on but I don't know where to start but whoever my Secret Santa is, I'm sure it will be fabby! I found it easier to put dislikes in, and anything else goes!

Never mind, I have done my best, just hope she likes it all - I have now to make all the bits I am gonna make.......could be interesting, best laid plans and all that.......

:lol:Santa must get tired writing out all the same questions for all us good girls :lol:
I do like ribbon and use lots and lots. I found I was a bit short of greens, browns and oranges when I looked in the box last night. I like the darkers shades not brights though. And am a bit short on patterned ribbon.
Don't know what I would do with an altered snowman :D I have dabbled in altering things. I make a lot of albums from scratch and love altering card and paper into star books, mini books, tag books. Mainly becuase I am running out of space to store all the 12 x 12 LOs
Thanks Santa

If so, he is willing to swap them either for some xmas blonde moments paper or anything else they want that he might have. If ANYONE can help, can you PM your host and she will then get in touch with me and then I will contact you by PM and we can arrange a swap! phew, that was complex!
Hope someone might be able to help......

Hola!
Here's me :P
1) what adhesives do you regulary use?
herma, double sided tape, glue pens
2)what is your fav brand of ink/paint/chalk?
I haven't really tried enough inks to have a favourite, but I do like the pigment ones as they are great for embossing. I've only got a versamark watermark pad, a black versamark pad, one pink cat's eye and a set of spectrum chalk inks
3)what are your favourite journalling pens?
Again, I've not tried enough to have a favourite, but I do like anything with a fine nib. I've got a set of sakura souffle pens and a few gel pens.
4)if you could pick only one patterned paper manufacturer who would it be?
Basic Grey
5)do you use stamps in your scrapping....either foam, wooden, or unmounted?
Yep
6)favourite colour of brads?
all colours...

1) what adhesives do you regularly use? CM photo tabs (great under vellum), CM photo tape/double sided tape, herma permenant when it comes in my kit.
2)what is your fav brand of ink/paint/chalk?

3)what are your favourite journalling pens?
American Craft 0.5 & 0.3 black
4)if you could pick only one patterned paper manufacturer who would it be?
No idea sorry! I've been a member of ScrapGoods for the last three years to get me to use more patterned paper, it's worked but I don't tend to go outside of the kits they supply (www.scrapgoods.com if you want to see - I've skipped the June/July/Aug kits and loved the Sept).
5)do you use stamps in your scrapping....either foam, wooden, or unmounted?
Oh yes! Foam, acrylic, magnetic, wooden mounted.... haven't managed to remember to buy those little blocks but love 'em all anyhow.
6)favourite colour of brads?
all colours... mini rather than huge and mostly black/white/silver/gold/pewter/copper, although I've been trying to find some Bazzill Hillary trio and Browns trio for ages for the section & title pages for my library albums. Otherwise I love them and will find a use for them :)

Dear Santa
Just incase you're looking.
I use lots of double sided tape in my LOs and things. I've always fancied a try of Modge Podge but would need some instructions on what to use it for.
I prefer brads rather than eyelets and would love some plain coloured ones. I've lots of gold and silver and pewter coloured ones already.
I've been looking for some coloured staples for my standard WH Smith stapler which takes standard 10/4 size staples.
I don't have a chimney I hope that won't stop Santa visiting me :(
Polgara
04-11-2006, 08:29 PM
Santa would like POLGARA to know that he is watching you to check you have been good!!
Have you written a letter to Santa yet this year? He needs to know what you would like?
Hi Santa - I've been a terrible good girl this week - well, at least until today when I went shopping for my swap partner and extra stuff for me just sort of fell into my basket
My likes and dislikes are in my profile -but to expand a bit.
I was looking at lots of patterned ribbon today that was just yummy.
I like bright colours - have been using lots of florals recently. Primas and blossoms are still a big hit with me - usually attatched with brads. Have just spents lots of BG rhomani paper. I love alphabets - stamps, stickers - can never have enough. Happy to have christmas stuff - have stocked up on BG fruitcake today.
Am still scrapping the disneyland paris pictures.
I make cards from time to time and cross stitch when on holiday and cut off from my paper crafts
I like bubble bath - body shop or lush usually. No shower here! Chocolate has to be milk prefereably cadburies :) No alcohol.
Hope this helps

Thanks Santa - you've made my day (how CAN a grown-up mother of 2 get that excited by getting a message AND A COMPLIMENT from Santa?!)
I've filled in the handmade poll now (how did I miss that one?!) & yes I love ribbons, although I seem to be better at stroking them & winding them onto ribbonwraps than using them! I use them more in minibooks & little projects like that than in LOs I think. Love sheer ribbongs, don't have much twill but don't know why cos I think it's rather nice.
Hope that helps, Santa. Enjoy your pint!

Santa would like to know if you have any die cutting machines, if you don't (or even if you do!) whether you like die cuts (inc alphabets) and also, what adhesive you favour!?
Us elves have been watching you all year and know that you have been very good! We're sure you're going to love the treats Santa has prepared for you!
Mr Chris Mouse
Head Elf, Investigative Dept.
Hello Santa :D I dont have a die cutting machine anymore, used to have but didnt use it enough to justify keeping it. I love alphabets of all kinds but tend not to use a lot of other die cuts. I use tags though. I use a lot of double sided tape, diamond glaze and have just recently tried herma (not convinced on that one maybe should have got repo!!!!) I'm sure I'll love all my pressies :)

H0 HO HO AND A MERRY RUN UP TO CHRISTMAS TO YOU
bumpybecky
blimey Santa you ask hard questions! here goes....
Would you be so kind as to tell me your husband's name and the names of your pets dont worry if you dont want these details made public just tell marge and she will pass it on to me
DH is Jim, the dog is Treacle, the cats are Einstein (black and white), Salsa (ginger one) and Deci - short for Decibel - she's noisy! (tortoishell)
What flavours do you like the most for example coconut vanilla raspberry cinnimmon liquorish pear apple peanut walnut almond cherry to name but a few
I love cinnamon and liquorish (not together though!), like raspberry, coconut, apples, pear, peanut, and not so keen on cherry or walnuts. Almonds are tricky - I like the nuts, but hate marzipan, bakewell tart etc - hope that's not confusing!
If you could choose two inkpad colours what would they be
I use chocoaltey brown quite a bit and also pink, but already have those. If I were to be buying two more I'd go for red and dark green for all the Christmas LOs I'm planning (I'm hoping to do Shimelle's Christmas course)
what is your favorite season
not sure I have one! I'm not a hugely outdoorsy person - hayfever in summer and not a fan of getting cold and wet! I do have a lot of summer holiday photos to scrap though if that helps!
If you could only use four colours in your scrapping what would they be
that would be torture! I've just looked through my gallery figuring if there was a lot of something it shows I must use it lots! I seem to use lots of pink, light pinks and bright pinks, quite often with green (pastels and brights) and my fave colour is purple :) to be honest I've got quite a bit of stash and anything you buy will go with something I have already :D
and what patterned paper would you choose if you could only have one
that is such a hard question! if I was forced to stick to one range of paper, and a few sheets only in that range, I think I'd chose one of the Chatterbox ranges as they're double sided, so you get a bit more option. But I've got loads of Chatterbox stuff already! (no more rec room please - I used it for a month solid for Shimelle's september course and would like a break now  )
I had a quick look around the sponsors sites (Santa - you're a bad influence!) to see if there was anything that jumped out and found the Twirl range of crate papers which are the pink and green ones (which you can get at Capture the Magic who have a discount code in the sponsors forum!) I've not got any crate papers and these look yummy :)
Also I saw the My Minds Eye - Kaleidoscope papers at Papermaze. I've not got anything from this manufacturer and all of the look yummy, especially the girl, summer, princess and sisters ones on the first page at Papermaze.
Hope that helps a bit, please ask again if I've not been helpful!
your girls tell me you are being a very good mummy so please can I bring you something nice
have to go and feed my raindeer now be good
I want to know what you bribed my children with ;) and I hope your raindeer are well :) and I have been a good girl, honestly!
and :wub::wub::wub::wub: I can see from the questions you're asking that you're putting LOADS of thought into this - I'm seriously impressed!

Hello santa. Of course I've been good
I can use Simple (I think that's what it's called). It has to be for sensitive skin.
My favourite chocolate!!! Mmmm.... that's a tough one there's so many. I love ferrero rocher (no one else does) and I love toffeffees (I think that's what they're called. They're toffees with chocolate things they're like half a ball type thing).
Hope this helps santa.

Santa has been very busy shopping for you - but has a couple of questions.
Are there any particular colours you like or dislike?
Any particular brand of smellies that you love or hate?
SAnta has a very busy month ahead - so your parcel will probably not being sent out until the end of the month.
HO HO HO
Hello Santa
I like most colours, I usually find that I really enjoy trying things that other people have chosen that I might not have picked myself. I've got so much to scrap including my girls, old family stuff and my flower photos so everything is likely to get used.
As for smellies, I'm not to keen on Lush but again love to try anything really. My fav smells are spicy or fruity and I love vanilla. I esp like relaxing baths although most of the time have to settle for quick showers:P
Hope that helps, if you want me to be more fussy I could try but my Mum taught me to just be happy that someone cared enough to buy me anything:D Hope that you don't get too tired Santa and don't worry about not sending until the end of the month because then I won't have to wait too long to open my surprise.

Dear Santa,
I have been a very naughty girl this year because I have spent far too much money on stash! (ssshh don't tell DH)!
I like smellies like impulse body sprays, Avon stuff (mmmm Exotic Rose and Jasmine)!and things that aren't too strong or sweet and sickly. I only have a shower! Hope this helps you Santa. I don't want to stink like a reindeer next year! :D :D :D

Have been very very good today and managed to resist a huge banoffee pie at lunchtime:)
I like all sorts of patterns spots, checks, stripes. I have lots of plain. I am definately running low on green and beige patterned ribbon but I use lots so would be quite happy if some of your 40 meter stock ended up in my Christmas stocking
DD or DFH (the daughter from hell at the moment) is called Hannah. Sometimes she is very very good but most times she is h****d at the moment grrrrr. Are you going to whip her away and bring me a lovely post teenage angel??? :D

just a quick question i am probably being dumb but if we make a paper bag book for someone do we have to decorate it?
I would say that if I was to make one for someone I would just give them the basic papers and card stock and let them put it together!

Thank you Debbie, I did notice that earlier when I was checking to see if the elves had missed any important information about you. Only trouble is we seem to like a lot of the same things so I am shopping for 2:lol:
One thing I did forget to ask:rolleyes: When you go to Florida, do you do Disney etc and if so do you like themed stash? Don't worry if you don't, I know that it's not to evryones taste:)

Santa is going to take his reindeers for a test drive on Monday, to get them ready for Xmas, so he will stop by your house (in a cunning disguise of a postman<_< ) on Tuesday or Wednesday, with your Advent Box!
Make sure you give him a mince pie and a big kiss when you see him! :D

Hello ladies, still a bit quiet in here!
Just a quick reminder to PM/email me once you have posted your parcel please, so that I can keep it all up to date. As the parcels are posted, I will update the first page - hence once a parcel is on its way to you, thats what will be against your name, not that you have posted a parcel. Does that make sense?
I think that should prevent anyone twigging who has sent to whom!
Then make sure you let me know when you receive a parcel too!
Ta very much, sorry to be a pain
Love

My favourite singer????????? Oh dear ........ there are loads
I don't listen to the radio so don't even know if they're still alive let alone singing - DH says Nelson Eddie - NO not really  I'm old but not THAT old! I like Robbie Williams, Rod Stewart, Shania Twain, Bread, Beach Boys, Barbra Streisand and Westlife.

I've partially assembled an item and then added in extra bits and pieces figuring they'll want to make up the rest of them. I know I would - even if it was fairly finished I'd probably add a few bits and pieces. My taste is so simple and plain it isn't hard for me to stop and discover that other people would like a bit more <G>
Never made a paper bag book but they do sound like fun :)
