Hi! I'm thinking about trying digi scrapping as I have problems being able to get all of my stash out (am living with the inlaws at the moment and have no spare room!) and am starting to get "scrap withdrawal"!! ;)
We have a laptop with photoshop but only have dial up so as you can imagine downloading the kits that I've seen (shabby princess!!) would take forever and it would all go on my inlaws phone bills :( Are kits available to buy on CD's?? Or is there some sort of software that I could purchase that would have loads of background "papers" and embellishments?
Thanx in advance

I think there are some sites where you can nuy CDs from - I have download problems too coz of only having a boring ordinary phoneline at home. I'm lucky in that I can download some files at work and then take them home on CD.
You might try emailing some of the digi shop owners and asking them about their download-to-CD services.

Thanks to everyone who has replied so far - I think perhaps I should have done a bit more research before posting this question  It seems that I can get CD's from most people! Sorry!!

You can get cd and most sites have truncated the download to make it easier for Dial up.
Dragonflaire, Oscraps, Designer Digitals does.

If you want to make your own element and pp try getting hold of Serif Page Plus, Until very recently I had never heard or kits and did all my own on this programme and I have been digi scrapping for 2½ years now. (with this programme a scanner and a bit of patience you can produce most effects)

What about having a play and making your own bits and peices or doing something like I have here (http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=103812&cat=500&ppuser=6900)

I use my own photos as backgrounds and elements instead of digi papers. Whe out and about I deliberately take pics that will be suitable for backgrounds and close ups of things to use as elements. It makes for a completely unique LO.
Although, since joining a team recently I have started using some of the fab digi kits out there for the team challenges.
