Are you based in Scotland because the law maybe different there? In England and Wales, all stores over 2k sq ft can only trade 6 hours on a Sunday. This means 24hr stores have to close at midnight Saturday, trade their 6 hours Sunday and then re-open on Monday mornings.

Can I just advise on making sure that you do not miss these in store? As previous notes have explained, they are in the "back to school" seasonal display (if needing to ask in store, ask for where they display their seasonal items). However, in my store they were on a freestanding supplier rack that was attached to the gondola end in the seasonal aisle, they were not actually merchandised within the back to school fixture. I nearly missed them and as you may have guessed, I've worked in retailing for 10 years!

I bought some today at last in High Wycombe. Mine too, were 45p.
They were on a cardboard point of sale display next to the stationery section (not the Back to School stuff), next to the glue and scissors etc.

Also on the stand were jewels for 45p, but when I got home I discovered that the packets the charms were in, half said pack of 2, and half said pack of 15. I think they have been packaged in the jewel packs, and therefore we have been charged 45p.

Sorry if it doesn't make sense!!!

the cashier did item price so she scanned one pack and counted how many I had and entered total so it didnt matter abput wrong packaging IYSWIM

Same problem here, wrong packaging etc. Have managed to fish my receipt out of the bin (it was nice and clean inside the carrier bag) and it shows 12 @ 30p so will be popping in later this afternoon to ask why the next 12 cost me 45p.

But I agree it's still a bargain, if we'd bought them anywhere else but Asda would have been at least a £1.

The Notebooks were 45p BUT the jewels and the charms were 30p per packet on Sat when I first bought mine.

They are worth 45p but either Asda discovered they had been priced wrong !!!! ( They had no price on ... had to get them scanned to find out the price ) . OR they decided that they should be slightly more due to demand!!! Somehow I can't see Asda doing that tho'. Mind I could be wrong !! :)

This item will have been called a Seasonal Unique - ie they will have bought it into store for the back to school season only not to be replaced. The Asda Buyer will probably think that it has done well being sold to little girls and will stooc it again next year. We need to let Asda know that they could get ongoing sales from this so can I suugest that if you have time you email Asda via their website and let them know that you want to buy them.

I have been able to 3 packs but confusingly 2 have the same item no and all have the same bar code number! Any Item numbers are flower & bag 0189, sunglasses and flipflop 0188, tee-shirt and monkey 0188 (again!), the bar code is 8904190188 and the supplier is Continental Accessory Corp. The product title is Fashion Notebook Charms.

Oooh I GOT SOME TODAY!!!!

After feeling 'gutted' allweek after missing out on the Ellison price mistake I found some charms in the Derby store! Yay! (I ALWAYS miss out on things!)

I had to visit my sister and was driving past the Sinfin, Derby store so decided to pop in.

I eventually asked a lady who was stocking up the 'back to school' isle as I had walked up and down there 4 times! And she said are these what you mean!!!!! They were at then end of the back to School isle in a upright pink cardboard display 'box' that was probably 2 about foot high on hangers.

I had walked past it in my rush to look 'down the main isle' and totally missed it! So it may help you find some. Oh and they were 45p. They did not have many left but I got a few bags and eldest dd who's 4 got some pink gems for her scrapbook! She also has her eye on my charms!

When I asked at my local Burton Asda (quite small) about them they said that they had not seen them! So maybe only the larger stores are getting them in?

Tried to find one of the much talked about 'Asda lunch tins'...but failed.

It was on Ellison's website - they had priced an alphabet at £13.99 instead of £99.99 and were then deluged with orders cos someone posted on here and also people posted on other craft forums. Amazingly Ellison honoured the price so everyone who ordered got their alpha! Some got a different one cos they ran out of stock but otherwise everyone apart from Ellison came off very nicely indeed!

Asda at Robin Park in Wigan have them, hanging on a pink box display at the end of the School Shop aisle - not many left though now - a selection of the metal ones (flowers, ladybirds,butterfly,handbag,shoe,dog, cat and a rather bizarre looking monkey!!) - and then a range of sticky on jewel type ones in a range of colours from clear to dark green - 45 p per packet.

They are called Fashion Notebook Charms and Fashion Notebook Jewels and are made by Continental Accessory Corp. (just in case a Google search pulls up any others?)

If anyone still particularly wants some, I might be able to nip over there again tomorrow and see what's left?

When visiting an Asda for work today, I came across a batch of unsold charms. I was lucky enough to buy what I wanted from my local store before they sold out, but I have bought up all the packs they had in this Asda today and I am making them available on the forum on a first come, first served basis.

The charms cost me 45p a pack (even though I had only paid 30p a pack on my original purchase in my local store!?!). What I am going to do is bundle them up into pairs (otherwise I'll be spending all my weekend posting charms) and I'm going charge cost of packs (90P)+ cost of postage (50P) +25p to cover paypal fees. Therefore a set of two packs of charms including postage will be £1.65 (sorry about the postage charge, but I think that they are going to be too thick to be classifed as a letter as these have to be 5mm or less, however, if you want more than 1 set, I will reduce postage).

I have the following available:

4 sets of Flipflop/sun glasses + t-shirt/monkey all now sold

Just a little note that if anyone is shopping in premark they have charm bracelets For £1.50 I think they were pink bags and butterfly charms (5) that works out at 30p a charm and the chain may come in handy too.The past few times I've been in they have had them in the childrens dept.

i have been into ashford asda so manytimes i am wearing the floor out...the staff who run the section said we had thm but i didnt like them so sent them back...they wouldnt go in thios st-ore>>>>i complained to the manager at her attitude and the fact thet people have been looking for these charms up and down the ocuntry and i was willing to buy the whol stock of them if they could find them..
phone cvall today from the store..manager said they are not anywhere in the store and he thinks they sold out the day they came in and they wont be getin gthem again...

Found some in our Asda couple weeks ago, got what I wanted as there were loads and loads of them, went in the next day to buy some more and the whole stand has gone. Am going into work tonight, if I remember I will ask at customer services about them.

I managed to pick up a few spare - will sort them tonight and list tomorrow - will sell on same basis as Dips (post 132 on this thread - who I also bought some from) as I also will be selling by paypal. Will be unable to send out until Tuesday as I have a late finish at work monday.

It is worth keeping check of your Asda's though as mine never had them until this Wed. They were end of aisle (back to school aisle) encased in a large pink carboard open fronted box suspended in portrait direction and it displayed notebooks, jewels and the charms. Hope that makes sense

On the way back from Sheffield yesterday (visiting son at Uni) we called at the 24 hour Asda in Bury - they had a full stock of the charms and I bought 9 packs. Very happy.

Had to pop into the Waterlooville store this morning & by pure luck came across a new display box stuck in the middle of the grocery section :huh: I think it was opposite the shampoo aisle for anyone who's looking. There were still quite a few left even after I got some for me & a friend!!

My hubby said Asda at The Reebok in Bolton had the charms in today. He didn't get me any though cos he said I got enough the other day!

Thanks for the RAK of the charms. Our Asda eventually had some...& they flew, only sticky gems were left.
