Hi, I am new to UK Scrappers and Im loving this site. I am a traditional scrapper but I think I could be converted, or a bit of both.
I am going to start by buying cd's for background papers. I have sourced where I can get acid free card and paper BUT.. can I use my printer ink.I have searched the internet high and low and cannot find an answer:wacko: . Then I came across this site and Eurika! I try hard to keep everything archival quality but in scrapping I will add in tickets etc. that are not acid free.
The back ground papers I feel need to be of an acid free quality. Therefore I dont want to do my hard work and extra money by buying acid free card when the ink spoils in a few years.I am begining to think as there is little or no mention of it that I am safe to use my usual printer inks. Please advise I would really appreciate it.

16.08.06...I've had pms regarding this and it seems that I will be okay with my inks after all photographs are printed using the same inks. I'm interested in free background papers to get me started ie, polka dot or gingham in baby colours. I love scrapbooking papers and will always be lured into a purchase but to have some papers on file to print off will be amazing. Thanks for advice given, please feel free to offer more as I have just got my new HP Photosmart printer and I want to use it as much as I can with my traditional scrapbooking (I just love the tactile approach to Scrapbooking with a touch of digital) Thanks again, Looby
