For once realised we were on a new thread before pages had been written! I had an order from America the other day and I'd say it was only a day or so later than normal, so hopefully we'll get the kit sooner rather than later. I think it usually gets here around the 15th though?

I only ordered mine today so you will all get yours before I do - Jennie are you going to Alison's crop next week - I could have a sneaky peek!! LOL

Jane, I'm not sure yet. I'll let you know.

The monthly inspiration is up - I like it. I am not so keen on the Jamie Waters LO's, but Jenni's look great. She had a real knack of making the LO's with a feminine touch doesn't she? I hope I can do something with these papers...

Try looking at the bottom of the inspiration page and click where it says august, then you will see the pages. Not sure why it does this though!!

I had the same problem. However click on Jenni's gallery in the July inspiration.
When you go back / get to the bottom August is listed in the archive listing at the bottom of the page and you can access it from there....a bit of a round about way, but it works :)

OK found it:D . Still not totally sure about the tones of orange and pink. Don't get me wrong I love orange and pink together, but I probably need to see this kit in real life if you see what I mean. Unfortunately off tomorrow for a holiday before the schools go back on 22nd (Scotland) so will have to pick up my kit from the depot when I get back.

I like how Jenni has used the kit for her nephew and other boys too ie in the journaling jumpstart....loving the bling as well :)

I'm really into orange at the moment so I can't wait to get my hands on this kit especially with all that bling. Love the way she outlined her mum's dog!

I'm slightly confused as to whether I need to renew or not. I lost track as I resigned up after her system went down. My membership says the following:
first purchase: 6/6/2006 1:37:33 PM
last purchase: 8/7/2006 8:16:00 AM
total purchase:3
So I'm assuming that I have one more kit to come? But I did think this was my last one. Very confused now!
Edited to say that I must have lost a trick here as I was thinking that July was August. although that does kind of imply that payment for August has not yet been made?!
Emmak

Jenni, I love the little scroll on your family LO. Where did you get it from please?
Jennie
14-08-2006, 02:23 PM
Do you mean the Friends and Family one on my blog with the green cardstock?
The little scroll stamp came in Jenni Bowlin's kit for March or April. I don't know who makes it, but Jenni may have listed it in her site somewhere. I'll go and have a browse. I love it, and use it loads.
ETA - I just checked and it was the March kit. You can see it clearly in Jenni's gallery for that month, but I can't find an archive anyway where it lists each kit. If you were really keen on the stamp, you could e-mail Jenni, and ask her, I know she is very keen on her stamps, so I am sure you would get a pretty quick reply.
Emma, I am the same as you. I looked at the membership details, and it looks like I have subbed up to and including August. (showing three purchases) Most of us will be like that, so I am sure she will either issue an email, or put something on her blog about what we have to do to renew it.
Jennie
14-08-2006, 02:51 PM
Emma, check out Jenni's blog on 22 Feb 06. She left a post just about the stamp! It a Savvy (Impress) Rubber Stamp. :D

I get confused with the American listing of dates as month/day/year ....
I changed my membership to "indefinite" as the August kit was no.3 of 3 for me. My understanding is I can still "duck out" at the end of a 3 kit cycle, so that will be November. I wasn't sure now the site is different if we would get an e-mail to say about renewal, or whether we would simply have to "purchase" again ourselves.
I'm hoping the August kit arrives today
Jennie

mine didn't arrive :( never mind I always seem to be at least a day or so later than everyone else. I am unsure too - I am sure she said she will email everyone, but I haven't heard from her yet.

I'm the same Kathy, but my account isn't showing indefinite, do you know how I do that? I really want to carry on.
I'm home from work, and no kit here yet, must be tomorrow for me.
I'm just about to upload my latest Jenni Bowlin kit LO on to my blog. I think it's a mix of June and July's kit.
I am pretty sure she said we would get an e-mail Shirley to renew. Surely she wouldn't want to risk losing people's business just for the sake of a reminder e-mail.
kathyb
15-08-2006, 05:51 PM
I went into the bit on her site where it shows "my account"
Along the line showing what I'd purchased already, I think it said edit, then I checked the indefinite box. Make sure you press "save" at the bottom, and check it then shows you as "indefinite". I forgot this bit first time I tried and couldn't work out why it wasn't showing up.
No kit here either yet. I guess last weeks airport issues have probably held things up.

Mine arrived yesterday and I love this month's kit. It's persuaded me to sign up for continous kits. I love Scenic Route paper and the lightly checked pages are gorgeous. Also loving the bling. I saw some Heidi Swapp alphas at a show at the weekend and they were gorgeous. I can't remember if they were fuzzy or sparkly, but they were expensive so I hope she includes them in a kit at some point. I like the sound of bling letters will have to go and check it out.
Did anyone else receive an empty plastic bag? What's that all about then?

Going to find some "orangy" photos iykwim to take to crop tomorrow, now im not a bling bling girly but felt quite converted when I saw them this morning. I was in a hurry to get to work so grabbed box off postie and opened at work!! Sad I know !LOL!

Can I ask if everyone has had their kit? On my return from hols mine hasn't arrived :( :( . It usually gets here around the 15th, so I make it nearly a week late. I ordered the project kit too this month. I'll contact Jenni Bowlin and see what the procedure is. I'm sure it's too early to really worry yet, but was so looking forward to my kit.
Love the way your project kit turned out Jennie :) .

Oh Debby, I would be beside myself, if I didn't get mine. I just love this months. I've started a second LO from the kit this morning already. I get the feeling that Jenni is a very fair person, so hopefully if it gets lost, she'll get something out to you real quick. I am sure she'll have some spare.

Thanks Jennie, I was sitting here wondering if it's stuck in customs. The kit and project kit together cost over £30 and I believe that the customs limit is somewhere around £18. Anyone feel free to correct me, it's just something I think I read somewhere. As such the normal kit price is usually OK but combined with the project kit it may be liable for customs. I'm not sure. Will just have to see what happens.

My kit came on the 18th ( I was away ) so only picked it up from the PO yesterday.
Deb, have you tried your sorting office. I have known ( only very occasionally ) for a parcel to be there waiting, unbeknown ( sp??) to the recipient as the postie had forgotten to put a card through the door to tell them. I think we are usually okay with the customs as there is never a content list, and the green label always fairly non-specific. I hope yours arrives soon.
:nono: Bex...you are SO naughty!!! The bling words are gorgeous....I am TRYING NOT to buy, though keep checking back as DD really does have the perfect t-shirt to go with it  Thanks for the link - I'm sure I will succumb later :D
Love your layouts Jennie, and the project kit work :D
Looking forward to getting cracking with mine......just need some peace from the littleones and from DH!

23-08-2006, 09:56 AM
OH ME TOO!! they look really great, you super sleuth!! If they are not in the kit, I think you should personally buy me couple so that I am not disappointed!!!
I love your LO's too Jennie - I did a Lo with the kit, its the first time that I have done one completely off center IYKWIM, but it just looks wrong to me, looks like I haven't put it on the page properly, why mine looks so rubbish, I don't know!
Jennie
23-08-2006, 10:17 AM
Shirley, I'm sure it looks lovely. Did you put it off centre enough, to make it look off centre IYKWIM :D
Have so far resisted buying the bling words B) Don't know how long I can keep it up though:unsure:
Deb, still keeping my fingers crossed for you. I did get a package returned to the States this year, because I didn't pick it up! But I never got the card, and the package certainly wasn't in my pidgeon hole in the sorting office either. So I guess, the postal sorter put it in the wrong hole, and the postie put the card through the wrong door.
I still think Customs is a possibility though, even though Jenni is very good the way she writes out the labels. Did you check all your neighbours etc as you were away?

Hi all, thanks for your concern. I've checked with neighbours both sides, when I went to PO on Monday I got them to double check for a parcel for me, I've chatted to the postman who can't remember leaving a box for me with anyone ..... Not that I'm keen to get my hands on the kit or anything  . I think I might try calling the PO again and see if there is anything else I can do. From what I remember the kit is usually with us about 15/16th so is definately a week late now. Mind you if your kit didn't arrive until the 18th Kathy there is still a hope it isn't in post office heaven!
I got my email to resubscribe today. I really, really want to and probably will, I'm just feeling a little guilty as my stash collection is growing and growing. I need to scrap faster! I get two kits - this one and a UK one so I get lots of yummy stuff each month. I like having stuff I wouldn't have chosen or tried if left to myself. I'm trying not to buy other stash, but just to have my kits. I know I won't be able to resist resubscribing, can you imagine how it would feel come next month if I'm not getting a kit  .
Hi Leanne :) , good to see you here too. Now you know who my missing parcel is from. It's a lovely kit and I hope you enjoy playing with all the gorgeous stuff.
Now after writing an entire essay, I'd better go and do something!

I've got my kit!
When I phoned PO they guy was like "oh you again" in his voice, but he went off to check anyway. He came back asking if I'd definately not got a red note from them. I explained that as he knew I'd been in on Monday with the notes left etc. Anyway it was there!!! Had been since the 18th. So why no red note and then why he hadn't been able to find it on Monday I don't know. Now I don't care, because I've got my kit!! Off to have a proper look and let Jenni Bowlin know it's turned up.
:):) :) :) :) :) :)

Brilliant Deb, sounds like what happened to me, happened to you too, but you were a bit more persistent, good on you.
Kathy!! Slapped wrists!! I'm still resisting.
Leanne, I really hope you love the kits, and usually there is plenty of Heidi Swapp stuff in the kits, and I am sure you'll love it.

OK, so I though that if I got my personal scrappng fix via someone elses kit it would give me a break from my own - but hey 'GoGo Create' October kit has the same papers as Jenni's September kit  still lots of other different bits and it must mean I have excellant tast:P

Has anyone made up the large book with the handel that was June's project kit yet? I wish she would make the pages printer friendly. I've tried to copy and paste and print direct from the site but I'm having problems with the photos. What is everyone else using their book for?
I must admit, when I first saw the kit, I thought that the clipboard was part of it, especially seeing as she had a close up of it in one of the smaller pics.

Am I the only one who likes the project kit then? makes me think I have no taste!! I like the gaffe tape, and nearly bought some the other day, but I hadn't seen it in brown. I thought for $15 it was quite good value again, and the papers are a little different.
I agree Emma about printing the instructions it is very annoying! I have made the book from the June kit and I love it, I am doing a sort of BOM, in it in mini - scrapping form IYKWIM, I love it although I have only done two pages so far!

Me, me, me - I got the project kit. I liked the look of it and will no doubt love making it, but then with a lot of things I think what shall I do with it! If all else fails will use it as a Xmas present.
I made the handled 7gypsies journal and loved it. Used it as a holiday journal and stuck lots of the holiday pics in as a collage at the end of each days journalling.

I didn't get the previous 7 gypsies book project, but I really like the look of this project, as I did last month, so I ordered it, and can't wait for it. I don't think it's so much a book, but more of a folder, come portfolio to store photos in.
I Luurrvve this month's scrapping kit. The papers look fab, and those newspaper flowers are growing on me by day. Again, I'm really excited for the 15th!
When does Jenni normally put up her inspirations? I so used that this month! LOL!

Talking of the 7gypsies kit with the Anna Griffin papers - I really wanted that one too, but it had gone before I could buy one. So I got the papers from Artbase and bought a book from Paperchase (A4 Sketch Book) spiral bound. Then bought some extra thick grosgrain in black from Paperchase as well and used that as the handles. It looks just as good I think, and I'm really pleased with it.

My first reaction was "what a pain". Then I thought that being able to pick whether I want next months kit or not was a good thing. I generally love what she does and all the bits and pieces too, but sometimes a kit doesn't hit the mark. As long as they don't sell out and I can choose whether to have it or not then I'm OK. Must say that I've been doing this months project kit and it is absolutely gorgeous. The pictures on her site just don't do it justice.

I'm off to a crop tonight and this is coming with me!! I love the colours and the velvet ricrac is just gorgeous, definitely need some more of that!!

Got mine too this morning, and thrilled as usual. I bought two pumpkins today so I can take some photos of the children to go with the papers!!
I have only just done a LO from last month's kit, take a look on my blog, the photo is rubbish, but I like the LO. It's the second one down.

Had a quick peak at her blog and she shows a picture of JBS junque boxes coming with the new site. Looks interesting. I love all the little bits and pieces she puts into the kits. Maybe this could be an add on to the kit with more yummy stuff.

Ooh Debby, thanks for the heads up on that...off to take a peak!

You know the little boxes of buttons and sequins, odds and ends we get. I think the junque boxes will be more of that sort of thing to buy as perhaps an add on to the kit. A lot of kit sites sell extras to go with the current kit. I think she may head in that direction.
I must admit I am very interested to see what November brings. I just hope with fingers crossed that she gets a site set up without all of these gliches she has been having.

Oh I see Debby, thanks. :) Extra options are always nice, especially if there is extra to coordinate with what you've already got in the kit!
I too am hoping that we can sub again in November, it's so much easier to know it's definitely coming each month rather than having to keep buying every time.
papermad
18-10-2006, 09:47 PM
I know what you mean about subbing. Also if I have a sub I can stop myself from trying to work out if I'll like the kit and if I really neeeeed more stash! At least when I have a sub I can just relax and wait for the postman. :D

Love your project book Jane, and your LO's Katy.
Thankyou for your comments on my pages.
I can't believe the 1st is almost here again...each month seems to go by faster than the last! Just wondering if JB's new all singing/dancing site will be running by then?

Think she said on her blog that it would be another month of just buying on the day. Still love this months kit, so will no doubt continue buying in which ever way she does each month.

Katy, I love your LOs. I;m still using last month's kit at the moment, as I loved it so much, but must move on to this months. Yes Jenni said her new site will be ready in another month's time, but it is a pain to remember to go and buy the kit on 1st of the month, but it won't put me off.
I've got a couple of LOs on my blog, that I did yesterday, using lots of JB stuff, but I'm staring to mix her kits up now, and using the left overs. I used the newspaper flower, I was never sure how to use it, but I do think it fits nicely on a boy LO!

Hi Debby
I read it as she will put up November's kit on to her current site and then start working on giving us teasers about her new web site, which will be ready for the December kit. But who knows!!
I love the look of the next kit from her layouts though.

Am I right in thinking that Jenni has not said what we need to do to get this month's kit? I know it has been implied that it will be a one off purchase again but she has not mentioned anything about when we can buy it...someone please correct me if I am wrong!!!
Jennie

I'm sure I did read that we do have to go and buy it as a single kit this month.

You know they are several hours behind us, so I am sure first thing in the morning will be fine. I don't think she ever sells out of the kits for many weeks. B) Although the monthly project kit sells out pretty quick.

Just been on Jenni's blog...November is again a one off purchase same as October. Also on the site the November pics are on the homepage, though the kits won't go live till later.
I'm sure you'll be fine waiting till the morning Kate. I know I am going to. The nights I have waited up or got up early, there have been site problems and I've regretted it. Always managed to get the kit by waiting til the morning...that said, I must remember to get on-line!

Hi I wanted to get this kit, only problem is I can't proceed with check out cause I haven't put a "state" in the billing/shipping address form - how do you get around the problem?
Kdarli
01-11-2006, 09:06 PM
Hi Eileen
Just select AB the first state and it will let you continue. That is what we all had to do and Jenni knows that it isn't really part of your address!!
