Hi Jane. I use photoshop elements but I know a lot of the guys on here use paint shop, and I know there are some great tutorials. Have a look in digital scrapbooking on the home page and somewhere it gives a list of sites. Someone will be along to help you soon, I just wanted you to know there are people listening.

Hi

There are loads of sites - look at the library and links for digi scrqapbooking, on this forum.

Basically its the same as paper scrapbooking, but its all done and printed on your computer. You buy papers and elements to download, and then u fit them on to a blank page that you open in Paintshop pro. You print them off on your printer if they are say 8" x 8", but if you do 12" x 12" you can send them away to be printed. They are usually printed on Photo paper.

To be honest it takes a while to learn how to do it - its not something that you can learn overnight.
Bridget Withers on this forum runs basic digital scrapbooking course which are really good - I started that way, and it was a big help. If you are a compete beginner that is a very good place to start.

Hope this helps

I use PSP 9 and am learning how to use it by trial and error.
If you look on the UKS library page there are some great links to 'getting started' type tutorials which take you thru some of the basics. I'm afraid I was a bit of a 'well I'll just open the program up and see what I can make it do' person so I am probably learning the hard way!
Another tip is to Google for a particular technique you want to try - for example, creating backgrounds. You'll find lots of fab links that way, too.

Scrapbook Max is very good. I would download the free trial, and give it ago. It is easy to convert to the main programme and is for digi dummies like me! I also use a really simple programme which was part of my computer ... Microsoft Picture It is easy to use and does most of the things I want. You could also download PHOTOMIX (just go onto their website) which is another easy one and you can make collages with lots of pics there.
