I've 2 photos that I want to use as a background for some A5 flyers, but I can't make them pale without taking the colour away. I'd like for them to almost be transparent without the colours becoming drab, so any words I place on top are visible, rather than difficult to see because of the photo. Does that make sense?

I have played with all the buttons etc, and tried to read the manual, but not having any joy.

TIA

How about reducing the opacity ? Under Layer menu option, select properties. On the properties screen, you can reduce the opacity from 100% to 60 or 70%

If its for flyers then why not use MS Word? I've done just that for Mass booklets. PM me for help if needed.

Suzanne, I have PSP7 too (not that I really know how to use it) but the way Ifa explained is the way to go :)
