We took the children to a professional photographers today and as a result, bought the images on disc together with the copyright. I have an idea of what prints could cost in a High Street developers, but I was wondering........ will I be able to print them off at home, or has the file had something done to it (?) to prevent this ? Cheers.

No, if you have paid for the image and the right to print them, then you will be able to print them anyway you want - including at home, or 10p prints from Photobox.
I bought a disk & copyright from Disney last year, and have had no problems printing them at all.

I hope to god it wasn't olan mills :( We had a sitting two weeks ago and bought the disk...after being told that boots/tesco/etc would give the same results as their printing. How wrong they were. Tesco were absolutely awful- to the point where they could see the huge difference and didn't charge us for the prints. Jessops was better but nowhere near what they should be- deffo the better of all our results tho. We had a big to-do with olan mils over it and are now getting lots of free prints direct from them. If it was them and you want to see the difference I can email you the original and the print side by side for you to judge.
Hope yours are better :)
