Does anyone know of some good proofing actions or borders? I know of itty bitty actions as that's what Tara Whitney uses, but was just wondering if there were any more?

a PM would be appreciated :)

There are a whole load at Action Central (http://www.atncentral.com/) and also some crop up from time to time on I Love Photography (http://www.ilovephotography.com). It's a board primarily for children's photographers, but it has loads of good general advice and examples as well as lots of Photoshop/action tips and tricks. A really good website :)
I have a fantastic action I got from there (http://ilp.tlcwe.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=141540&hl=peta) that does this (first before, second after)
EDIT: Just had to add another example, just because I loooove what it does to the flowers

Laura, thank you so much for that link, I just had a play with it and it's fab! Might turn the opacity down a tad, but what a difference :)

You have found Peta's Action, is'nt it just a WOW. I have been using it a few times over the last couple of weeks and love it. It just makes poping so easy. Great adjustments to your photos BTW.

Kate,

once you have unzipped the action if it needs that part, open PS and then load your photo. Now go to Actions Pallet on the right, click the little black arrow on the top of the Action Pallet and choose Load Action. Locate your saved file and then click ok. This will load into your action pallet

To play the action make sure you highlight Pop and then press play.

I know Kate, I was having problems with my fill flash and I had a response quicker than I imagined and it works. It was so much nicer to have someone explain it because the manual made no sense lol.

There are the odd few that work with elements, but you need to use them in a slightly different way& I think you need Elemnets 3 or 4

I think itty bitty actions (http://www.ittybittyactions.com)have elements plug ins but not for free.

I just tried Peta's Action out as I love the whole idea of colour popping but lack the wherewithall to do it! I do like the effect, but agree you certainly have to have the right style of photo for it to work properly :)

obviously I've put the pics in the opposite way to everyone else!!

Is PSP Paintshop Pro??
I think actions are only a Photoshop thing, but I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong...
