View Full Version : How do you add colour to B&W pic with Paint Shop Pro 9?

Hoping one of you clever girls can help me.
Seen the photos that are black and white but with one bit coloured in. I know I have to copy my image and overlay something, but I can't for the life of me work it out :wacko:
Could anyone give me the instructions for this effect please.

I used quick mask mode to select the beads and copied them as a new layer.
Then I converted the background to b&w (use channel mixer not desaturate, looks much less "grey" iykwim) and played around with the contrast on both until they were both nice and, well, contrasted! Lol.

Thanks for that Just Me...I have paint shop pro 9 so will have a play later and see if I can do something similar in my program :)

This thread made me look in the library for the instruction (I have paint shop pro) and it worked! Or rather I could understand what it said!
