Went to Reading on Sunday and managed to get to the 567 sets but they had no idea about Albums.. have never managed to track down the paper in any costco.
I can get to quite a few different ones .. so which ones have
1)albums
2) Heidi Swapp stuff
3) patterned paper
4)anything else of interest

I go to Costco at Haydock (not the one at the docks) and they had paper but sold out ages ago (don't know if it's been restocked) and also had a bumper pack of alphabet/shape punches. haven't seen the embellishment sets as I haven't been for a couple of weeks but they often have various craft/scrap sets.

PS. I used to live in Maghull - small world!

Lakeside had Heidi Swapp and the albums on sunday but only a few of each left. The albums were only in the bright B) colours - yellow and orange. the paper went AGES ago, as did the punches. Looking forward to visiting the USA one though - have you seen the goodies in the other thread   ?

The thing is with Costco i have found that they get something and when it goes it goes. SOme times they may get it back that time next year. So if you see something get it cos it probably wont be there next time (actually i think its only scrappin stuff which takes it time selling). It's only recently they have started selling scrap stuff and its only one or two things. But the other stuff is fab too.

Oh and no albums in at Liverpool yet :(

LAKESIDE- West Thurrock, has lotsof the kits they must have had a delivery, also had the albums. Went in for a new washing line thingy and spent the money on scrapbook stuff.
Also their digital printing is only 3p for each 4x6 print, when ordering more than 200. I took my disc in today at about 4.30pm which had approx 450 photos on and it cost under £18 I expected to pay over £40 so I was well pleased, and the chap couldn't manage it in an hour (which is understandable) but I popped back just before they closed at 8.30pm and they were ready. Didn't realise just how many photo 450 where (if that makes sense) I had about 6 thick packets !! They are my USA trip photos which we have just returned from, and as I am going away this weekend for a girly cropping weekend I just needed them printed out, might manage a page or two if I'm lucky !!!!!!.

Costco, Costkea Way, Edinburgh (near Loanhead)

Sell the Heidi Swapp embellishments - something that's not "my cup of tea".

The hand held rotary trimmer with self healing cutting mat and bits and pieces including spare blade and scissors (I think).

I bought the 12" rotary paper trimmer with fancy blades for £20.00 - fab!! Has a storage tray for bits and pieces and to store extra blades.

Probably other stuff too but I wasn't looking for them!

They are, aren't they! But well worth it when you do!:) Am hoping Edinburgh get more albums in - quite fancy some of the colours mentioned earlier. We only had the "mustard" and green ones (which I bought). I think I'll go and give them a wee phone. Loads of stuff Lesley, 567 items to be precise! Including a 6x6 album, chipboard letters and shapes, ghost letters and shapes, sticky ribbon, photo corners, title plates, clear tags, erm, and loads more. Definitely worth the £21 :)

Ummm... after reading this thread, it looks like it is definitely worth joining Costco... can anyone tell me how much membership is?

Claire :)

Clay 36
17-08-2006, 09:19 AM
Claire, they've got some restrictions on who joins as well. You or your partner/husband would need to work for: NHS, local govt, civil service, be a lawyer ... If you give them a call they'd give you the full list. For 2 people living in the same house it's under £30 inc VAT but not by much. Hope that helps.

Anyone checked out the stationery section in their local ASDA yet? They have loads of peel offs, card making goodies, toppers, lovely sets of wee stamps (clear ones) and wee acrylic blocks to put them on for about £4. Wouldn't use the daubers with them - nothing to say they're acid free but could be used for cards.

Bluemoonjules
17-08-2006, 10:30 AM
I went on my BIL's business membership, which with VAT was £14 and change up to when they renew. I could have been an individual member as an NHS employee.

Claire, if you want to come with me or Anna sometime, I am sure it can be arranged. PM me.

Costco Lakeside has had all the SB stuff in:- paper packs, fancy scissors, albums,Heidi Swapp, big sets of paper punches, alphabet and pictures. The last one was the HS, and time before was the albums.I agree about battle scars trying to get into wrapping. Bought it just before hols B) and hid from hubby, then on return stayed up late, and tried to open quietly..... I think the neighbours must have heard and am covered in nicks to boot: but on the plus side lovely bits well worth the money.:D

V disappointed!!!!

Went to all the effort of joining at Reading yesterday, fought my way through the footie traffic (forgot about that!) only to find NO scrapbook stuff there, apart from tacky edge scissors. Quite sad when I came out!

If anyone finds the Heidi Swapp set, please, please, please could they get me one. I will pay postage etc. Or is there another store within easy distance of me in Didcot, Oxfordshire?

Thanks and sorry for the moan, really thought I was on to something!

Sorry you were disappointed, but I'm sure you must have been looking in the wrong place. I looked all over and even asked someone who looked at me as if I were mad!!

I basically went up and down each aisle and spent ages in the office bit which is where the assistant told me they would be.

Where abouts is it all then, I may be able to go back one evening.

The albums were in the office bit, under 1 on the shelves. I nearly missed them but they are there. The HS stuff was on another aisle near the clothes. Hope you find them if you go again. If you really can't find them, hi-jack an assistant and insist they show you where they are.

I am sure you must have walked right past them. I bought 4 albums in total - would have had more if they had the pastel ones as well.

The albums are stacked in boxes, so it is quite easy to miss them, and the HS stuff is packed in flat plastic moulded wrapping and then stacked in display boxes - very unremarkable looking! The other thing is they keep moving them around!

I hope you get sorted, Sarah. I am still umming and ahhing over the decorative edge scissor set, so I might see you there tomorrow.

The albums were nice, but I don't scrap much 12 x 12 and I have a nice linen album still nearly empty, so I didn't bother with those. The punch sets were good value for money tho.

Thanks everyone for all your help, keep me posted on more stuff!!
