Hi ladies, well I'm back from my op now. I'm not really supposed to be home, as I've still got a drain in my leg but I was getting bored and they needed the bed :lol:

Vicki I'm ready for the friends cj now :D I probably won't be up to working on it until next week, but it would be great to see it so that I can have a think about what to do.

Regarding sending the next one early, sure, no problem can you just remind me nearer the time, otherwise I know I'll forget :lol:

Thank you for asking :wub: I'm not too bad. Every day seems to be a little easier and yesterday I managed to get upstairs without my crutches - Yeah me!

I'm still as high as a kite on painkillers, but my other half is looking after me well. I haven't cooked a thing in over a fortnight, so there are positives to being ill :lol:

The inlaws are coming for the weekend and our oven broke a couple of days ago, so I might even venture outside to go for a meal :P

Jackie, sorry to hear you have only just received your cj, I did'nt realise Becky had a problem, I dont really want to have to change the posting dates unless we really have to as being in the holiday season it could just cause more problems down the line for other people but I have just realised that the next date after the 19th of June is only a two week gap so If you could get the cj out as close to the posting date as you can then hopefully it wont pass the delay on down the line. If its any comfort, I havent done my next one yet either.:lol:

To answer the question after this posting next Monday we have three more postings

Jackie don't stress about it - the important thing about a CJ is that you enjoy doing the entries.

I think if you're late posting, you're late & we can readdress it again at the next posting date - we're so close to the end now - I think Jan's probably right - keep the posting dates as they are but if you're late on all of them it doesn't really matter, does it?

I second that, if we could all make sure we post on this thread when we post and what we've posted and then when we receive and what we've received it will make it a lot easier to keep track off. Especially if we get the odd one out of sync.:D

Ok no probs, I understand we want to keep to the posting dates. There really is no way I can get it finished this week as I've got so many other things that need doing, but I'll let you know when its posted. Hi all

Really sorry but I don't think I will be able to get mine done for Monday as my little girl is ill. She has a really high fever and spots. I think it might be cheickn pox but will take her to the dr in the morning to check.

Also some old git tryed to run me over yesterday and I have been dealling with the police tonight. Somehow I am the one in the wrong because I didn't tell them within 24 hours. How does that work ?

It is ok to call the police is a teenager is being noisy outside your house but if a 60+ year old tries to run you down on purpose then you are surposed to accept it.

Sorry, really angry though. I will get it in the post asap.

You can buy fabrics with a peel off paper back that will go through your printer. I bought mine from my local haberdashery shop. That one is a habotai silk. It was this make (7th one down) - http://www.cottonpatch.co.uk/acatalog/Supplies_Printing_Fabric.html but I managed to buy just a single sheet for about £2.

I have heard of people just hermafixing fabric to a sheet of paper and then putting it through the printer, but I wouldn't risk it in mine :wacko: hubby would kill me if I broke it. I've already broken one printer by putting natural paper through it. :lol:

sorry I have not been on this week but been really ill. Got taken to hospital Tuesday night and put on a drip due to dehydration. They don't know what caused but still feel pretty ropey but a lot better than I was.

I have received the friends cj safe and sound and hope to feel well enough this weekend to get on with it.

At present I dont have a CJ, I am waiting for J which will be my last one, but I think we have a bottle neck further up the line.

I like Caz's idea of holding on and all posting the last one together, but until we get to there, several of us will be on catch-up due to people being away
so I think if you are holding a completed CJ just sit tight until we have a final post, the rest of us will just have to post as soon as we are ready first checking that the receipient is'nt away on holiday, so that we can catch everyone up.
Hopefully our final post can still be 21st August.

Ooh, I'm not sure if I'll be joining another Cj for a while yet - I have really enjoyed it though! I've actually got plans to redo all of the LOs that I did for a mini CJ of my own - in memory of the Daisy Chain CJ as it were :lol: I think I'm a bit too obsessive to do too many CJs :lol: I spend waaaay too much time on other people's books and not enough on my own :lol:

Anyway, I've finished the 'J is for' CJ so I'll try to post that to you, Jan, later on today (between thunderstorms :lol:)

:lol: I bought it from an independent toy and craft shop in Leicester (Dominoes), but you can almost always find it on Ebay. The best stuff (IMHO) is the frosted variety as you don't need to sand it before applying the colours.

Re. the missing Colour CJ. Spoke to Royal Mail on Friday & they've sent a claim form as they say that it is now classed as lost (was posted 25th July) :( I am absolutely gutted about this. I spoke to Sam at the crop on Saturday & she's going to go to the Sorting Office this week to see if they can find it. Fingers crossed it is being re-directed back to me & isn't lost but it's been an awful long time.

What happens now? I'll submit the claim form anyway as that won't make any difference I shouldn't think. I will claim for the maximum which is £32 - how can one put a price on art?????

Sorry dp is off work at the moment (inbetween contracts!) so we are trying to get things done round the house etc before he gets a new contract just incase its working away again! So I haven't been able to get on.
Keeping my fingers crossed he has another contract sorted out by next week otherwise my budget for the Harrogate show will be dramatically reduced :( Are any of you girlies going?!
