Now we all seem to have got the cjs at more or less the right time, so how are we doing with them? Just a friendly reminder that we only have a week till the next posting date of the 24th April!

Debbie - you go on holiday shortly i believe, have you sent a cj early to Joanne yet?

Jaime girl - sorry ahve forgotten exactly what date you are getting married but I am sure it is soon! Hope you have a lovely day! i would need to go back to the other thread, but i think you have already made arrangements about your cjs!:D Just please keep us in touch :)

Hi all.....just found you been wondering where everyone was!!!!

Izzy....I had spoken to jane who said she will send nxt CJ early as she was already finished that way i could get it done and also sent early...however nothing receieved and jane hasnt adv if she has sent....as this was a couple of weeks ago I think it may be better if she posts straight to deb (this will mean deb gets 2 CJ this posting) cause posting is 24th apr and Im away from 29th and wont be able to get it done and posted in a week (sub to me getting straight away) and im not back home til 23may!!
This will then mean that I will get this CJ at the end and send it back to its owner once completed.
I will PM jane and Debs to make sure this is ok and will let you know.

I actually get married on 09may so not long to go!!! I cant wait!!!

Almost there girls for the 6th posting!:)

I am just back from Ireland and leave for 2 weeks in Spain this weekend which means i wont be around to remind you about posting day for the 7th posting! Could i ask someone to take that on and just post a reminder on the thread that the date is only a few days away? it is just that sometimes i know what the date is but dont realise that it has almost arrived!!B)


I have been watching another couple of cjs on another forum and am sorry to see that a couple of cjs have gone walkabouts!:wacko: One has not been recorded or had a certificate of posting obtained for it so the post office will do nothing!!:ph34r:

Could i please remind you to either
a) post recorded
or
b) obtain a certificate of posting (which is free!)

But whichever you choose, do remember to get the post office to mark a value of £32 on it as "art work". I understand that in those circumstances if the worst happens and it is never found - at least the poster can get some money to cover the cost of what was used in the cj!
Not much consolation i know which is why at the beginning, i encouraged you to photograph your pages for yourself and also so that in the worst case scenario, it is relatively easy to reproduce your pages in the missing cj! I had to do this in my very first cj and believe me, i was extremely glad i had kept a photo of it cos it made my life easier!:P

I know that some of you are not always online so i will send this in a pm to each of you. So dont think i am going crazy - i just want to make sure that this important post doesnt get lost in among all the others on this thread!:rolleyes:

Izzy....when I got homw I had a couple of slips from Post office to say packages at sorting office....I went to pick up this morning (only got back last nite...seems like been away ages!!!) they had been sent back to orig sender...I think it may have been my nxt CJ but the PO couldnt tell me who it had been sent back to...I have a ref nmbr but was unable to get thru to Custome Service 2day.....which CJ shud I be getting nxt??????

Joanne.... the CJ has been returned again to me as being unable to deliver.

The CJ will be posted out tomorrow morning now as I could not get to the post office today.

I dont know what to suggest. I have put a complaint into Royal Mail - I will put a photocopy of the letter in with your CJ.

I was questioned by MaryAnne with regards to the whereabouts of the CJ and explained yesterday that it had been returned to me.

I have taken on board Izzy's comments and not hand written the label, although my handwriting is good... I typed it up, put it in a new envelope not a reused one and sent it on its way.

I never seem to have any other problems sending items so am really at a loss what to do - espeically as you received the last one ok.

I will be posting again tomorrow...

Deb, RM haven't tried to deliver it this end....i know my postie(he knows where to leave parcels if i'm not in and if it's recorded leaves me a card to say its back at the sorting office and i asked my postie if he's had a parcel for me and he says no he hasnt had any) so i don't know where they're coming from when they say they've been unable to deliver as it hasnt been attempted to deliver here.

like you i'm at a loss as i never get problems with any other post.:unsure:

Hope this can soon be resolved as its really hard to do a CJ entry in a couple of days and keep up with the high standard everyone is putting in...i like to look at the Cj, what entries have already been done and think about what to do and plan it out before i start and i don't feel i can give it my best attempt in just a couple of days...i'm sure you can understand.:)

What a relief - they have both turned up! jane has contacted me about the one that Jaime thought had been returned by po while she was on honeymoon and she was right! However, jane will send it on today!:)

Deb, since you have had "i feel good" for a while with Jaime sending it to you early, how are you getting on with it?

i was just thinking that with the love/hate relationship you have with the post office, it might be better to post it as soon as you have completed it!:rolleyes: At least that would give Joanne a wee bit extra time to ponder of what to do after having to rush this one to keep to the scheduled posting date. I am sure that Joanne would appreciate it - and so would I!!:lol:

At least this one should be easier to find Deb. If you check the big grey receipt that you got for sending SD, you will find a number on it and you can actually track the WHOLE journey - not just when it gets signed for on arrival! Isnt that fabulous? I know that i use this service and like watching where the parcel is online - sad:P i know! Also, you should have specified a pre 9am or a pre 1pm delivery. Which did you choose?

Also, if it hasnt arrived on the right day, you are entitled to your money back! See here

to add ...just checked out the link that izzy has posted about Royal mail and as you posted it on the 27th Deb, it's definately late as i'm guaranteed to get it the next working day, which, taking into account bank hol monday ,was yesterday.so i'd advise as izzy does to use the tracking option.

This probably not a good time to make this suggestion since you are already having your own private war with the post office BUT......


is there any chance of you sending the other one that you have completed to Joanne? At least that way she might get one of them soon!

Very nice lady who could not apologise enough. The parcel for Jo is sitting in the sorting office close to my house. I asked for a reason and was told they would be investigating it.

Bad news folks!;)

I have informed Debu that i have dropped her from our cj. She will not receive any more cjs and once Joanne has safely received the two missing cjs, i will arrange for Deb to be sent her music cj

this is a serious step to take and i have thought about it long and hard however, i feel i have been left with no other options.

Deb has continually missed posting dates with only one of 7 cjs actually arriving on time. One arrived only 2 days before the next posting date and the one for the 7th posting has not arrived at all yet and we are due to begin our 8th posting on Monday.

She has not always complied with our agreement to post cjs first class recorded

I have had to chase her up for the smallest iota of information as sometimes she is online and posts onother threads but doesnt answer our questions on this thread or answer my pms

On two occasions she refused to give us the tracking number of the cj being discussed

Personally, i have problems with understanding how one person can have as much trouble with the post office as she has maintained and i have noticed that she seems to have had similar problems on other swapsl.

I hope we can move on and enjoy the last few postings of our cj.

been asking at my local post office about what you shoue do about the missing cjs. The postmaster has told me that you can claim £32 in compensation for each missing cj to be forwarded to the cj owners! Isnt that good news?:) I know that it is terribly disappointing for them not to get ther cjs back but at least this money would go some way towards them replacing their personal works of art!

Can you please follow up on this ASAP so that they can either have their cj or the compensation?

I know I should have communicated better, answered people's pm's etc.. at the moment I am burying my head in the sand hoping things will go away rather than being an adult and having to face my issues on here head on. I am going through a difficult period at the moment but now realise that other people have lives too and I have impacted on them.

I am geniunely sorry for causing stress to anyone through not receiving thier items on time.

worst case scenario

I have been thinking about how to try to minimise the disappointment caused by the 2 missing cjs and would like to make a suggestion.

How about sending the measurements of the pages to each member of the cj, who would then redo the pages they had done in your original cj and post them straight to you - recorded of course! I know that it wouldnt be the same, but at least you would then have a souvenir of your participating in your first cj and not just an unpleasant memory!:huh:
Unfortunately, this idea does mean you both having to remake a cj!!

Just thought I'd let you know who's been watching you !!

I attend a fortnightly scrap where most of us are fairly new to scrapping. Our host Anne Marie is fabulous and has been teaching us lots of techniquies to bring us on in leaps and bounds. Every time I received a cj I took it along to show the girls - you all received many appreciative ooohs and aaahs !

Well your brilliant pages have wowed them all so much that we have now begun a cj between the club members. Even discussing the themes and making our own books has been a big leap for some and everyone has been thoroughly enjoying the experience.

The girls would like to send you all a big THANKYOU for the inspiration !!

You need to understand that your behaviour over the returning of the two cj's has become that of an extremely deceitful person.

You have constantly lied for the last 6 weeks, claiming that you have posted the cj's, that they are in transit, that they have been returned to you as undeliverable and that they have been sent by special delivery. Nearly every day you have stated that you have posted the cj's and that they should arrive at Joanne's the next day. You have been asked by Izzy and Joanne for the tracking numbers of the packets and you have come up the most remarkable of excuses for not having them in your posession; from I'm at work, or they're in the car and it's being serviced to I don't have them right now. You have even had 'conversations' with RM and been put on hold and told to ring back, as they are looking into the whereabouts of the cj's. You've even found them on RM's website and it told you that they were in transit.

All of this Debbie, is a mass of complete rubbish. You have not done anything to forward those cj's and there's one thing I cannot understand, which is why?

You state that you've completed the entries, so that can't be the reason for not returning them. You state you have health issues, yet you still frequent this web site, you still work and you go on holiday and are obviously getting out and about, so your health cannot be preventing you from getting to the post office to post them.

Debbie, I fully appreciate things are hard for you right now and I am truly sorry should your recent health scare become a reality. However this is only very recent and your refusal to forward the cj's on has been going on for many weeks before this.

You have had plenty of opportunities to admit that there is a problem and to speak to someone about it, yet you continue to state that the cj's will be with Joanne soon. This has got to stop Debbie as you are beginning to make a fool of yourself. No-one believes anything you say anymore and quite frankly I don't blame them, do you?

I can arrange for a friend to collect the journals from your workplace if this would be convenient, however there must be some form of guarantee from you that they will be there.

You might have problems in your life, but there are others who have to face their own problems too, it's a part of everyday life in the real world. What you must understand is that your behaviour has consequences and sometimes you must face up to them, full on.

You need to consider others before you involve yourself in their lives. You might have the best intentions in the world when you start out but what you must do is think, can I carry this on until the end. You have let down two innocent people and have deprived them of their cj which, in fact, is their posession and as it stands, you still have them. In my eyes, your refusal to return them constitutes as theft.

Not only have the owners of the cj's been affected but also Izzy who has hosted this cj, whom I know has had many dealings with you regarding your problems with RM and at times you have been quite nasty with her when she has tried to make suggestions and provide solutions. You have also had an impact on Joanne's life as she has spent hours waiting in for the cj's (which you promised faithfully would arrive) to arrive. Her children missed out on going out on their half-term because Joanne waited for a special delivery to arrive. Then there's the remainder of the group; two of us won't get a cj to do this posting and both Joanne and I will only have 9 entries instead of 10.

Face up to reality Debbie and start being in control of your life. You might find you feel better too.

At the moment I am burying my head in the sand in the hope that all of my ever increasing problems disappear... however its not that easy - more problems keep appearing.

The CJ's are on their way to Joanne. They are not lost. I have completed the entries. I have had geniune problems with Royal Mail in the fact that they have returned several items to me as underliverable... I have no idea as to why but they did. On two seperate occasions recently with the CJ I had to collect it back from the post office.

I never meant to hurt anyone, cause anyone any stress or problems. If you knew me in real life you would know that I am one of the most loyal, kindest, least selfish people you would ever meet who always puts her friends first.

At the moment I am struggling to survive. Everything is such a huge effort for me.

I regretted hosting the prima flower swap, flowers were delayed in being sent to me, then I went on holiday for 2 weeks and came back to feeling even worse than I did before I went on holiday. With regards to the CJ - I pretty much could not cope. I cant cope with anything at the moment.

I dont know what to do or where to go. Tomorrow I go for another breast scan to find out if the lump in my armpit is cancerous or not....I am in bits.

My husband is cross at me for keep logging on here because he things I should leave things alone and forget about it all and concentrate on my health but I like UKS, I like the friends I once had on here and I find scrapping and the friends on here a big support.

You are probably reading this by now things what a load of rubbish... I dont know what else to say to you apart from how sorry I am that you are without a CJ at the moment. I am sure that as soon as Joanne recives the journals she will work on them really quickly and send them on to you.

I begged Izzy on numerous occasions to let me join back again and I understand why she or any of the CJ members dont want me to be a part of the group anymore.

I have posted a public apology on all of the threads I am involved in...

I really dont want anymore of my dirty washing publically displayed....I beg you, please let this be between us, I dont think I could cope with anymore humiliation.

I have learnt my lesson, dont take on board things I cant deal with and if I find mysef in that situation then the key to sorting out problems is to talk and be honest.

I'm sorry you feel that way Debbie, as there was no bullying involved.

You have hidden behind the pm facility for several weeks telling complete lies to us regarding the cj's, you have used that facility to tell us that you are having problems and you have used that facility to make up excuses for not sending the cj's. This is every Tenderfooter's cj and I believe that they are entitled to know what you are saying each time you reply to our requests as to the whereabouts of the cj's. You have had ample opportunities to be truthful regarding their whereabouts and ample opportunities to forward them on. As a member of this cj team and perhaps an outspoken one, I will not tollerate your behaviour any longer.

Deb, ONCE the girls either have their cjs, or have received their compensation, i will post your cj to you. Since you have so much trouble with the post office, would it be better to post it to your home or your work?
I am like Nicky and dont have any problem with the post office , so i will pm you my address and if they do get returned to you again, you can send them to me and i can forward them to the correct people.

Also, Deb, I really dont see how you can accuse Lucy of bullying you. As she stated we have tried for weeks to communicate with you over this matter and you have hidden behind the pm system. You have asked us - as well as other people in other swaps - not to post online. At first we complied with your request but have discovered that the only way you will answer our questions and communicate with us , is if we do raise the matters online.

Come on Deb, be fair to everyone. If you ask us to keep matters offline and we do so, you must keep your side of the bargain and talk to us. Once again you only have yourself to blame! As far as i can see, it is only when we take things online that we can get you to answer us!! I dont see how you can call that bullying in any way! We are trying to communicate with you the only way that is left to us!!

everyone has been more than fair with you even tho you have been...shall we say liberal with the truth at times.

you have ignored pleas for better communication and information, so what option does anyone have but to post on-line to try and get answers???

whilst i've said in my previous post ...i have every sympathy with your recent health scare but without going into details i've also very recently been thro something very similar ...as well as long term serious health issues that i have....as well as feeling down/depressed...and i have never used those as an excuse to lie to people or mess them around.

as lucy will tell you everyone of my cj's have arrived ontime , even tho sometimes i've only had days(once only 2 days) to complete and send on.

so i think it's now time for a little honesty and hopefully everyone can get their cj's back safe and sound...

I think I will have to close this at this point. I would ask that I am kept aware of where things stand and when the CJs are received, and unless Deb's mailings are NOT received within a reasonable time (and via PM she tells me her DH has posted everything yesterday but not recorded delivery, so Wends would seem reasonable to me) that the discussion be kept to the usual CJ chatter. I'm going to close this one, but do feel free to start a new one and carry on.

I do understand your frustration and sympathise. And I would plead for anyone in a swap or a circle who is experiencing difficulties of any sort to COMMUNICATE with their swap group or their CJ organizer. As this thread clearly shows, not letting people know what is going on is 100x worse than telling them you are struggling and it can quickly escalate. But I also don't want this to become an ongoing public humiliation for Deb. She has apologised for delaying things and claims the items have been mailed so let's let things sit till they arrive.
